well i spammed enough on this topic, Ian will always be remembered as an outstanding artist and whatever made him play the way he played doesn't matter, i always was and will be mesmerized when i hear him doing the impossible with that little thing.

I played flute in highschool and I didn't enjoy it too much, based on the songs we played. They were all so cold & mechanical, no feeling. When I heard this for the first time, I knew I would never doubt the flute again. I never even imagined it was possible to put so much feeling and emotion into a song. The first and most obvious thing you can say about this solo is that he's pouring it out straight from his heart and soul. So-fucking-beautiful.
