Not all Japanese have double eyelids though, but it is more common then koreans. My wife is half Korean but she doesn't have double eyelids. Koreans are closer to Mongol features, while Japanese share those of southeast asians so their features are like a mixture of mongol & thai, indian, indonesian.

As a 100% Japanese-American (yonsei), I think there's more genetic race admixture in Japanese than in Koreans. Genetically, Japanese ARE part-Korean, too. But most Koreans tend to have the single-lidded, smaller eyes. Japanese have that type in abundance, too, but there are quite a few (like myself) who have rounder, deeper-set, double-lidded eyes. I always assume the "single-lidders" to be smarter, more capable, more successful, because they have more to prove--esp. living in the West.
