Referring to the American nation as "the most remarkable nation ever founded in history, us", does not instil in these children a sense of humility and an understanding of their and America's place in the world. What an arrogant statement to say the least.

It's a pity that despite the noble intentions of Mr Wilensky, by "adapting the words", he is robbing the children of the eloquence and mastery of the english language that Thomas Paine expressed himself with so well. What's next, "adapting" the language into text message speak? Just teach the children the words as they are written. It's pretty plain english already. It's not like you're "adapting" the olde english of the Tyndale Bible of 1522.
