Why has Government refused the same plan? They are too smart to drink the fucking water dumb ass!
As Obama protects the phone privacy of Terrorists and invades the public's private medical records, he builds his invasive medical data base. He can perform hidden blood testing in government labs that tell them exactly what drugs you use, types of ailments and even mental Health conditions. Government will have access to an individuals private life with only one click of a mouse. Best part is Obama fooled most into believing its what they really want and need in the same way he became elected.
Forcing the purchase of insurance is conversion if not seizure. Useful idiots believe government is going to care for them. Health care isn't the issue, it's about liberty being eroded by rogue politicians. This is no longer a democratic republic when payola is used to pass law or non-elected officials like czars or EPA goons dictate policy by arbitrary order or decree. "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have". Thomas Jefferson
More people will become ill in the future because the environment is going to hell and people are not eating as well due to the recession. That will put a lot of pressure on the proposed health care plan, which will cover more people = more people will want to see a doctor.
Questions come to mind...Hmm...where will all the 'extra' doctors come from, or, will there be INSANE waiting room times? Who is going to pay the trillions of dollars gov't will borrow to enact this plan? YOU!
The government creates the problem and then claims that it needs to get more involved in order to solve the problem it just created....*cue Twilight Zone music*
He's right though. The proverbial domino has been knocked over and we just have to let the rest of them fall where they may.
@Hatesfury08 YOU may "have to let the rest of the dominoes fall where they may." I don't believe that people are stupid, inanimate slabs when awake; shame you do. I believe six people awake can hold up one who sleeps for a day.
The problem with health care is that the AMA has a government sanctioned monopoly on who, how many, and what is taught to doctors. I would rather go to a natuorpathic doctor but I can't buy insurance to cover that option. If I have a backache I would rather go to a massage therapist than a MD who will only prescribe drugs for the pain but do nothing to heal me.
You are correct about there being a controlled monopoly on who can be a doctor and what they are taught. The AMA was behind it, but does not operate it. Many doctors quit the AMA and rejoin for a bit a few years later. My uncle was a doctor (orthopedic surgeon) and he would always try the slow, non-invasive methods before surgery. He would refer people to chiropractors all the time, or try physical therapy before cutting a person open.
this country is bankrupt, the main reason for this bill is to enforce more taxes on population - but they have to bullshit you that you will get something. health care - there you go. money extracted will find its way back to corporations - those in bed with government. the pay will be mandatory - obviously starting lower - and after couple of years - the taxpayer will be in awe. government will blame raising costs on terrorists. it is the beginning of the end. well done !!!
Another comment. Its not lies until the bill is signed into law. The senate will force the bill to be more moderate or it won't get passed. The house bill is pretty much DoA, so why wouldn't you admit that?
There are good and bad things in this bill. The bad: the way health care is being paid for, the good: the restrictions on the health insurance companies power. See, the thing is, insurance companies weren't not covering illnesses that people didn't pay for, they were dropping peopel after they reached their cap for having an illness like cancer, even when they had the best plan available. Why? Profit
10% is only people who receive checks. That doesn't include people who stopped looking for work, work part time, and canceled unemployment. U-6 unemployment is about 17-20%
Unemployment is officially 17%? According to the US Department of Labor it is 10.2% which to say the least is a huge difference. Where do you get your information and why do you call it true news? On your website you state that "I try to avoid opinions, and instead talk about proof and rationality." Can you back up some of your claims with facts?
The actual rate is closer to 20% if you count discouraged workers, those who lost their jobs and decided to go to school instead. The rating you're pointing out also does not acknowledge those who work out of their fields to make the payments due to lack of work in their original departments. 20ish% covers anyone who is not currently employed in their field.
too bad both the A.M.A. and the A.N.A. support universal health care. The house bill is not the final draft. there is still steps before it is given to the president. This so called poor is the working class, theres more peasants than lord of the lands. this part of health care is a work to a bill. nothing is concrete. Your opinion requires nothing of substance, just whining. Democracy ask you to challenge the given government, not run from it.
This country is a republic if you have the balls to express your freedom. They can't force me to purchase health insurance. They can't force me to pay income taxes. They can shoot me but I will shoot back.

