great stuff! (font was a little hard to read) - don't you love it when the right wing morons come whine on youtube? so cute... :p

  • haha yeah i think opinionated people are awesome b/c they foster debate and then we can see who's really on the side of truth.

yeah i'm gonna make a page asap! :-) thnx 4 the comment.

  • Hey, awesome movie. You really captured the uniqueness of the conference!

  • thnx, i wish i could've gotten more but considering i only used my cellphone camera to make this, i guess i got lucky, huh?

  • Man, life has got to be tough with the US winning in Iraq and bringing the country together. Talk about losers.

  • oh yeah definitely. democracy is definitely on the march when private companies make billions, turkey joins the fray, and veterans get tossed aside by the "decider".

  • 26 million Iraqis free to choose thier destiny, now run by the majority who are no longer oppressed and the Kurds happy with thier relative autonomy in the north. The US with allies, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jorden, UAE, etc now on Syria and Irans border. The upheaval is not over, but I believe it will lead to a safer world. And you just hate Bush. Thats fine with me.

  • haha my friend, bush is not the issue here. what is the issue is how the U.S. "upheaval" has led to the deaths of thousands. furthermore, freedom can never be brought by the barrel of the gun. the iraqi people must run their own country b/c they are as intelligent and flawed as any other human being on this planet.

  • I wasn't for the invasion, but having said that we live in a real world and must live with what is . Of the 26,540 Iraqis who died violently during the last year of war 536 were due to coalition troops, the previous year 14,910 died, 370 due to coalition forces. What would you have the world do. Hold "Bush and Cheny and Halliburtin" up for high crimes and hang them all?

  • The Iraqis are running thier own government and thier Army is standing up. Would you prefer the genocide that would occur if we pulled out immediately. I don't want the blood of those we took responsibility for on my hands. Its kind of moot anyway since we are winning and the Iraqis will have thier chance.

  • Why do I feel, you think that they should have been allowed to commit genocide?

  • why do you assume genocide would occur? the shia, sunni, and kurdish people of iraq were all originally nationalist arabs that brought the ba'ath party of saddam hussein to power. the overwhelming majority of iraqis would like the u.s. to withdraw and would like a unified iraq. did u see how strongly they reacted to the U.S. Senate's plan to partition the nation?

  • LOL. I've seen the Iraqis react to several plans our senators have come up with. Usually its "this isn't your country and keep your mouth shut about issues you know nothing about." Actually I think the Iraqis are more than able to govern themselves. I believe most Iraqis understand the need for US troops to stay and to provide security. Sorry, not on subject.

  • lol we agree on something. but slightly off topic but cool nonetheless.

  • interesting that you assume that genocide would occur. what is even more interesting is how u would not like that blood on your hands but we have already watched sectarian death squads tear the nation apart in 2005 & 2006. Furthermore, who are we winning the war against? the al-qaeda in iraq that didn't exist until the invasion? or the legitimate iraqi resistance networks that are fighting our occupation?

  • Genocide was occurring with Sadr and his militia slaughtering thousands of innocent Sunnis while Al Quida backed Sunni terrorists where trying to gain control. Left on its own the Sunnis would have been wiped out entirely and the Iraqi (Shia) government wasn't really interested in stopping it. We have beaten Al Quida, tamed the Sunni terrorists, stopped Sadr and much of the Iranian sponsored terror.

  • hmm now that'd be the trial of the century wouldn't it?

i think the u.s.a. should support the iraqi people by immediately withdrawing and letting them deal with the hard decisions that lie ahead. furthermore, we ought to reinvest that money in the 1.5 million u.s. veterans that have fought in Iraq and will be needing assistance. war ought not be our first and only priority.

  • We should support the Iraqi people by assisting them in the transition from violence to a peaceful country. We should help them rebuild thier country and help promote a true democracy in the mideast. We should put a US military base smack dab in the middle of the country to warn those who would interfer in Iraqs business as well as promote our own issues. We paid for it.

  • As for the savings, I will take cash, or checks made out to my bank account. The veteran issue is real and an important issue, but blown so far out of proportion as to be ridiculas. (I have a 40% disability and am familiar with the subject)

  • and i wouldn't disagree with you on something that i'm not fully aware of. i would just like to make sure the vets get what they have sacrificed for. a new g.i. bill wouldn't be that bad either :)

  • I honestly think the vets want a win. That is what they sacrificed for. And sorry for sounding so pompous on the vet issue. And yes returning vets need resources available for mental as well as phsyical wounds. But think of all those in WWII, Korea and Vietnam who didn't have as much available as we have today. The world didn't come to an end.

  • This is awesome!!! And so was the CAN conference. Thanks for making this, Felix!

  • Thanks lol this is just my way of saying thank you to the CAN conference for being a once-in-a-lifetime event in my life. It was f**king awesome & the tide HAS begun to turn.
