i know people are saying stuff about the integrity of the korean music industry. let me just say, a lot of the hype about idols is because of foreign fans from china, japan, malaysia,philippines, etc.. jung yeob, and singer's who have as much talent and musicianship as him are recognized, loved, and well known. people don't seem to understand that though because all we see are idols on TV. this is because of fan clubs and foreign fans. in korea, people actually do appreciate this kind of music.

I'm somewhat disappointed that this live performance of Nothing Better was less noticed than a subpar performance from Jonghyun from Shinee singing the same song. Ballads don't really have a place in the Korean market. We need more music like this but these music companies keep on pumping out teenybopper groups left and right. What a sad sight from what I first saw when I fell in love with Korean music.

And I am sad with that fact that ballads don't have a place on places like musicbank, musiccore, mnet countdown, and inkigayo. There is soo little ballad singers compared to idols that are featured and actually win. Not only internationally, but in Korea, locally as well ballads are overshadowed. I find that quite depressing. That's all I'm saying.

It is the same with the weekly music programs such as M.net countdown, Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo. I know there are legendary singers in Korea such as Lee Seung Chul, Kim Bum Soo, Yim Jae Bum, Lee Eun Mi, and many others, but I am just saying as I see it. I wish solo ballad singers with skills get more recognized. That's all.

They don't deserve to get a sticker of teenybopper only because he choose to debut in company. @G2IntegraDA Perhaps you shouldn't base what you see on YouTube as what's "noticed" in Korea. Keep in mind ALL of the videos on YouTube are uploaded by users. Whatever is popular will get uploaded. Talented singers tend to have long careers, as opposed to the teenybopper groups who rise quickly and fall just as fast, if not faster. You want to know why the music companies focus on the idol groups? Because they're cheap to produce. If they become popular, it's instant profit. If not, start over.

That disappoints me because being from overseas and also not Korean, it is quite hard for me to get new music other than watching Music Core, Music Bank, Inkigayo, M.net Countdown. So what I do get is teeny bopper groups, don't get me wrong, I do like them and some are talented, such as Hyorin and Taeyeon etc