The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
The Bill of Rights and the Constitution were documents hundreds if not thousands of years before their time. Only a few people truly appreciate them. I find it appalling that so many Americans have fallen for this socialistic CRAP, this overt slavery to a system not of the founder's design. Any form of socialism that stems not from intrinsic personal ideology but rather has roots in a political system is not a true form of socialism and is inherently corrupt. It is tyranny. I'm depressed.
Here is an idea. How about get rid of the government from the whole healthcare system that it actually becomes a free market. Get rid of the FDA and all the licensing that doctors have to go through.
This will reduce costs drastically. I know from experience here. I go to an illegal dentist (oh no!), with no paperwork I get good care with a fraction of what I would pay in a "real" office.
Why are you so surprised? There is nothing surprising about it. A group of people peacefully and voluntary working together. Why is this a radical idea in the first place?
When people ask me why I have so much trust in the free market. I just tell them to look at around and see that statism does "work" (ignoring all of its problems). So if that can work then the free market can definitely work.
The only problem with this kind of clarity is that it now hurts so much to see how overwhelmingly twisted it is. I used to view politics as a second rate soap opera that I could just change the channel from but with these pricks are on my doorstep I can't go out for the morning paper.

Everyone deserves to eat. Everyone deserves to have a roof over thier heads. Everyone deserves to be educated well enough to have above average wages. Everyone deserves to have as many kids as they want, regardless of cost. Everyone deserves to be conscripted to serve the greater good. Everyone deserves to have adequate personal transportation. It's for your own gooe, you know. What do you deserve?
thetimman00 ---no one deserves anything other than what they will work for. If you don't work you don't eat. If you don't go to school to be educated you don't deserve to make above average wages. If you can't afford to have all of the children you want you don't deserve it. What is the greater good??? Who's going to pay for adequate personal transpo???
You are sounding pretty much like a socialist...am I missing something here?
This is childish, it's doublespeak for "I don't want to work for my own health, i don't want to work for my food, i don't want to work for my education, etc." You want to live, but you don't want to absorb the consequences, but want to dump it on society. This is not liberty or freedom, this is tyranny of the masses.
If you feel shame or anxiety about your wealth relative to other people, then use your life and your property to manage those feelings. Commit to rigorous introspection through therapy, or just give your money away and enter voluntary poverty.
But other human beings do not belong to you. They are not your possessions, to be used for the mitigation of your unease.
Do not imagine that using other people and their property to manage your anxiety makes you in any way superior to the rest of us.

oh my god are you nuts? At least 5, 000 dollars a year on a health insurance!? In the Netherlands EVERYBODY pays max 2 000 dollars a year and they are covered for EVERYTHING. I don't want to "choose" between a million crappy rip-off insurance policies, everybody wants to be healthy and everybody should have access to the same treatments.
If this is your first look at stefbot's videos please watch some of the other ones before making comments like this. You've made yourself look very silly.
Whatever good might be done in the short term to alleviate costs will make things worse in the long term as their plans will escalate in kind, if not in excess of these measures.
Even if you're right, it's a moot point as that won't happen before its too late.
Sorry, it won't balance the budget nor give a surplus. It would help, but no where near enough. This was explained in a two part video with Stefbot.. As for paying for health care, "we" don't need a State to manage health care. (Don't need a State at all tbh) They done it enough in the past to kill whatever worked, like the Friendly Societies.
Agreed! If they really wanted to fix healthcare they could have done it in 200 pages. To screw the American people it takes 2000+ to hide all the unfriendly legislation. Many of my Democratic friends have reversed on Obama and Im sure once this is law and they what is really happening they will hate it too. What they dont understand it there is only us Cattle they dont see demicrat and conservative cattle. They just see cattle that give them power and that they can control.
I'd like to be the first to welcome you to an adult conversation.
Now, I know this might be a new experience for you, but civilized people don't use words like "fuck" to make intelligent points. If they do, the instantly loose all credibility.
No it means the state will take a chunk of money out your paychecks to pay for things you object to(subsidies, war, "regulation" that protects big business) or that people could handle just fine on their own(better even with prices, profits and losses gauging what people desire[roads, schools, police]).
Of course if you don't pay this money you are taken to the state sanctioned dungeons and rape rooms(oops I mean correctional institutions).
As always, you did an EXCELLENT job of explaining a very complicated subject. Please keep the great videos coming!
I believe this bill will prove to be a major JOB KILLER simply because many people will be forced to disconnect or discontinue unnecessary bills like cell phones, satellite radio, magazine subscriptions and cable-vision just to be able to afford the government required insurance. Sorry Detroit, but there goes that new car I'd planned to purchase.
I LOL'ed at "Government fighting obesity" when it is actually government subsidies of High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) and punitive tariffs on sugar that has created the obesity epidemic in America in the first place.
Everywhere else in the world uses sugar, not HFCS, and they have way less obesity than the US. Another example of the unintended consequences of government intervention.
I know that you yourself are interested in a gradual and peaceful transition to a free society, but if the bill is bad enough do you think Americans will finally be convinced that the fault isn't freedom but violence?
Heck, I would think that the more openly authoritarian the bill the better it is for the freedom fighters.
If the hundred quadzillion dollars of unfunded liabilities doesn't do it, why would this? Does it hurt the people it hurts enough that they would be willing to stand against the people it benefits? Especially when it's their family, friends, etc? Remember, the slaves mostly keep themselves in check.
And when they won't any more, well, they have hundreds of thousands of men with guns and helicopters and tanks to quickly deal with that situation!
This Act is simply a way to get the poor to pay for their own medical treatment. It cuts Medicare and will end Medicaid as we know it. They are replaced by the requiring even the poorest to purchase of insurance. Where are the angry activists who claim to help us? Their "under haystack fast asleep."

