There is something I still dont get when steping up voltage if you want 1.5 million volts then do you have 1.5 million turns ? I know if you're primary is say 240 volts or 120 volts you would do the same number of turns as the voltage you want. Can you plz help me as I want to build a homemade step up transformer.

@67tr876 no, the primary is 4800V, the tesla coil isnt a normal transformer, my primary has 8 turns and the sec 900 turns, and the secondary output is more than a million volts, even if you have 100x more turns in sec than in the pri, the output can be 200x or more than the input, the output voltage isnt proportional with the number of turns

@awesomelightning hey, if you are using a NST you can do around 30cm sparks easy! try with different number of turns in the primary! tell me what is the capacitance of your capacitor

xD I'm using the same power supply as Giga (3600W max.) Giga use just 2200W, Armageddon "eats" around 3000W from the power supply maybe more XD

resulted 10cm sparks in the first tests with 11 turns on the primary XD ^-^ now its 8 turns on the primary =D
