  • omg, do you ever go outside?...

  • From what I've been seeing, Lion runs better than snow leopard on a PC.

  • Hackindow.

  • Chris is really a cool guy if you follow his channel. But you can tell from this video that he really does not know much about Hackintosh's. tonymacx86 will continue to make OS X work seamlessly on PC's. :)

  • btw osx86 is perfectly stable, i rendered a 1080p 2hrs video using final cut pro, and had the system running for days without turning off or resetting. There is no need to buy a original mac.

  • I'm dual booting win7 and osx86 Lion perfect! check my channel. OSX is a good operating system but doesn't compare to windows. Windows will always been my No1.

  • this is fucking reatrded, ive gotted lion 10.5.2 on a 5 year old pc heres the specs:

    pentium 4 2.95ghz

    1gb ram (400mhz)

    80gb sata

    runs great

  • Just... wow. Someone desperately needs to get out of his parents' basement and experience female contact for the first time.

  • Wintosh.

  • I'm on a budget, Linux ( Ubuntu ).

  • you are a retard. Apple use the fucking Components as you find in a normal PC. you just pay less for the same hardware in a PC. For instance. The I5 in a mac is no diffrent to a i5 in a PC. The Kingston ram you find in mac is no diffrence all you have is to do your research before building your hackingtosh. i have one. everything run perfect so what you said in that video is just bullshit. the only diffrencs in my Hackingtoch is the motherboard. i got OC capabilitys mac dosnt !

  • this guy is such a fucking bellend

  • WINDOW WASH

  • Wintosh

  • Stability problems on a hackintosh? I got mine up and running since July 2011, not ONE problem, and the machine is intensely used.

  • This guy obviously hasn't done his research in how stable hackintoshes are.

  • You are an insult to the tech community. We should pride ourselves in 'hacks' and unique ways of making and using things. This ranting gets you no where.

  • Believe it or not!

  • I've pondered the idea of building a hackintosh to do dual boot on a gaming pc, but Windows 7 is great, as is OSX, and I would much rather run them on their respective platforms. Even running Windows 7 on a Macbook just doesn't feel quite right.

  • I want to say that yes Mac is a great computer but who can go out and pay $ 4000.00 for it so a hack will do till some one will pay that much for one or apple can come down on price.. I am in question, if it is a good Idea to up grade to lion ? At this point I haven't due to The scare of problems...

  • @themacman333 check out tonymacx84. they have some real useful forums. Lion updates have been pain free for some, and problem ridden for others. All depends on your configs and install methods.

  • You're an ass.

  • I've tried it in the past and it was exciting getting to do something that it wasn't built to do but as time went by i got frustrated with how slow it was and that not everything that worked with windows on my desktop didnt work in mac os x. I gave up and bought a mac but I have seen people put lion on windows PC's already.

  • Blowhard

  • this was a good explanation

  • It's just as easy to run OS X on a "PC". There are no clunky experiences on a proper hackintosh if you set out to run OS X on a "non-Apple hardware" (BTW, all Apple Mac hardware is in fact non-Apple hardware) using your head and follow simple guidelines. It is a given that if you intend to run OS X on your custom configuration you are gonna want to restrict your choice to certain components that match more-less those flavours you get in Apple's package. Aside from that what's the down side?

  • this guy is cool!

  • I wish you had the full understanding of how a "hackintosh" system works with PC parts. If you DO your homework & actually BUILD one of these units you'll see that they are JUST AS EFFICIENT & FASTER in most cases for 1/3 the cost. The guys at TonyMacX86, Kakewalk & InsanelyMac have a plethora of knowledgeable individuals that can get anyone up and running to help get a stable system running for years. Lion 10.7 works just fine on my EVGA SR-2 Mobo, X5650 CPU's, GTX 480 GPU w/48GB of RAM system.

  • the way you speak and act look like jon cryer (from 2 and a Half Men)

  • I have a hackintosh and quite honestly It's probably better then most iMacs people have that they buy for 1500 dollars. I have posted a video of it on my channel 16GB ram quad core with a pretty nice graphics :P

  • Windosh! Btw, TonyMacx86 just released his thing for the hackintosh!

  • windowstosh

  • What an idiot! Guess he's never hacked one before!

