  • Funny that the closest anyone got to his Belmont record was his son Risen Star :)

  • Dare you go Red! Eddie ALWAYS called him RED

  • this was an amazzing movie

  • does anyone know who sang this version of happy day?

  • @2100bluegill The Edwin Hawkins Singers

  • @b0stonz thanx.

  • 'He is moving like a tremendous machine!' That's a line from the actual race call at Belmont. A great line!

  • i rember this race! and I LOVE THIS MOVIE !!

  • My favourite part of the movie!

  • I luv the christian touch of the movie,,,,, 111!! That gospel singers give u the chills, !!!

  • Secretariat is like a tremendous machine!

  • The funny part is when Poncho is clapping and as Secretariat is pulling away and he stops clapping and says "That's impossible".

  • The real Penny was there!

  • Read Secretariat's heart was twice the size of a normal horse heart, which gave him the stamina to run like he did. Awesome! Peace, everyone.

  • The older lady at :12 is the real Penny who owned Secretariat. I saw that in the credits at the end of the movie. Fantastic movie!

  • i thought secretariat tripped and broke his leg

  • @DuoAkira I think ur thiinkin' of Ruffian

  • "let him run" yeh. he did run. <3 you can tell he loved it.

  • I imagine, had Penny's father been healthy during his later years, Secretariat would have never been a racehorse. Penny would not have needed to come and help out at the estate had that been the case. O.O

  • For a horse to be able to run that fast at full sprint for over a mile has got to be exilarating for the horse. I wish I could run like that!

  • One of the best horse movies ever. There will never be another Secretariat though.

  • Love the movie, but they should have used the actual race call. In 1973, the announcer didn't know what to say as Big Red got further and further from the other horses. A tremendous machine. Greatest horse in racing history.

  • the dislike is sham

  • Best PART HANDS DOWN! I cry every time!

  • Look in the dictionary, under the definition of whoop-ass, and you will find Secretariat's picture...

  • I have a pic of secretariat winning the Belmont stakes and Ron looking over his shoulder (signature of Ron, too)

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!!

  • He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing. He does not shy away from the sword. He can not stand still when the trumpet sound.

  • @tiejasmine Classic Line

  • Big Red saved his best efforts for the last race. this horse somehow knew this race was very important.

  • 0:13 The real owner of Secretariat

Secretariat is the greates race horse to ever live!

  • 1:53 lol

  • @ArtNinja1996 just relized the old woman in 0:13 is the real penny!

  • I always get the chills and tear up at this part! He was such an amazing horse!

  • Thats impossible!!! Well it did happen and pulled together a nation torn between the vietnam war and watergate, When he was put down the autopsy proved that big red had a heart 2 and a half times larger than he was suppose to. Put mildly he just had a bigger horsepower motor. RIP Big Red....YOU Super horse !!!! List as one of the top 100 athletes of all times

  • Penny at 2:40 FTW!!!!

Secretariat ran like the wind. The scary part about that race...he was STILL pulling away when he crossed the finish line. I don't care what anyone says. He holds the record for the Preakness too in my book. Best Race Horse Ever. RIP.

  • @drumma4lyfe06

Yep...I read an article that Secretariat ran each successive quarter mile faster than the previous.....i.e...he kept on accelerating, which is insane to think. Looks like he would have taken off if the race was any longer! lol. Greatest ever.....and title will remain forever.

  • @mjc6184 Completely agree.

  • @mjc6184 Sec increased his speed throughout the KD & Belmont. He still holds both track records 38 years later. What he did in the Belmont has never been done in history, before or since, when he ran the Belmont. He not only increased his speed the ENTIRE race, after the 1st quarter mile, he broke the world track record EACH quarter mile & was still speeding up at the finish line. It defied the laws of nature. The SOLE athlete in history to accomplish that feat:-) We'll never see it again..

  • @cmf4321 yes because God blessed unequivocally only He gets the praise. It cannot be attributed to anyone or anything else.

  • Greatest Horse The World Have Ever Known

  • Secretariat wins by 31 LENGTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO

  • "Ronnie don't fall off!" lol :)

  • it's priceless when Ronnie looks back.

  • Best damn music placement ever.

  • Very emotional scene plus an emotional song, can't go wrong. I love this movie

  • That actually was a cameo appearance of Miss Tweedy in that scene!

  • @caryt59 yeah. we all got that.

  • NGL! They scared me in this scene. With the silient part I thought something bad happned like his heart bursted or something.

  • This movie is amazing ! it gives the chills . :$ Just everything about the movie is so inspirational !!.

  • It looks like the real sweeney todd at 0:12

  • @likespaintball i meant to say penny lol. I just watched the sweeny todd movie and had that in my mind lol.

  • The ending still makes me cry eventhough the "actor" horse ran nothing like the real thing...Big Red. But then again what horse has?

  • Wow......That seen rocks!!!

  • BEST part of thre movie!

thanks so much for uploading it ahah
