Im from America, born and raised. I just got back to the States after spending 4 months straight in South Africa. I NEVER had one problem the whole time i was there. Im not sure what part SA u are describing in this video but i didnt see any of that. I spent the most time in Durban ,but also spent time in Joburg and Cape Town. I saw this video before going to SA and it really had me scared to go there. But I experienced NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. I did need to vigilant and careful but thats everywhere

Since I moved to England, I have had 3 cars stolen and my various houses have been broken into about 4 times. When I lived in South Africa, I had no cars stolen and no house break ins. Many of the whites in South Africa have been expatriated back to their country of origin, for example, England, German etc. Have you looked into doing this yourself?

This is in my country Holland, also in the USA; police is the result of the Roman Catholic Bortherhood of the Hermandad from Spain. If they succeed in stealing your guns, as they did over here in the Netherlands, the police arrest you if you defend yourself against criminals.
In South Africa the same thing is happening as happened in Holland sence the 1800's.
Move to Northern California(Danville) our doors are always unlocked and my garage door is always open. We live in a safe neighborhood, the cops are everywhere and my son who is 12 just got stopped by the police and was told to wear a helmet while riding his bike.
The reason SA was safe for white kids(myself included) in the 80s & before is because the cops & army were out in the townships brutally supressing any dissent to Apartheid. No country can escape it's past. Just like the troubles in Palestine is a result of WW2, the current troubles in SA are a legacy of her violent past.

Im from America, born and raised. I just got back to the States after spending 4 months straight in South Africa. I NEVER had one problem the whole time i was there. Im not sure what part SA u are describing in this video but i didnt see any of that. I spent the most time in Durban ,but also spent time in Joburg and Cape Town. I saw this video before going to SA and it really had me scared to go there. But I experienced NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. I did need to vigilant and careful but thats everywhere

America has 6 murders per 100,000 people, South Africa has 59. In Johannesburg there are 136 murders per 100,000 people, whereas St Louis, the most dangerous city in America, has 45 murders per 100,000 people. On a global scale, the USA is quite a safe country.

Since I moved to England, I have had 3 cars stolen and my various houses have been broken into about 4 times. When I lived in South Africa, I had no cars stolen and no house break ins. Whenever i go back i see how bad it gets every time.
Whenever i tell people in India or my friends from different countries how bad south Africa is theyre in total shock. Where you have to sit at restaurants with your handbag on your lap, etc. Im kinda glad i got out of south africa when we did, I got a better education over seas; and have more opportunities than i would have gotten in SA. Caught a few of them and held them hostage till police came. I moved to the US with my wife almost a year ago. As difficult as it was, it was the best decision I ever made. It has nothing to do with life as it use to be growing up in South Africa. It has to do with the fact that all people deserve to live free and get great service cause we pay for it! I am a boerseun who loved braai vleis en rugby. Now I love snowboarding and Icehockey. I just came back from vacation in SA, I frickin' LOVED it there!! But this guy is right about Canadians not being used to locking cars doors while driving, and having to watch your stuff all the time. I didn't care though, cause SA is so stunningly beautiful, and the people are so kind. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Please, Please, Please don't let the crime keep you from going to SA. Just be smart and have FUN!!I I believe that SA will find it's way and clean up the crime.

The reason SA was safe for white kids(myself included) in the 80s & before is because the cops & army were out in the townships brutally supressing any dissent to Apartheid.
