  • I've always loved Howlin Wolf!

  • This is a totaly live performance...it was taped in europe...on an empty tv stage...hence the great echo and reverb ;-) the DVD's are these and other performances are commercially available...THANK GOD! since they were sitting around in a vault for over 40 years!

  • Just a wonderful singer, all soul.

  • I'm sorry it's overdubbed, but still nice to see.

  • lol @d820m 6foot 6 inches and 300 pounds he was a huge man

  • It's gotta be live...somehow I don't think the Wolf would have taken kindly to someone asking him to lip synch it

  • Was this really live with the reverb and presence? Seems more studio than live....maybe just me...

  • @designermite no, it's live alright, no fancy shit just great musicians and great acoustics....

  • Absolutely wonderful.

  • who was the woman in the introduction

  • Mae Mercer.

  • Maybe I am under the wrong impression, but she looked REALLY nervous.

I suppose it was from being in the presence of Wolf.

  • @PinkOld yeah.....the Wolf just had a look that just scared the piss out of eveyone

  • @spareco

I believe her name is Mae Mercer. She has a great video on youtube from this same series, called "Careless Love". Thank God we can still see these great artists at their peak.

  • Damn, why's the camera focused on Wolf when Hubert's soloing?

  • Interesting that Wolf uses a flat pick on this song when he FORBADE Hubert from using one ever!
