  • ps the guitar player is Bill Shandley, and if you see Ray at upcoming shows when he does not have his full band with him, Bill should be with him.

  • I was sitting not more than 6 or 7 feet away from Ray at this taping...the really funny stuf that went on was off camera during commercial breaks! LOL!!! God Save Ray Davies!

  • (^ the voice is Dave Davies: not ray. and if you look at the face, it ids DAVE. Ray isn't quite the same. i'm wierded out when ray and dave get mixed up.

  • Thanks trueblue

  • Is that Ray's brother David playing guitar?

  • no - i don't know who it is but it isn't Dave

  • It's Bill Shanley. Just search for videos here under that name to see some more of his music.

  • Thanks for the posting, Ray sounds great on Dave Letterman posting too!

  • Ray Davies is one of the great social commentators of the last 40 years. It is great to see him doing new music - the song is good. He must have cringed though when he was asked to play Lola for Kelly. I wrote a song on you tube called The Subprime Blues that has a little Ray influence and has gotten a bit of a following. Thanks for all the great music RD. Regis save The Kinks!

  • Amazing he was booked on this show! Sorry I missed it (work called), but good for R&K, or their producer, for featuring Ray.

  • This song it genius! I love it, somewhat reminiscent of Village Green. It pretty much sums up everything I feel about society today...things losing character as they become more and more the same. I wish people would understand this...

  • i know what you mean. so many songs from Village Green and Arthur still have meaning today.

  • Thanks for posting this. It's nice to see a living legend on TV again.

    God Save The Kinks!
