You should really think about getting rid of that cam. You could pick up a lot more all over the board with a better cam and matching springs. Plus gain drivability.
@fidstang I know I could gain more power, but honestly I built one engine and that's enough for me. (I enjoy the driving not the wrenching) I'm going to leave this one alone, and let it die . After that it's either a n/a crate engine, or a stock (ish) long block and a single turbo (GT40- GT42).. easier to just pull the engine and slap in a new long block when you crack the block.
The color combo is oxford white and titanium, I have the same car, bought new in 89, still got her today but I got rid of the GT bodywork and added saleen body cladding.
@umiqo26 White and silver. Don't know if the white and silver is a stock combo. But the colors are the factory colors. (sorry I don't know the exact name or number of the colors) The wheels are TSW. I don't know the model on those either. I bought the car as is, but with out an engine. That's all I have done to the car.
How is that C&L meter working out for you? I had to replace mine with a Pro-M. I could never get the C&L to give me a stable idle (yes, I had the correct sample tube, calibrated for my injectors). Cold starts were the worst. Up and down constantly until the car reached operating temp.
hey man this mustang is like perfect man i know u love this car but would u consider selling it.if not can u tell me what paint it is and what kind of rims are they
@marquisehoward1 I would consider going a little lower on compression, and more displacement maybe. After getting help from a sprint car engine builder he said he likes to run around 9.0:1 on the few street engines he has done. This was after I had a bottom end put together of course. I'm no expert though, so take it with a grain of salt.
@marquisehoward1 Yep. Number of factors...... It' was 100+ degrees outside when this was done. The compression is probably too high (10.5:1) for the crappy 91 octane in AZ. The guy tuning it said it started detonating with little advance in timing.
Plus I told him that I wanted more of a rich tune anyway just to be on the safe side. The cam and intake combo could be improved, but I still would be running into detonation due to higher compression.... Thanks for the comment
@Xarmy187 I know...... The compression ratio is too high for 91 octane. That's the other big part of my low numbers. The tuner said that he wouldn't be surprised to see a 100 hp gain if I were to go to 110 octane. I will have to wait till I have a truck to make a dedicated race gas car. It's my 1st build and I'm happy having my buddy try to keep up in his 422whp '03 cobra.

so 10.5:1 compression is too high for 91 octane fuel i was going to go with a similar compression and all we have is 91 octane here

I was expecting bigger number from a set up like that
5.0 magazine made 405 with almost the same set up...

eek, my 302 with 160,000 miles made 314hp and 328 trq after 10 pulls, engine hot, and it being 92 degrees outside. Got it tuned the other day.
Your cam is really holding you back.