spikeslawson 2 years ago 5
Like Stef has said before, pieces of paper do not have magical evil stopping power. Otherwise the Constitution would have worked. It isn't working!
TheStig000 2 years ago 4
The constitution is just a piece of paper it can't do anything by itself. If enough people stand up and act like free men this country can be saved.

What do you deserve?
thetimman00 2 years ago
thetimman00 ---no one deserves anything other than what they will work for.
Rangerday1 2 years ago
@Rangerday1 Glad you see the falsehood.
thetimman00 1 year ago

This is the problem when people take economics 101 then read up on Mises. They come up with idiotic conclusions like the ones in this video.

What conclusions? All the evidence in this video is fact. You haven't made an argument at all..

Yeah bc stefbot totally advocates war. Oh, wait, no he criticizes violence at every turn. If you watched his videos you'd know his stances.
Health care would be profoundly cheaper were it not for the state.

All we need to do is END both wars and shut down all oversees bases.
That alone will pay for health care, upgrade our schools, repave every road, and still have a surplus to pay off the deficit. Won't that be nice?
yo1dude1man 2 years ago
I'm skeptical.
Whatever good might be done in the short term to alleviate costs will make things worse in the long term as their plans will escalate in kind, if not in excess of these measures.
Even if you're right, it's a moot point as that won't happen before its too late.
ascii7085 2 years ago
Sorry, it won't balance the budget nor give a surplus. It would help, but no where near enough. This was explained in a two part video with Stefbot.. As for paying for health care, "we" don't need a State to manage health care. (Don't need a State at all tbh) They done it enough in the past to kill whatever worked, like the Friendly Societies.

The money is huge but not the primary problem.
The real problem is:
-AMTRAK
-USPS
-MEDICARE
-Social Security
-And many more
All are bankrupt and way over budget with US tax payers picking up the tab.
Healthcare will be another spectacular failure by our government.
Also based on these and other programs the real cost will be 13 Trillion not 1.2. We simply cant afford a government run healthcare plan.
Bassmarko 2 years ago 4
You say this will be another failure, but I believe it will function as intended.
The president, the congresspeople, and the senators will rain down the goodies on their friends, while ignoring the woes of the livestock.
erhnamdj 2 years ago 3

I see I made two mistakes. First, the one you pointed out. Second, I used the word "the" instead of the word "they."
I'll try and be more careful in the future.
newgtguy 2 years ago
No it means the state will take a chunk of money out your paychecks to pay for things you object to(subsidies, war, "regulation" that protects big business) or that people could handle just fine on their own(better even with prices, profits and losses gauging what people desire[roads, schools, police]).
Of course if you don't pay this money you are taken to the state sanctioned dungeons and rape rooms(oops I mean correctional institutions).
If you weren't 12 you'd know all this.

SCLARK2112 2 years ago 2
I LOL'ed at "Government fighting obesity" when it is actually government subsidies of High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) and punitive tariffs on sugar that has created the obesity epidemic in America in the first place.
Everywhere else in the world uses sugar, not HFCS, and they have way less obesity than the US. Another example of the unintended consequences of government intervention.
GREAT JOB on the video! 5 stars. 8-)

I know that you yourself are interested in a gradual and peaceful transition to a free society, but if the bill is bad enough do you think Americans will finally be convinced that the fault isn't freedom but violence?
Heck, I would think that the more openly authoritarian the bill the better it is for the freedom fighters.
LiberalofLiberty 2 years ago
If the hundred quadzillion dollars of unfunded liabilities doesn't do it, why would this? Does it hurt the people it hurts enough that they would be willing to stand against the people it benefits? Especially when it's their family, friends, etc? Remember, the slaves mostly keep themselves in check.
And when they won't any more, well, they have hundreds of thousands of men with guns and helicopters and tanks to quickly deal with that situation!