  • The end? Noohoho... It's the beginning!

  • The end? Noohoho... It's the beginning!

  • fuck this guy honestly fuck him

  • It has more compatability with more hardware such as Radeon 6870 GPUs and GTX 500 GPUs, so its made it easier to make a hackintosh with newer hardware

  • I have a hackintosh with lion, it works fine

  • this guy is so gay

  • no i have OS X Lion Running on my HP G60 and it works like a charm (even bettter than when i had snow leopard.

  • _)_

  • Funny how I'm actually viewing this video on my Lion Hackintosh. As long as you get the right hardware installation should be ok. Sure there are some challenges but who in the tech industry doesn't like a nice challenge? It's like how people were trying to run PS2 games on a PC, not to mention all the game console emulators. It's the challenge to make something work on something that it wasn't suppose to work on. Look at how Commodore finally figured out how to put a PC in their old 64 system.

  • no. have you seen the pirate bay?

  • I'm sick and tired of piracy thieves, good for you Apple, stop the thieves. They pirate games, movies, software, music. Let's bring a stop to these thieves.

  • @WestcoastMusicals You are just too naive.... People already successful hacked Mac OS X Lion... and i done a successful installation on my Lenovo ideaPad.. Dude, Piracy isn't all that bad... if you consider... People install Mac OS X on their PC, and if they like it, they might buy a real Mac. So it also could seen as a promotion for Apple. So...

  • @phantomellen Blah blah blah, people who steal a product don't go and buy the same product, when they already have it for free. No excuses you thieve. Thank god apple is going digital with there software, and if you don't have a mac computer you can't install anymore on your crappy off brand PC. Most people but Macs for the design(environmental friendly, energy star rated, sturdy build, unibody structure, and the beauty of the mac, plus our wonderful os that you love to steal).

  • @WestcoastMusicals Dude, i downloaded the BattleField 3 before and i like the game. So i brought the game. If you don't believe me, i will show you my recepit to you. As I said, people already hacked Mac OS X Lion, and whole bunch of people had successful installation on their PC, including me. I also downloaded the Mac OS X Lion and installed on my old Macbook.

  • @WestcoastMusicals: Oh, please. Almost all laptop sold on the market have Energy Star certificate and energy efficient. Come on fanboys, there is just no difference between a Macbook Pro and any other PC beside the design and the Apple logo. Both Mac and PCs use exactly same component (CPU, RAM, HDD etc.) So tell me, how is Mac so advanced than PC? I don't get it. At least i don't see how my Macbook Pro being so much better than my other Lenovo ideaPad laptop. They are just laptops.

  • @phantomellen Just go to apple.com and read about how Macs are better you noob. Aluminum unibody,no arsenic,no mercury,no BFRs,no PVC,no lead, etc. you noob.

  • @WestcoastMusicals: LOL... do you think Apple will say anything bad for themselves? Of course no... Of course Apple will say anything good about themselves and how "green" they are. In reality, Apple is polluting China's environment. Workers got sick for assemble Apple product. Chinese authority has forced several Apple's supplier stop production for environmental and health concern. Go read more news about Apple and come back for your naive comments. We all know what Apple really is.

  • @phantomellen If the chinese are getting sick it's because they are cutting back on safety and building materials to save themselves money. Non caucasians are known for dirty business practices. I wish apple could relocate it's manufacturing back to America, but our government is stiffs companies with so many taxes, and the Executives of these companies get payed too much to make the business profitable in America.

  • @WestcoastMusicals It is Apple's responsibility to make sure their supplier meet their safety standard. Apple has rights to refuse buy from the supplier who does not meet their standard. Also, even if Apple relocated it's manufacturing back to US, worker will still get sick as long as Apple use Aluminium. When you cutting the Aluminium into pieces or punching holes, Aluminium dust will hurt worker's health.

  • @WestcoastMusicals

Same goes for Dell, Lenovo and other PC manufactories too. Go check out.

  • @phantomellen no way jose

  • is it legal to create a hackintosh with a retail lion app and use the tonymacx86? i technically bought lion and im only virtualizing the darwin boot-loader.. so is it legal?

  • @Andrijpok no, not really, since to use the operating system, you have to agree to apple's terms, which includes them forcing you to use osx on there hardware, not your own.

