Lebron is way better if lebron did this all u kobe dickers would never stop talking about it but then again lebron would never do this HAHAHAHAHHAHHAAHAHHAAHAHAHA KOBE SUCKS!
fuckin serious? i swera people who are saying he has balls to even take these shot are fuckin ignorant and stupid!!! cuz if lebron would do the same shit, we would never hear the end of it by the same dipshits defending bryant... besides it was stupid for bryant to take the shots, they werent for him to take, specially if hes 18 and a rookie..
HAHA!! The first one is the funniest! No wait, the 2nd one! haha! No wait! HAHA! When he shout that 3rd it was hilarious! OMG! it's the 4th definitely the 4th!
That takes balls no matter what you say. To keep trying once you failed. Even shaq said he was the only one with the guts to take the shots. S/o to Kobe Bryant one of the best ever.
that take balls to take the last shot after 3 air balls. His self-confidence has no limits. That's why kobe become one of the greatest clutch player ever
wow this is so inspirational for me... 4 airballs to being the most clutch player in history... and can you imagine the pain he went through from everybody saying shit after those 4 airballs? and now he be tellin em to be quiet

Percentages don't mean much at all. If in the last minutes you don't have a couple of seconds to settle down for a good shot, then you will never shoot close to 50% in the cluch. Hell, I don't know if it is humanly possible to play over 1100 games and still shoot over 50% in the clutch. Mind you, I'm talking about shooting. Not lay-ups or dunks to boost that average. Even though he missed, it was the "tipping point" moment in Kobe's career. The best thing that ever happened to him were those misses. As his former teammate Shaquille O'Neal said, "[Kobe] was the only guy who had the guts at the time to take shots like that." It was the gift and the curse
Sad thing is Kobe learnt nothing from this, he is still hurting his team with his ball hogging ,poor shot selection in the clutch. The fact the media and mostly ESPN has fooled people into thinking kobe is a clutch player may well be the best propaganda of all time.Hell Phil Jackson said himself Kobe hurts his team with his ball hogging in clutch situations its a shame the lakers did'nt trade him a while back i fully believe they could have won rings without his sorry arse.
@nash3timemvp kobe doesnt ball hog, he has a decent amount of assists, and the lakers offense is based around him. kobe knows how to play 1 on 5 ball and the lakers address this by letting him make plays, its what the team wants. hes got the most tying or winning field goals in the last 5 seconds of final quarters in the nba. he might make some bad decisions, but alot of times giving the ball to him works. kobes put the team on his back, almost beating phoenix by himself in the playoffs before.
@anotherhappyasianboy He has one clutch pass to his name in his career!!and lol at the 1 in 5 comment that is called bad basketball and bad decision making. The guy forces up low percentage shots in clutch moments instead of giving the ball to open team mates. And giving the ball to Kobe in the clutch does not work he has a 31% CLUTCH SHOOTING PERCENTAGE OVER HIS CAREER.And the Lakers offense was based around the Triangle offense never around one guy learn something before you post
@nash3timemvp if your teammates were smush parker, kwame brown, etc., like in 2007, and you had kobes ability, would you pass the ball? or would you shoot a decent shot? almost 1 out of 3 clutch shots is more than many players can even say. and kobe is a huge part of the triangle offense, often scoring with it, and he often PASSES as well. you just basically said, "he ball hogs, but he uses the triangle offense, where he commonly passes." you contradicted yourself. learn before you post.
@anotherhappyasianboy 1 in 3 shots is more than many players? actually it is the league average so it is not.And what i was saying in the pressure situations and clutch moments Kobe has hero complex and goes away from what Phil Jackson taught them he said this himself.Kobe singled handed cost them the finals against the pistons why do you think Shaq left.
@nash3timemvp Even though he missed, it was the "tipping point" moment in Kobe's career. The best thing that ever happened to him were those misses. As his former teammate Shaquille O'Neal said, "[Kobe] was the only guy who had the guts at the time to take shots like that." It was the gift and the curse
I hate Kobe, but this is why he's had such a great career. At 18 years old as far as he was concerned he was the best player in the world, and he felt he should have been the one taking those shots so he kept shooting.
