  • Wow that is really something.

  • This is a later then 1916 Model, probably 1919 or 1920. 1916 Models were still grey and had a differently shaped primary chainguard.

  • Both the chain guard and paint color could be retro fit, any other details that don't fit?

The motorcycle is owned by a Harley dealer in Arkport, NY they might be correct. Contact them on their web site. Thanks for the close look at the video.

  • In addition to the shown primairy chain guard which was introduced together with the new clutch in 1919, the forks have the longer 1919-1920 tubes, the inlet manifold is later than 1917 and the inlet valve mechanism has covertubes also introduced later then 1916.

  • I like em all black, no chezzy decals or pin striping. This hack is perfict. True art!!! Twilight

  • interesting video. perhaps a commentary might be interesting as well. nice closeups of the different components as well.

    thanks

  • Thanks for the comment. Most artifacts in museum's speak for themself, anything I could ad would be just BS. I have a video of an old Indian sidecar motorcycle unrestored at the museum not yet posted. I love what they have done at the Curtiss Museum, they are a great bunch. Search Youtube for "Curtiss Museum" for other videos.
