Islam would not be in existence if imam Hussain didn't sacrifice his family and himself! Then not only would you be "Nor a Shia or a Sunni" you would not even be a muslim.
someone please explain to me about all this adulation of imam hussain. what did imam hussain or imam hassan ever do for islam? i do not mean to offend anyone but i have tried to research exactly what the sons of imam ali do for islam but i am not convinced that they deserve all this adulation. i am neither a sunni or a shia. i believe there were people like muhawiya who furthered the cause of islam by fighting the romans, byzantines and other non muslims who threatened early islam.
@mhuss56 Imam Hussain(R.A) gave his life to Islam..He sacrificed his whole family for Islam. Yazid wanted to make changes in Islam..Imam Hussain got killed by Yazid but kept Islam alive.