Magic Johnson saw Kobe the day after this game. Where? Playing in open gym at the UCLA field house. Magic said right then and there, he knew Kobe was special. One day after a huge playoff loss--during which he shot four straight airballs--Kobe was able to move on and forward. That's a good lesson in life, everyone: Even though we all will suffer great setbacks, let's learn to move on and forward.
.....KOBE AND LEBRONS Numbers in the Final 24 seconds in their career...
Kobe 36-115 31.3%
Lebron 23-69 33.3%
in the playoffs
Kobe 1-8 12.5%
Lebron 5-11 45.5% (Jordan was 9-18 50%)
The fact that people are even comparing kobe's clutch to lebrons is a insult. Kobe is not clutch and never has been. But iLL Will say he's had his moments.
for a commentator to say... "go practice and comeback next year" is a clear manifestation that is was all hype. a statement that would still stand till today! LOL he never was ready for the NBA at that age. lucky for him ShaQ was around to carry his ass for a three peat! LOL
I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
this is probably the reason why he's so clutch now. i mean 4 airballs is embarassing as hell, but he got motivated and put in work and now look where he is. pretty inspiring.
@MrBullsTalk I'm guessing you can't read. I am implying that this game helped give kobe the killer instinct he has now. He put in work and he's clutch now. Anyone who knows basketball knows that this could scar anyone for life. So shut up because you obviously weren't thinking when you commented.
@MrBullsTalk "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life...and that is why I succeed."
- Michael Jordan, yes this game is the reason why kobe has become so clutch
@trugangsta94 wow thanks, i never heard that quote before. I believe that Kobe and Jordan are different players though. One is a top 10, the other isn't.
@trugangsta94 I'm not haha. I don't even know what I said about this video. but anyways, my top 10 are 1. Jordan 2. Kareem Abdul Jabbar/ Lew Alcindor 3. Bill Russell 4. Magic Johnson 5. Larry Bird 6. Wilt Chamberlain 7. Tim Duncan 8. Jerry West 9. Oscar Robertson 10. Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon
@MrBullsTalk haha ohh ok. same list for me but bump out west and put in shaq in 10th/9th. love how you gave duncan the credit he deserves though haha, respect.
@MrBullsTalk quit being stuck in the past. that list is ridiculous. Moses Malone?! Kobe is clearly #2 all-time and only an ignorant old-head wouldnt recognize that
@kobeballer old head? haha I'm only 20. I just know the bast very well. When making a top ten, you don't just look at their prime. Kobe didn't even play his first 2 years. Won 1 MVP, to Moses Malones 3. LMAO at #2. I don't ,dislike the guy, but thats fucking ridiculous. Your just saying that cause you want someone you watched to be number 2. You just think since he's a shooting guard, like MJ, that their the same player. Kobe doesn't compare to the top 10 i just named.
@MrBullsTalk MVP is bad way to compare 2 players, the award is givin to the Most Valuable player, not the league best player, if the award was givin to the best player every year, kobe would have at least 3 (03,06,07) lebron would have 2 (08,10) wade would have 1 (09) rose would have 0, i dont what is ur top 10, but kobe should be in it, maybe if listed ur top 10 we could have debate.
@trugangsta94 Jordan Wilt Bird Magic Kareem Duncan Shaq Hakeem Russell It's arguable that he's in the top 10, but it certainly isn't a joke to say a guy like Rick Barry, Jerry West, or Moses Malone pushes him out of the top1 0.
What this video says: When Kobe was a rookie he had the fearlessness required that would sculpt him into becoming the most feared clutch player in the NBA, and possibly of all time.
@imsljr420 Wait don't tell me, because his shooting percentages aren't as high as you think they should be right? lmfao that's retarded. So because Carmelo Anthony shoots a higher percentage at in that criteria than Kobe, you think he's more clutch?