  • @rich1051414 Isn't Apples EULA been proven illegal? I heard Phystar failed to prove this in court but Microsoft sued Apple for running Windows on Macs fine so Microsoft won a case against Apple saying Mac on PC's is legal but Apple will have no support for it what so ever.

  • @Andrijpok that is very possible, i didn't know about it. The opposite of this is why anonymous attacked the psn. Sony only allowing there software on there hardware, and were taking legal actions against people who posted tutorials on how to mod it.

  • wheres ur girlfriend bro?

  • Using native components and hardware you can make one that functions the same of not better for a fraction of the price, I have both a "legit" Mac and a hackintosh I prefer to use the hackintosh. In order to load osx you do technically break some laws

  • My I72600k @ 4.5 ghz 8 gb ram gigabyte z68 running osx Lion 10.7.2 (1000$) Geekbench= 16.032 VS :12core macpro (5000$)12 cores =Geekbench 20.000

    You do the math :))

  • @TheHugeTuber LMMMMMMMMAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..

    here here

  • Comment removed

  • I will simplify

Answer is: No. Windows 8 will.

  • Why are some of you people so down on this guy,did he hurt your little feelings?

  • Haha, I'm on my Lion i5 hackintosh ATM #Sandybridge ftw

  • I love my Mac-hack.

  • This guy is an a asshole.

  • @djordjepejakovic82 he's not an asshole, he's a fucking asshole!! lol

  • @djordjepejakovic82 toche. I don't know why, but if I ever meet him I am sure I will punch him real hard.

  • mindows theres ur word

  • The problem is that Macs ARE limited to those components. Under-powered, overpriced components. Why not buy an i7 PC with 8GB of RAM and an HD6870, but then hack it so it boots Windows and Lion? It would cost 1000 or less, and I'd get all the features of using musics software on Mac while gaming on Windows. Victory is mine!

  • i am writing this on my hackintosh netbook! long live hackintoshes!

  • Windows on a Mac with out bootcamp. Macindows.

  • @HydraGoesPro: That's my OPINION.

  • Does this guy have some mental issues?

  • There is hardware out there that's mac compatable, I belive 2 motherboard companies are making motherboards that are mac osx compatable, I don't think Hackintoshs will ever stop.

  • You're psycho...

  • LOL THIS GUY. high pitch voice, exaggerated shoulder flailing, exaggerated eyebrow bouncing, you are the worst phony.

but then again, aren't all fake nerd apple fans phonies?

  • @HydraGoesPro You sound a flaming homosexual.

  • what a tit.

  • you belong on the big bang theory tv show. you're a dork.

  • How about WINTOSH - or WINDOSH? MACINDOWS anyone?

  • @Mrphilharmonic What about Bootcamp? Loooooool.

Apple wasn't a a...hole they allow people to install Windows! :D

Btw I'm running a Hackintosh and I think my hardware can handle it to work with OS X Lion like a Apple PC do :P :)

  • @Mrphilharmonic i have windosh :D

  • actually its not a clunky experience. most of it is just adding device id to info.plist in kext. and iv been running lion since the very first dp, and it is actually easier than installing snow leopard

  • the word you're looking is Pwningtosh

  • "Lion the end of Hackintosh"? Far from it, in fact Lion was easier to get working then Snow Leopard. Just use Tonymacx86 Unibeast + Muiltibeast method, it's probably the easiest method out there I know, very soon I'll be posting an updated tutorial for beginners on how to install OSX Lion on intel based systems using that method.

  • Lion hackintoshes exist, and also brought my attention to new UEFI hackintosh bootloaders rather than that old boot-132-based technology. RIP Steve Jobs!

    ~Rico from Robdeltonie

  • Yeah.It's a good alternative.

The problem is. You don't experience of having Apple Portables =))

You keep on hackintoshing those laptops. But at the end of the day it is still a laptop made for Windows.(that feeling sucks)

So i recommend you, Why don't you buy black macbooks on ebay? They're kinda cheap :))

Originals are better than FAKES.Remember that.

I know the feeling 'cause i have a macbook and a hackbook.

