CONTINUITY ERROR: Anyone else notice that 1's coin falls off his hat, but then about 4 seconds later is back on it, and then off again after? Oh, well, I thought the movie was great, it deserves a few viewings.
ERROR:It shows the Seamstress had sowed 8`s mouth closed so he couldn`t scream for help.He didn`t sow 1`s mouth and when 8 dies he spits at the Fabrication machine before,but that is only possible if his mouth was not sowed.
9 was a great movie. The reason the didn't come back,is that their bodies were,for say "rusted" or "broken". Since they are one soul,it isn't possible for the one soul to come back into split parts. Also,the deaths were aligned perfectly. Like a human death,or food chain would react with. I disliked the fact that,how could they survive? But you know,if the rain at the end WAS evolution,then the scientist would be the god. Kinda like irony. Science is against religion,and religion became science.

I do hope there is a sequal. But I don't think that having them come back alive would make for a good story, even though it is sad that they are gone. Hopefully if there was a sequal, which, don't get too excited there might not be, it would be great to have some repopulation and new characters. Not sure what a sequal would be about really, they already saved the world and its their's.

Why he turned evil: The Chancellor made him make all these machines that can destroy something(I don't know) and the B.R.A.I.N got tired of it and started to destroy all living things in order to relax. But when the Scientist sees that it turned evil, he made 1-9 ragdolls. Eventually he knew that he couldn't go on, so he made the last ragdoll, and died because his soul was gone now. When the Fabrication Machine finds out that there are more living creatures, he makes the machines to destroy them
That's true. 1, 2, 5, 6, and 8 dies in the movie. 1, I think you saw. I would do anything to watch 9! Shane Acker is awesome! Tim Burton is Marvelous! Timur Bekmambetov is brilliant! Elijia Wood is cool! John C. Reilly is great! Jennifer Connelly is stupendous! Christopher Plummer is... well... old! Crispin Glover is... old too! Is he? Also Martin Landau is cool too! and old!
I can see why Tim Burton is producing this. In the short there was one machine. But in this, there will be tons! They need 2 creative minds to make more!
This was definitely the creepiest machine in the movie. Acker has a brilliant (if slightly warped) imagination.

I highly doubt that seeing as it was based off of a short film and short films and adaptations are rarely made into sequels.
But if it did come out, I would be interested in how the aftermath would be, seeing as I loved this movie.

I would do anything to watch 9! Shane Acker is awesome! Tim Burton is Marvelous! Timur Bekmambetov is brilliant! Elijia Wood is cool! John C. Reilly is great! Jennifer Connelly is stupendous! Christopher Plummer is... well... old! Crispin Glover is... old too! Is he? Also Martin Landau is cool too! and old!

I can see why Tim Burton is producing this. In the short there was one machine. But in this, there will be tons! They need 2 creative minds to make more!