That rookie had the guts to bury a clutch shot but just couldn't do it. Four times, full of air. Well, after 15 seasons... You go figure what happened.
dude i would kill myself if that happened to me. as much as i am a lebron fan, i gotta give kobe cred for taking those shots shit i would not ever shoot another shot ever again if i was him
you go from 4th to the 8th? make up your choice...everyone compares Kobe to Jordan not just Laker fans theres a reason for that. Kobe is the best overall package, he has instinct.
@arthurkirakosyan7 If anything, Magic Johnson should be constantly compared to Michael Jordan, NOT Kobe. since Magic played every position, won his 1st title in his 1st season, is the youngest finals MVP & went to the finals 9 times in 12 years. even though he came away with 5 titles, but it is still better than 50% winning accuracy. and no I'm not going specifically from 4th to 8th. my point is that Kobe is NO better than 4th of the all time greatest players. however, I put him at 7 as of now.
@frusionnn Don't you think theres a reason they compare Kobe instead? Your statement doesn't make sense. Kobe has done things where no other nba player has done, he can take over a game, he can handle pressure, he is the best overall package.
@arthurkirakosyan7 how does my statement not make sense? it makes every sense. why should Kobe be compared to Michael more than the GREATEST Laker of all time? that doesn't make sense. okay stop with the whole ''Kobe has done things where no other NBA player has done'' along with him being the best overall. give me a BREAK...
@frusionnn How does what you say make sense? From the beginning people knew kobe would be compared to him. Calling him the next Michael Jordan and thats what happened. Dude wtf are you saying am i wrong? why do you get to simply ignore it and say "stop with the whole..."
@AutomatikZ187 i love how kobe has five rings, 2 finals mvps, 9 all nba first teams, 2 all nba second teams, 2 all nba third teams, 9, all nba first team defenses(tied for first alltime), 2 all nba second teams, 13 allstars 27868 career points and is 3rd alltime in playoff points with 5280. only player in history to score 600 points in 3 consecutive years in the playoffs, player of the decade. yeah those airballs seem like a thing of the past
As far as the mavs go, do u really thnk they'll drain another 50+ 3's in one playoff series??..snap back into reality bro it ain't gonna happen..magic Johnson and the lakers got swept in the 1st round afta winning a title and they didn't blow up the lakers then
Kobe is the most inefficient scorer of all time??..who r u watching man, Larry Hughes??..all ur hatin isn't gonna change the fact that he's the greatest laker of all time and has a chance at being the 2nd greatest goat n possibly the first!!
@onmyshyt247 He's not the greatest Laker of all time and unless he all of a sudden becomes a better player than he was in his prime and plays another 15 years, he has no chance of becoming the first or second greatest player ever.
@onmyshyt247 first off, ROFL @ Kobe being the greatest Laker of all time. Magic Johnson cemented his legacy as the greatest Laker of all time in '91. Kobe is not yet even a top 3 Laker of all time after 15 seasons. Magic, Jabbar & West are the top 3 Lakers' of all time. at BEST Kobe can end up as the 3rd greatest Laker of all time. second, LMAO @ Kobe having a chance to become the 2nd greatest player ever. he can end up as the 4th greatest player of all time at BEST. behind Jordan, Jabbar, Wilt.
@arthurkirakosyan7 how am I a moron? you're the one who doesn't have enough knowledge to believe that Kobe is NOT better than Jabbar & Wilt. as of right now (9-6-11), Kobe Bryant is the 8th if not 7th greatest player of all time at best. and I'm showing some sympathy putting him @ #7. 1. Jordan 2. Jabbar 3. Wilt 4. Magic 5. Bird 6. West 7. MAYBE Kobe
This is the difference between kobe and the other players. Even as a young player he wasn't scared of the pressure. He knows its on him for them to win he was young and not the kobe that we know now. However you could already see the Killer instinct developing. Alot of players will shy away and be scared to even take the shot. Kobe, as a young one, wasn't.
