@thirdeaglebooks What have I done to offend him, though? I've never hurt anybody badly or committed any heinous crime. It seems deeply unfair that God, who supposedly loves everyone, would leave an innocent person behind without protection, or a "fox hole" as you say. His unconditional love for all mankind seems to me to be very conditional here. What if an atheist had (and many have) done a great service to mankind? Would he or she also be left behind?

@Liolar43 You cannot go to Heaven unprepared. It's not simply a matter of "I'm here, now I'm there". Sin corrupted human nature, and all of the material creation. You cannot stand in God presence, because you would be annihilated. That is why you need to learn about Him, learn to love Him, and prepare your body and your soul through the sacraments and your good deeds. Good deeds by themselves are irrelevant without the Church to sanctify you through them, with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Many Catholics will be "left behind", not because they are unworthy, but because they are well equipped to fight the Antichrist (Rev. 12:17). Obviously the "seed of the woman" are left behind. Hello Mr. Tapley, thank you for the second half of this series. I also am a Catholic, a practicing Roman Catholic who believes in the power of the Scapular and the Rosary. My wife and I are preparing for very hard times with medical and communications items. My most recent purchase was a radiation detector, protective clothing to follow. @ljhanna777 The prophet is teaching two things: first, that the prophecy is for the end times, hence the expression 12 times 12,000. Second, that only a remnant will be saved. Thus, 144,000 is an approximate yet revealing number.
Protected Catholics, Converted Jews, and Raptured Protestants means that all these who survive will be Catholic. Martyrs qualify too. The false prophet - antipope - will move the "anti-Vatican" to Jerusalem as you mentioned. Rev 17:14 says in Douay Rheims "called, and elect, and faithful." That applies to all Catholics, whether converts or not. Everyone (many) are called, few are chosen (Matt 22:14), and the chosen are faithful, so this applies to all full Christians.

You cannot stand in God presence, because you would be annihilated. This makes sense somewhat, after all only Catholics and Orthodox are fed with the bread of life, the bread of Angels, only they will have the strength to endure, protestants would succumb and falter in those days, so in his mercy God takes them, maybe. I don't get how you take the other end of heaven and translate that into Protestants and the other end as martyrs, that extrapolation doesn't make sense to me.

Totally agree that we shouldn't be deceived by false prophets. But how to identify the false ones? For example, if some internet prophet predicted WWIII in 2010 and it didn't happen can we assume he's a false prophet?

As for Libya, this conflict doesn't seem to be connected in any way with North Korea's Attacks on South Korea. As for Egypt, I am completely ignorant of any military conflicts in Egypt. In any case, my point was its hard to establish that WW3 started last November only because N. Korea attacked S. Korea. Its still possible you're correct though.

Hello Mr. Tapley, thank you for the second half of this series. I also am a Catholic, a practicing Roman Catholic who believes in the power of the Scapular and the Rosary. My wife and I are preparing for very hard times with medical and communications items. My most recent purchase was a radiation detector, protective clothing to follow. I believe what you say about people moving out into the "desert." I do believe God and I believe His Son and I believe I will be there to fight on the last day.

Have you ever considered that the different writers of these books, and they were different writers and not those under whose names the compilations were published, described things the way they knew them? Trumpets or horns were used to communicate in battle: every army needed them. Either God pulls your leg when he's talking to you or you're terribly mislead. The true gospels are available almost everywhere in the world via the internet.
Very few populated areas have not had a gospel shared with them.
Why be so focused on dates? Return to God and keep His commandments. Love your neighbor as yourself.
And be prepared to "come out of her my people" (Babylon).

@ljhanna777 The prophet is teaching two things: first, that the prophecy is for the end times, hence the expression 12 times 12,000. Second, that only a remnant will be saved. Thus, 144,000 is an approximate yet revealing number.

Protected Catholics, Converted Jews, and Raptured Protestants means that all these who survive will be Catholic. Martyrs qualify too. The false prophet - antipope - will move the "anti-Vatican" to Jerusalem as you mentioned. Rev 17:14 says in Douay Rheims "called, and elect, and faithful." That applies to all Catholics, whether converts or not. Everyone (many) are called, few are chosen (Matt 22:14), and the chosen are faithful, so this applies to all full Christians.
