We are all part of the universe, made from startdust. We are in a sense the brains of the universe since now the universe is able to ponder its own existance. Maybe technology is destined to reachout into outerspace, and become selfaware. Ever expanding in size, directly using the energy of its local stars, connecting with other stars and technology systems. Until the whole universe eventually becomes like a giant allknowing brain. And then it may even start communicating with other universes
@jamyholland . Interesting comment. Especially if one removes the age old idea that we and technology are somehow separated from the rest of nature. Almost makes me wonder if the universe knew us before we knew it.
Earthlife did just fine without intelligence for many millions of years and when nature 'invented' intelligence it just messed up the balance of the ecosystems and the climate.
However on the other side this maybe just like a transitional fase between biological and technological evolution.
okay then that means that higher forms of intelligent life like us don't need mechansims like poison fangs or acid for blood we use intellect so if the rest of the universe has to have aliens that need physical defenses like these then they are not as smart as us unless they don't have any of these but also use there intellect then we may be out of luck because we really are not that smart.....

Imo there has to be some other planet in some other galaxy that has SOMETHING living, the chances are so slim that there isnt.