You guys are talking bullshits. Even Shaquile later lauded that only Kobe had a strong gut to do so. Because it was such a huge charge for a player to take a clutch shot, Del Harris, Lakers coach at the time, asked players "Who wanna take it?" Nobody volunteered but Kobe. Yes, Kobe failed, and he made so many airballs in this game. But so what? He is Mr.81. He Learned, and IMPROVED himself.
Kobe is nothing without a big man who grabs all his misses. When he had shaq they won(evidence by shaqs 3 finals mvps), sucked when he left and noone was there to grab the 58% of shots he missed, and won when pau and bynum were there (kobe shot 6-24 in the seventh game and the only reason they won was cause bynum and gasol completly dominated the boards especially in game seven)
@leentvaar25 jordan 5-19 kobe 6-24 ray allen 2-13 it happens to everybody and kobe ended up with 23 points and 15 rebounds so dont say gasol and bynum dominated the boards.... also shaq may have won the finals mvp but kobe was still a big factor... your telling me jason kidd, shawn marion, jason terry, etc didnt do shit this years finals cause they didnt win finals mvp? exactly kobe got carried for one championchip not 3
@1Undertaker14 Kobe had much better teammates then dirk ever did and everyone was sayin that the lakers had 4 of the 5 best players in the series when they played in the playoffs(kobe, gasol, bynum and odom) and look where it got them. even with these supposedly dominate teammates he still couldnt get past what was basically dirk, terry, and jj barera. Jordan would never of let his team get blown out in a sweep like kobe did in game 4 this year
@leentvaar25 hey kobe sucks now...gasol was dead, bynum wasnt healthy but still played good so no excuse for him and ever since odom married kloe he hasnt been playing at his full potential... i agree that kobe had better help than dirk and failed and btw jordan is the goat of course hes not gona get blown out... he did get swept once so
@bergurking2 He got 3 rings with shaq, when shaq was the best player in the NBA, and one was even rigged (2002). he got the other two with the team with the HIGHEST PAYROLL in the NBA. the Lakers buy championships. he couldn't even get to the finals without Pau.
@Aleeeeeeeeeeeexxxx Even John Stockton or Magic Johnson cannot get to the finals with a guy like KWAME BROWN. Remember, Luke Walton and Kwame Brown, and Smush Parker was in the starting lineup at the time. You cannot win a championship with guys like that. Yes, Kobe got 3 rings with Shaq, two with Gasol. So what? are you gonna say that MJ couldn't even get to the finals without a great player like Pippen? Well, I am sure you will.
The fact that Kobe was willing to take the last shots in a playoff game at the age of 18 shows that he was ready to be a star at a young age,, we all know these air balls today are clutch shots for kobe.
MAN kobe redemmed himself so big!!! wht doesnt kill u makes u stronger!! love kobe biggest legend in nba history!!! he learned frm his mistakes n proved haters wrong later on!!!!
I asked an older guy I know, about what he thought about Kobe when he took and missed these shots. He responded, when I saw Kobe airball all 4, he thought in his mind " I love this kid, he has confidence at his young age playing with pros. He's going to be a superstar." And he's right
lakers fan since 94 man i remember this like it was yesterday. All my friends - mostly bulls fans - laughed at me cuz i ran my mouth all season long about how good kobe is gonna be. Thnx for putting this up.
At least he had the balls to shoot it. Unlike lebron in the all star game

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

hey he was 18, never got much playing time, heck how many of all these haters would say they would take those shots
rockfan96channel 4 months ago
this is probably the reason why he's so clutch now. i mean 4 airballs is embarassing as hell, but he got motivated and put in work and now look where he is. pretty inspiring.
seymaiuto45 4 months ago 31
@seymaiuto45 Yeah. This one made the difference. This one game with the reason why Kobe plays the way he does.
Your dumb
MrBullsTalk 3 months ago
@MrBullsTalk I'm guessing you can't read. I am implying that this game helped give kobe the killer instinct he has now. He put in work and he's clutch now. Anyone who knows basketball knows that this could scar anyone for life. So shut up because you obviously weren't thinking when you commented.
