I love fighting in Hockey and definatly think it should stay in the game, but situations like this all season is ridiculous. It's happening over and over again. No one can just accept a nice clean hit. Hell, the guy completely missed the dude and still has to "answer the call". What ever happened to appreciating a good hit? Hockey has changed way to much these last 10+ years and the players are re-writing the "un-written laws".

That was not a clean hit though. That was the type of hit that Ulf Samuelsson used to put on countless guys that caused a lot of knee problems. It was also the type of hit that got Georges Laraque suspended for 5 games and Alexander Ovechkin suspended 2 games. That could have caused a knee injury. I'm not sure why this topic even gets so much attention...this is the way it has always been in hockey...you take a run at a player, and usually someone on the other team challenges you to a fight....it is what separates hockey from other sports...the athletes work their differences out 1 on 1...there are no retarded bench-clearing free-for-alls, like in baseball and basketball.
