  • WOW.. really.. i loved this!

  • Seems like the Norwegian TV studio sound engineers know something about the sound engineering.

  • Unlike North American, Norwegians have respect. :)

  • Um...yeah...thanks for the love from the NA to you. Everyone knows the RESPECTFUL and mature thing thing to do is insult an entire country and generalize by saying they're a certain way....oh....wait...

  • @TheFiascoDog well i'm from canada myself and i'm not saying anything bad per say about any country in particular. however, the sound engineers in their country and a few others like them (sweden for example) have alot more respect for the ART of sound engineering than let's say ummm all of north america haha.

  • and obviously you know this because you have conversed with and gotten to know thousands of sound engineers. other wise you'd know that what you perceive as RESPECT is just a DIFFERENT TASTE IN MUSIC. what i'm hearing from you is "its disrespectful to produce music other than what i like" but the most insulting part of anything i've heard you say is in the immaturity of your words. from what i know now, if you had to represent your country you would be seen as a joke to world.

  • @TheFiascoDog 1) i'm sorry but do you hunt down people and say bad things about them because it makes you feel good about yourself? it appears so. i think there is a miscommunication. respect for the art of sound engineering is present in this video if you understand the art of sound enginieering. if you look at mtv music awards and other "prestigious" awards shows (canada included by the way) you'll note that there are alot of mistakes, miscues, and bad audio to television mixes.

  • @TheFiascoDog 2) this was not meant to be a "patriotic" battle. you obviously have some issues in that area that you will need to work on. my intent prior to you commenting was simply to state that most european countries pay more attention to detail than north america. what's wrong with me saying that? do you have a problem with your country being inferior to another country in regards to sound engineering? if so i apologize for giving my opinion on the matter.

  • @TheFiascoDog 3) i love jaga jazzist and the community that surrounds them, i am simply showing my support for them.

  • Simply the best!

  • saw the concert last night. simply great. the sound could have been better but still.. one of the best shows I've ever seen.. too bad they sold out all the t-shirts :E

  • Then we were on the same concert. :-)

  • so freaking amazing...

  • this band is so fucking creative

  • Absolutely fantastic.Kjempebra.

  • Why is everyone naming so many other artists? could it be that the jaga jazzist simply sound like the jaga jazzists? I think so...enough nonesense!

  • I like to see other bands named as "bands you might like if you think Jaga Jazzists just sound like Jaga Jazzists but want more".

  • this is pretty fuckin incredible!

  • @imyouwithaboat Misteur Valaire is the most similar I know, except Zappa, for the big band energy. It's a 9 persons band from Sherbrooke, QC, with a nice electro-pop sound. Here in Quebec it's been a hit all summer with the song «ave mucho», but there are many other more interesting traks, like «sweet Charlemagne», «Monster Donte» or «Dan Dan». MV.MU

  • @imyouwithaboat , Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Dillinger Escape Plan, Explosions in the sky, Mike Patton, Frank Zappa, Queens of the Stone Age, and many more:).

  • Epic.......... America is ready for Jaga.

  • @EmptySpaceOrchestra only if someone shot all three Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus, and Justin Beiber, and Ke$ha, etc etc etc.

  • Don't let a music site play god.

Just listen and if you like ,enjoy.

  • high five! =)

  • Pitchfork are songwriter fans.

AS soon as a band has a semblence of musicianship, they bag em a bit like all those image music sites magazines.

  • I don't even think they are "songwriter" fans. I think they're fans of concepts and aesthetics. I definitely agree that once musicianship enters the picture they get scared. They said that the "modulations" on One Armed Bandit were "boring"....

  • hahah Mathias on the contrabass :D

  • The drummer get THE style :P

  • Jaga Jazzist is the reason to start a band or stop playing if you already play in one. Just perfect!

p.s. pitchfork just doesn't get them...

  • Well they gave a 6.9 to One-Armed, if I'm not wrong, it could have been worse! I've seen many reviews much more terrible than this one on that site..like 1.3 or things like that. I really don't understand their rating system btw, it makes no sense to me :)

    Long live Jaga Jazzist.

  • @nordestino Pitchfork doesn't get any good band

  • @nordestino Pitchfork are totally up the Animal Collective's arse and review anything they do as if it's the most important thing since sliced bread. While I do like Animal Collective, Jaga Jazzist can write better songs.

  • @nordestino man fuck pitchfork, its a group of hipsters who have never played in a band in their life

  • OMG, is it only my impression, or Sepultuba, as Line is sometimes called, lost weight quite drastically?

  • They are a GREAT band. Thanks for posting. The states need the Jaga Jazzist here and touring!