AND FYI it's "you're" not "your" :)

@MrBullsTalk quit being stuck in the past. that list is ridiculous. Moses Malone?! Kobe is clearly #2 all-time and only an ignorant old-head wouldnt recognize that
kobeballer 2 months ago
@kobeballer old head? haha I'm only 20. I just know the bast very well. When making a top ten, you don't just look at their prime. Kobe didn't even play his first 2 years. Won 1 MVP, to Moses Malones 3. LMAO at #2. I don't ,dislike the guy, but thats fucking ridiculous. Your just saying that cause you want someone you watched to be number 2. You just think since he's a shooting guard, like MJ, that their the same player. Kobe doesn't compare to the top 10 i just named.
MrBullsTalk 2 months ago
@MrBullsTalk MVP is bad way to compare 2 players, the award is givin to the Most Valuable player, not the league best player, if the award was givin to the best player every year, kobe would have at least 3 (03,06,07) lebron would have 2 (08,10) wade would have 1 (09) rose would have 0, i dont what is ur top 10, but kobe should be in it, maybe if listed ur top 10 we could have debate.

you go from 4th to the 8th? make up your choice...everyone compares Kobe to Jordan not just Laker fans theres a reason for that. Kobe is the best overall package, he has instinct.
arthurkirakosyan7 5 months ago
@arthurkirakosyan7 If anything, Magic Johnson should be constantly compared to Michael Jordan, NOT Kobe. since Magic played every position, won his 1st title in his 1st season, is the youngest finals MVP & went to the finals 9 times in 12 years. even though he came away with 5 titles, but it is still better than 50% winning accuracy. and no I'm not going specifically from 4th to 8th. my point is that Kobe is NO better than 4th of the all time greatest players. however, I put him at 7 as of now.
frusionnn 5 months ago
@frusionnn Don't you think theres a reason they compare Kobe instead? Your statement doesn't make sense. Kobe has done things where no other nba player has done, he can take over a game, he can handle pressure, he is the best overall package.
arthurkirakosyan7 5 months ago
@arthurkirakosyan7 how does my statement not make sense? it makes every sense. why should Kobe be compared to Michael more than the GREATEST Laker of all time? that doesn't make sense. okay stop with the whole ''Kobe has done things where no other NBA player has done'' along with him being the best overall. give me a BREAK...
frusionnn 5 months ago
@frusionnn How does what you say make sense? From the beginning people knew kobe would be compared to him. Calling him the next Michael Jordan and thats what happened. Dude wtf are you saying am i wrong? why do you get to simply ignore it and say "stop with the whole..."

As far as the mavs go, do u really thnk they'll drain another 50+ 3's in one playoff series??..snap back into reality bro it ain't gonna happen..magic Johnson and the lakers got swept in the 1st round afta winning a title and they didn't blow up the lakers then
onmyshyt247 6 months ago
Kobe is the most inefficient scorer of all time??..who r u watching man, Larry Hughes??..all ur hatin isn't gonna change the fact that he's the greatest laker of all time and has a chance at being the 2nd greatest goat n possibly the first!!
onmyshyt247 6 months ago
@onmyshyt247 He's not the greatest Laker of all time and unless he all of a sudden becomes a better player than he was in his prime and plays another 15 years, he has no chance of becoming the first or second greatest player ever.