    Macbook(Aluminum) with 10.7.2 and Hackbook-Dell Inspiron 6000 with 10.5(iAtkos)

  • @Protostark Sir, your argument is based on fallacious evidence. Maybe you can figure it out on your own. Just a pro tip for you.

  • I have both, I've made my PC a hackintosh on more then one occasion using leopard, snow leopard, and most recently lion. It works very well and pretty identical to the Mac, it's a good alternative if you don't wanna pay $2000+ for a good Mac.

  • lion is better than snow with pc & compatible with hardware

  • Yes but keep in mind macs have programs like bootcamp and someother think thats built in/ made for macs to ration hard drive space for windows softwear when you do it on a pc for mac softwear its harder

  • Are you just and emaciated thorax nailed to an office chair?

  • So you can talk about hackintoshs but not jailbreaking... *facepalm*

  • who cares?

  • This guy kinda retarded. You are totally none sense!

  • Your hand gestures are funny

  • Shoot Yourself

  • windowstosh

  • I watched this on my LION Hackintosh

  • Your ebullient facial expressions and body gestures are extremely frustrating for the viewer. Then again, the value of your posts is about as thin as the air on Everest, hence the need for visual gimmicks to keep the views counter active.

  • I watched this monstrosity of "reporting" on my hackintosh as well. How can you say a hackintosh is MAC OS X running on hardware that it isn't designed to work on? The entire concept of a Hackintosh is to try to use identical parts for 100% compatibility. Hackintosh computers didn't take off until Apple switched to Intel based processors. Mine has the same processor, video card and ram of several iMac models, I just didn't pay a 300% mark up in price for a logo. Why does anyone watch this guy?

  • NEVER! hahahahaha

  • If there's a man who can make it, there's a man who can break it.

  • wtf you're crazy and you look like a ass

  • its probably going to be like jailbreak mac will probably stop it soon :P

  • Fucking guy!

  • End my ass

  • Well this didn't pan out at all. Lion didn't do much. tonymacx86 will light the way and be your guide to making an incredible hackingtosh. My hackingtosh is silky smooth.

  • My HP ProBook doesn't agree with that. Do you want to know why?

  • I run Windows 7 on my I-Mac G5 and it works just fine, I use the Windows side of the partition when I want to play games. All of the games I have work like Rift and others but I haven't tried any new ones like Battlefield 3 yet !!

  • Why would you want to run OSX on a PC?!?!

    FreeBSD, Linux, Windows, Hakaiu, etc

  • @22ness0hayden Logic Pro 9

  • @22ness0hayden Because Linux sucks, and OS X has good software built for it.

  • @vahnfish Mac OSX is based on FreeBSD and uses a lot of free software that many Linux users will recognise. You keep paying top wack for it buddy lol

  • You could be a star on THE BIG BANG THEORY!

  • mac is crap and it always will be, they are over priced only ment to look pretty and have the worse tech support out there, funny thing is a friend of mine got an email sent to him about how he fixed a mac for a company which mac store said was unfixable. sorry but PC windows will always rule the computer world, dislike all you want but its the truth!

  • I like how you play on the "NERD" scene to make money, you pretend to be the extreme nerd on purpose. You're sad , you're like the fake sad clown. Except you're even more sad.Whore.

  • I have Lion on my hackintosh

  • I INSTALLED LION THE SAME DAY THAT IT WAS RELEASED

AND ALL WORKING PERFECT AND EVEN BETTER THAN IN 10.6

  • 2:00 - 2:40 Awesome unintended comedy.

  • If you are sensible you wouldn't want Lion on your Hackintosh anyway. It's terrible compared to Snow Leopard.

  • Why so serious?

  • right around the middle you said some beautiful things man

  • how about iWindows ???

  • Saying that it doesn't work as well is kinda short sighted, it works well on the hardware its compatible on, as well as an actual Apple computer (sometimes better). If you are trying to run it on incompatible hardware you will run into problems.

  • hackintosh is the best thing you could have, better and cheaper

  • Keep pressing 6

  • Hackintoshing = Getting the best bang for your buck when using OS X

  • I highly doubt cause it they will always find a way to do a Hackintosh

  • I saw you use Mac OS X on thinkpad

  • some people are not as fortunate as us and they deserve mac too! I own a iMac, and its great, but I also am trying to mac a Compaq-CQ61-405SA hackintosh. Its tricky but its interesting and its a community that I think, (at least until Apple release cheaper computers) won't ever die

  • Remember that spielberg movie 1941? the guy with the ventriloquist doll?

