  • so basically you have to pay $99, to get thousands of plug ins, FOR "FREE". -_-

  • @TaylorisGodly total bull shit, TORRENT AWAY!

  • Thanks for the explanation

  • can u help me ?

i have the Mbox2 but i don't have the cd

because i have my Mbox from my Onkel

what i need to do now ??

    Thanks

  • his body language speaks to me.

  • how can you put vst effects into audacity and not a fancy program like pro tools??

  • Why don't you just use a DAW that has VST support and isn't proprietary or hardware-tied in the first place?

  • doesn't beat cubase for midi maybe the new version 9 is ok

  • will this work with PT9

    thx

  • Before we dye our hair lets first talk about Protools...

  • Brad is foxy!

  • Pro Tools is massively overrated, just about any other program is easier to use and has a much better layout , not to mention wayyyyy more versatility.

  • @GRowNiceProductions true. i bought pt8. i also use fl studio. was naive to the fact that protools doesnt recognize vst's. which is bullshit. and i got that fxpansion wrapper and it only works with certain plugs. im about to sell my pt8 and get cubase or something that readily uses vst format.

  • kool stuff

  • People are actually still debating which DAW is better??? they are all the same...There is no music you can create in pro tools that you can't create in logic, pro tools, fl studio (9 and up), or ableton. The only DAW that really limit you are ones like reason who want to keep all the money for themselves and now allow any vst's. The fact of the matter is the best DAW is the one you know the best. Try putting a Pro tools producer on logic and see if he can create the same music or vice versa

  • R-tas Sounds Better ,

So when you make a vst an r-tas does it sound like a true R-tas ?

  • mmm what would enhance my Pro Tools experience........ use Logic 9 instead lol!!

  • so i have to do the same for autotune evo, TO WORK IN PRO TOOLS 8 >? is no another way?

  • Thats all well and good, but how do you manage all of your vst/rtas plug ins? I cant seam to find a simple import button or anything.

    little help?

  • Now I Can Add Some More Good Sound :)

  • 1:22 - 1:36 LOL hahahah

  • You're not 15 anymore, put the hair die down bra!!!!

  • @krishotsaucemiller

    yeah bra!!!

  • @krishotsaucemiller lmfao hahahahaahaha

  • @XxDUMBFOUNDEDxxX Oh shut up.

  • Cool

  • very helpfull, tanx

  • what about guitar rig? I have installed guitar rig while seems the rtas adapter doesn't detect guitar rig...

  • hey, I'm thinking about getting LE.

What does he mean 'ships with reason and ableton'?

Does that mean, if I bought an 003, I'd get LE, Reason and Ableton legitimately? Surely not...

  • Yep

  • so if i wanna record my motif and mv 8800 into pro tools i would need to buy this

  • no, u dont need this if you want to do that. u can record ur piano directly to protools. this is only for vst's.

  • ooooooooo

  • No You could just go direct. I think the motif has a s/pdif output and an adat one as well.

  • The VST RTAS wrapper is not 40$ its more like 100$ from the digidesign website

  • Excellent video. Thank you.

  • ok... guy

  • HELP!!

ive been trying to figure out if i need a MIDI keybored to play with a VST plugin...or if i could just assign the vst to the ol' computer keybored..ya know like garage band for the mac....????

  • Only Fl studio and Propellerhead Record have that feature.

  • what if I want to wrap Sprectrasonics Stylus from VST to RTAS to use in protools? will it still find the audio library with all the sounds and beats?

and does it work with all vsts?

  • Has anyone tried this program?? the VST to RTAS wrapper???

  • if u change ur vst's to rtas will the plugins still work in other programs such as cubase

  • I used the VST to RTAS adaptor version 2.0 and now all of my VST's are .dll files. They won't show up in Pro Tools. How do I fix this????

  • Can i also use VST Instruments with this program, or ist it just for effects?

  • hey anyone know where i can get a pro tools update that will let me use reason and protool le on a mac leopard its got some rewire issues

  • you can go to the digidesin page and find the update to make everything compatible with your leopard system. if you have the pro tools 8 upgrade by now then you should not have any problems at all.