Boff122 5 months ago
@onmyshyt247 first off, ROFL @ Kobe being the greatest Laker of all time. Magic Johnson cemented his legacy as the greatest Laker of all time in '91. Kobe is not yet even a top 3 Laker of all time after 15 seasons. Magic, Jabbar & West are the top 3 Lakers' of all time. at BEST Kobe can end up as the 3rd greatest Laker of all time. second, LMAO @ Kobe having a chance to become the 2nd greatest player ever. he can end up as the 4th greatest player of all time at BEST. behind Jordan, Jabbar, Wilt.
frusionnn 5 months ago
@frusionnn You're just another Kobe hater, your saying Wilt and jabbar are better? You're a moron.
arthurkirakosyan7 5 months ago
@arthurkirakosyan7 how am I a moron? you're the one who doesn't have enough knowledge to believe that Kobe is NOT better than Jabbar & Wilt. as of right now (9-6-11), Kobe Bryant is the 8th if not 7th greatest player of all time at best. and I'm showing some sympathy putting him @ #7. 1. Jordan 2. Jabbar 3. Wilt 4. Magic 5. Bird 6. West 7. MAYBE Kobe

meet12345 6 months ago

Teddy2M 7 months ago
Kobe is nothing without a big man who grabs all his misses. When he had shaq they won(evidence by shaqs 3 finals mvps), sucked when he left and noone was there to grab the 58% of shots he missed, and won when pau and bynum were there (kobe shot 6-24 in the seventh game and the only reason they won was cause bynum and gasol completly dominated the boards especially in game seven)
leentvaar25 7 months ago
@leentvaar25 jordan 5-19 kobe 6-24 ray allen 2-13 it happens to everybody and kobe ended up with 23 points and 15 rebounds so dont say gasol and bynum dominated the boards.... also shaq may have won the finals mvp but kobe was still a big factor... your telling me jason kidd, shawn marion, jason terry, etc didnt do shit this years finals cause they didnt win finals mvp? exactly kobe got carried for one championchip not 3
1Undertaker14 6 months ago
@1Undertaker14 Kobe had much better teammates then dirk ever did and everyone was sayin that the lakers had 4 of the 5 best players in the series when they played in the playoffs(kobe, gasol, bynum and odom) and look where it got them. even with these supposedly dominate teammates he still couldnt get past what was basically dirk, terry, and jj barera. Jordan would never of let his team get blown out in a sweep like kobe did in game 4 this year
leentvaar25 6 months ago
@leentvaar25 hey kobe sucks now...gasol was dead, bynum wasnt healthy but still played good so no excuse for him and ever since odom married kloe he hasnt been playing at his full potential... i agree that kobe had better help than dirk and failed and btw jordan is the goat of course hes not gona get blown out... he did get swept once so

"kobe got carried for one championchip not 3"
Oh really?!! Lets see then..
% of LA's pts scored in the Finals
2000: Shaq 38% -- kobe 14%
2001: Shaq 33% -- kobe 23%
2002: Shaq 36% -- kobe 24%
2004: Shaq 26% -- kobe 27% <--Shaq was injured..notice they lost
blackadam06 4 months ago
@1Undertaker14
Kobe vs his teammates in career Finals FG%
Kobe: 333-808 (41%) < his teammates: 1041-2161 (48%)
Care to explain all of this?
Kobe for his career is:
37-97 (38%) in Game 7's
38-108 (35%) in 5 title clinching games
333-808 (41%) in finals fg%
Just looking at the 2010 finals ALONE, he was a COMBINED 11-36 (30%) in ALL of the 4th qtrs & was 6-24 (25%) in Game 7.
Sorry, but kobe's CONSISTENTLY been "carried" in big games. No one shoots 40% or LOWER in 5 finals & hasn't been LOL!!

@bergurking2 He got 3 rings with shaq, when shaq was the best player in the NBA, and one was even rigged (2002). he got the other two with the team with the HIGHEST PAYROLL in the NBA. the Lakers buy championships. he couldn't even get to the finals without Pau.
Aleeeeeeeeeeeexxxx 7 months ago
@Aleeeeeeeeeeeexxxx Even John Stockton or Magic Johnson cannot get to the finals with a guy like KWAME BROWN. Remember, Luke Walton and Kwame Brown, and Smush Parker was in the starting lineup at the time. You cannot win a championship with guys like that. Yes, Kobe got 3 rings with Shaq, two with Gasol. So what? are you gonna say that MJ couldn't even get to the finals without a great player like Pippen? Well, I am sure you will.