  • I watched this on my hackintosh. I think that answers the question.

  • @SomeLinuxUser <lmao @ your username! haha!

  • @SomeLinuxUser same

  • @SomeLinuxUser Me TOO! With 100% Working everything!

  • There's something totally wrong with this faggot he's whacked out dude go outside look at some girls or something...

  • Talking fast or moving your hands a lot just makes you seem over-caffeinated. Not smarter.

  • this guys a dumb ass! he knows nothing about what hes talking about!

  • You remind me of Lenard from TBBT

  • My hackintosh is running great!

    ~Lion

  • Apple has won an injunction against Mac cloner Psystar following a three year long trial that ended with Apple being granted the right to continue to restrict its operating system to Macintosh computers.

  • 100% stable, and goes like hell!

  • Hackdows

  • The best thing I like is that the Mac OSX Disc is $30 while the Windows 7 install disk is $150. So a custom build Hackintosh is cheaper by $120.

  • go to you tube abd enter " Hanckintosh Lion " ( or similar ) Instructions are there

  • U r a creepy man

  • fucking derp

  • its already been done .. i run osx lion on my pc with a few bugs i admit.

still prefer to get a mac .. but they are so f*@:{:@:{:g expensive!

  • Where is your pot of gold? Tell me!

  • @SuperPornIndustry Well, you would have to modify it after purchase... because Apple doesn't offer anything like that from their Mac Pro line, from their website...

  • @Robbsaber02 The iMac 27" with a 3.1GHz processor is a Quad-Core Intel Core i5, which anyone can purchase... they have an option to upgrade that to a 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 and adds $200 to the price of your iMac, which to start is $1,999, add the maximum amount they offer for RAM and CPU, the price jumps to $2,799.00. If I want the 27" with maximum offers, the price comes to $6,331.95... of course, some of the crap I don't need, so let me remove that... I still need $2,849.00...

  • ... to buy an iMac with a 3.1GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 16GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM, 2TB Serial ATA Drive, and an AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5... the 4 basic things, the CPU, RAM, HDD, and video card...

Let me find those same equivalents on Newegg for a custom rig...

Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz - $189.99 with free shipping...

    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM - $89.99 with free shipping

Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB - $99.99 with $8.80 shipping...

  • ... of course, I could find a drive with free shipping, but moving on... last but not least the video card... which if you notice, in the iMac, it has an M after the 6970, indicating that it's the mobile version of the GPU... I'm gonna get an actual video card... that's not the mobile version...

    The GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5 - $349.99 with $7.87 shipping.

So, now, combining the cost of all 4 items, and including shipping, I get a total of $746.63 for all 4 items plus shipping...

  • @CJCA915 I would rather stick with the base model 27" iMac. Even if it is i5. DO NOT buy RAM from apple. Install it yourself and save $300.

  • @Robbsaber02 Well, I'd just build my own rig, with exactly what I want in it.

  • @CJCA915 I agree. If your a PC gamer get a PC. If your a video/audio editor. Get a MAC.

  • @Robbsaber02 A non-Apple PC can do more than gaming, it can be very useful at video editing, etc. I do CG animation, etc. on a Windows based "PC" to avoid that whole Mac and PC debate... because I consider a Mac a PC, regardless to what anyone says... but any computer can do what it's capable of doing... I can get a custom build PC, with the same hardware specs as a OEM iMac, and minus the software, can do the exact same thing... I use Adobe Premiere for video editing... After Effects for FX...

  • @CJCA915 True, sorry I wasn't too specific. Windows is compatible with a lot of great software. I personally like Macs better for editing because of iMovie or Finalcutpro. Bottom line : Macs and Windows PC's are both great. It all comes down to personal choices and preferences.

  • @Robbsaber02 Well, looking between the 3, iMovie, Final Cut (Pro), and Premiere... I prefer Premiere...

  • Chris, the word you're looking for @2:32 is "hackindows"! ;)

  • macdoz

  • hacked a dell mini 10v... lame... switched back.... lame... linux ftw
