Convert song and video formats in iTunes

I downloaded a music video, Monster by skillet, and I can't figure out how to convert it to a format the Windows Movie Maker can use. I have asked a few people I know and they have no idea either. Any ideas on how to?

Can you show how to change a video on Itunes to a song?

use quicktime pro and "extract" the audio "sound track" in "show movie properties" and save as .mov then convert later

or just export as aiff audio then convert to mp3 later as needed with iTunes or Sound Studio if editing is needed.