  • LOLLL "Like ah candy wrapper" haha

  • this guy looks queer as hell

  • lmfao

  • I kinda thought so too... :P

  • For anyone interested in using BFD2 in Pro Tools, check out the SkinnerBrosMusic BFD2/V-Drum Tutorial by searching: skinnerbrosmusic bfd2

  • fxpansion crashes so much, they really need to incorporate VST into pro tools

  • cubase the best..still

  • protools beats cubase by miles...

  • @Jenxiio that's a bad statement. i use pro tools, i have used cubase since sx3 and the last time i saw cubase they have so many thing's that PT can't do. like the region volume boost which is similar to drawing automation volume in PT but is different in the fact the that your not just pushing the fader up but you are raising the gain or lowering it (whatever case may be). and PT took off the OMF option and you must buy it on a separate bundle for another 2G's that's so studpid.

  • @Jenxiio

    fanboy..

  • @Jenxiio cubase has a better work flow and midi but pro tools has that "extra kick" others dont

  • @Jenxiio cool story bro

  • @Jenxiio What about FL Studios?

  • is it as easy to quantize in cubase? if so i think ill go learn it

  • Yes, absolutely.

    under "event"

    forgot shortcut though

    you can add swing/randomizing

  • I still havn't tried Cubase. I must say, I really don't like Pro Tools, it's very restricted. I only use it because it's industry standard... :/

  • It's great for editing. I'm very comfortable with it for that, but for everything else it's pretty shabby.

  • Da problemas en win ..

  • i'm on PC windows vista, should i buy ableton live or pro tools?

  • Im a fan of ableton live personally...

but honestly both programs are fairly limited in terms of starting instruments... ableton has some pretty cool free downloads on their website which GREATLY increase the options available to you..

  • I just loaded in all the Fruity Loops plugins into Live. There's a fair few reasonable plugins with FL Studio 7. I'm a huge Live fan, I use it quite literally, in live applications, whereas I use Pro Tools in the studio.

  • or just use Cubase....

  • the effects of cocaine folks

  • Yea, I have RTAS plug-ins, but I can figure out how to import them into pro tools. Any help..?

  • put them in your plug in or RTAS folder in protools

  • i still cant figure out how to put my plug-ins for example "classic compressors" into protools at all. they came with my mbox free . so are they vst or rtas or whatever? i tryed to drag the install icon into my plug-ins folder then install them but it didnt seem to help. nothing new popped up in my audiosuite or inserts when i started up protools. do i need an i lok key for this? someone please HELP!#!

  • I'm sorry, you are mistaken. The "Classic Compressors Bundle" does NOT come with a standard LE or M-Powered setup (Mbox/Mbox2/002/003).. The Digirack and Free Bomb factory series plug-ins that DO come with a system like that should be installed automatically when Pro Tools is installed. Licenses to use those other plug-ins are sold separately, Classic Compressors is around $595- for instance.

  • Is there going to be delay? The kind that Pro tools LE /mbox doesn't compensate for?

  • sweet sweet sweet sweet!!!!!!!

  • **Just like a CANDY WRAPPER** haha... uhhhhhh....

  • Sounds like a good thing. What I'd like to know is will my VST plugins still work with my other DAW? I'm using Sonar 6.0 and ProTools LE 7, both, on my PC.

  • already got it newest version worked on all my 234 vst's "flawlessly"

  • This video should elaborate on this VST wrapper not fully doing it's job. A better wrapper would ensure all the VST plugins it wraps work in Pro Tools. A LOT of these wrapped VST plugins crash pro tools.

  • (Reply) (Spam)

First Off what are vst plug ins?

    Vsts?

And If you use them with protools can quantize?

Can you get Vsts for Logic Pro

  • thanks for this i can finally use all my plugins from Fruity Loops into pro tools, Its about time

  • Thanks Im glad i know that now, im just about to move to Logic after using Cubase for years,...

  • awesome!
