I've been, "studying" Grey Fox for a long time. No matter what, he remains a legend in my heart. This badass is so much better then Raiden. Have you seen the ad for MGS: Revengeance? @Krucades Grey Fox could've taken on the Gekko if thats what your asking. But he got taken down by Liquid in Rex because Liquid was a soldier on the same level as Snake driving a giant Mech. And Vamp was only the way he was because of the nanomachines. He woulda been killed long before MGS4 if he hadnt basically had wolverines healing factor.
Actually Fox could take down vamp, he was a tough foe against Big Boss even without being a cyborg. Against Solid, he was fooling around he wanted to die. Raiden took down Mass Produced Rays, tiny versions of MG ray that were not as powerful. Fox fought a fully armored and ready Metal Gear Rex but even before he got there he fought masses of soldiers and Solid Snake.
With all of that, Fox cut a man in half... I think he can do that to Vamp he cant regenerate that.

Well after what I have heard and from my own oppinion from what I have seen and read:
Gray Fox rebuilt after what happened in Zansibar, he had to live with all the pain he went through, the memories, insanity, and im sure he has a lot of pain in that suit as well, it drives him mad, he just want everything to end, he wants to restm he wants no more pain, banging hes head is hes insanity driving him as well as raging him to sacrifice himself and hes life to weaken --->
Metal Gear, he knows it suicide, but as I stated before he just wants the pain to go away and rest in piece. Thats what I think after all that I have read, and heard and seen :)

There is no comparison between Fox, and Raiden.
Fox was an all around better Ninja.
He was more durable to the whole battlefield.
Suited him better than it did Raiden.
Also, Raiden had fake blood, while Fox didn't.

And you have to remember, that he had a whole exoskeleton, where is Raiden does not. Gray fox had stealth technology as well.
The only reason that solid snake beat him was because GF wanted to feel pain and feel more alive.
