@papan1990 I've seen the Sky HD footage and it ain't any better. I think this is not Crystal palace match but the replay, UP NORTH, were Spurs won 4-1. I have two photos of the 1900 final and the 1901 final taken from the same place. In the 1900 final you can see the walkways but in the 1901 final it is just a sea of faces. Over 110,000 watched the match and at that time the largest crowd ever to watch a football match.
"I don't care how much they charge me, as long as they don't charge me too much for dinner." First goalkeeper of Chelsea FC in 1905. Legendary figure.
He then moved to Chelsea for a fee of £50 and was made club captain. Foulke, by now was remarkably temperamental. If he thought his defenders were not trying hard enough, he would walk off the field. Opposing forwards who incurred his displeasure would be picked up and thrown bodily into his goal. He was however a great crowd puller, and Chelsea decided to exploit this.
Quality news report from two footballing centuries ago found on wikipedia: At the end of the first match in the 1902 Cup Final Foulke protested to the officials that Southampton's equalizing goal should not have been allowed. Foulke left his dressing room unclothed and pursued the referee, Tom Kirkham, who took refuge in a broom cupboard. Foulke had to be stopped by a group of F.A. officials from wrenching the cupboard door from its hinges to reach the hapless referee.
People often take the piss now when I say I'm a Spurs fan and have been for almost forty years. Screw 'em: only non-league team top win the Cup, First to do the double in the 20th Century when it was considered virtually impossible, first to bring home a European trophy by not only beating but pulverising the previous year's winners, thus again showing what was possible and inspiring every British success in Europe thereafter. And so I say, Come on you Spurs!
@madmax8903 Absolutly right & God is a Spurs fan as he said its not the volume of victuals u gain but how u gain them. When Spurs did the double in 1960/61 the clubs were more even in income so little clubs like Burnley, Leicester, Ipswich & the great Wolves side of the late 50's flourished & out competed the Chelskis of this world. When Arsenal did the Double ten years later that was a great schievement as well. Soon Man City will be buying the double with only 1 or 2 teams able 2 compete.

good for you, but sadly you have to face reality, all the achievements you talk about, are almost as old this piece of film.

Only one of them actually. And it's the achievement of being first, not the age.

Understandable. How many league titles have they won? er, er, er.

Unless you're a United fan we've either won more trophies than you or are above you in the league WITH a game in hand.
