@madanmccoon123 Theres plenty of great sitarists out there. If you want to hear some REAL sitar playing try: Shahid Parvez, Ravi + Anoushka Shankar, Imrat Kahn, Vilayat Kahn, Nikhil Banerjee. As a novice sitar player myself, Its obvious to me that this guy has no clue what he's doing

Ravi is a master sitar player without a doubt. Many who know Indian Classical music say, and I agree, that Nikhil Banerjee and Shahid Parvez are better. I have a lot of music of all three that I enjoy equally.

@ysmzaika I am not saying he is in the level of Ravi Shakar or his students like Shahid Parviz,but he is perhaps in the third tier. At least one can enjoy the tune if he/she listens to it with an open mind. That's all I am saying. I am not claiming that I know much about this type of ethno-music, but I think this guy has studied long enough under the tutelage of a prominent top class teacher. Ravi Shankar himself played with the beetles and at the street corners in San Francisco in 60s and 70s.

sitars with amps are sound amazing wish this guy had a amp on :) but hes pretty good shame hes busking if i was on the street i would at least play in a resurant or hire out for weddings.

But one thing is for sure this guy will have no money problems in 5 years time if he keeps it up and gets his ass in gear, asia india are going to be the riches countrys on the planet in five years so this guy should use his story to get him a great job.
