Ray Davies is one of the great social commentators of the last 40 years. It is great to see him doing new music - the song is good. He must have cringed though when he was asked to play Lola for Kelly. I wrote a song on you tube called The Subprime Blues that has a little Ray influence and has gotten a bit of a following. This song it genius! I love it, somewhat reminiscent of Village Green. It pretty much sums up everything I feel about society today...things losing character as they become more and more the same. I wish people would understand this...
