I would actually prefer voluntarily human testing OVER animal testing. Animals are not born into this world to be used for harmful chemical experiments that fail half the time. They are kept in cold damp cages and quiver each time someone walks past, in fear that they might be dragged away and forcibly tested on to see the horrid outcome.

They have no freedom, and yet they are not covered by normal Animal Abuse laws with the excuse that these purposes are for "Science".

They are not self aware, and have no idea that they can/will die eventually, but we humans do. And if we would not do these experiments that may kill the test subject, we will eventually die ourselves due to diseases we could not defend ourselves against because we could not experiment and find out why, etc. Its natural selection at a higher level if you want...

True but why not treat the animals, I dunno, BETTER. They keep them locked up in the worst conditions possible as if they are trash. Humans are live things, they have feelings and are well aware of whats good and whats not. Better and more efficient non-animal tests have been invented but some corporations still insist and prefer testing on animals. It's terribly unfair.
