saw her in london other day with the hip. crowd wasnt into it at all. but her artistic integrity was shining through it I have alot respect for her, and im and 18 year old kid, she's not hard on the eyes either!

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, miss a chance to see her live. I've seen her only twice in Asheville but 2 of the best live shows I've EVER seen. I'm an old guy having seen Hendrix, Joplin, Doors,Zep, Stones, CCR, Eagles, Floyd, ad nauseam. The comparison is the emotional hit u get from Kathleen will wrench your gut like the best concert u have ever seen. The smaller the venue the kicker the a**. Did duo with Dan(Semisonic) I cried, she giggled,(in a good way).thank me later if this motivates u 2 go.

Always have loved Kathy's music and voice. Asking for Flowers is really something special. When thinking comparisons - if we must - I see and feel a lot of the great Jackson Browne in her work - music/lyrics. She is one talented lady!

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but the whole video just rubbed me the wrong way ... too self-serving. For example, comparing her to

Dylan and Neil Young? I really like KE, but please ...it's WAY too early in her career

to be drawing comparisons to such ultimate pop culture icons. And just the way she praised herself ... how great her writing and songs

turned out on this album ... it just turned me off ... too much like marketing.

Hmmm, I see your point, however it's not KE herself making the Dylan/Young comparisons, and the guy who does say it, IMO, is just stating how stylistically her music is like those, which it is on the whole. As for saying how great her songs are, at the end she just says she wants to be great. And even if she did say "My songs are great", well it would be true! Where I live, she's better than everything in the current Top 40 singles chart.

Yeah, I agree with DjimiPaij. I think she's just proud of what she and her band/producers were able to do with this record. I'd feel pretty damn proud and accomplished myself if I had even half the talent Kathleen has. And ditto about the Dylan/Young comparisons; I think her songwriting abilities are very similar to theirs at this still young-age of her career, so it seems fair to me to compare her to them in that sense. I only hope she sticks around nearly as long as they have.

I think the point has to do with songwriting/singing. Dylan and Neil do not have great voices- KE is a bit off key at times and I love it. At a time when few write well- she is great.You'll come around- she is that good!
