  • i shed one manly tear to this starwars scene...

  • say what you will about the prequels, revenge was awesome even with it's weaker moments in mind.

  • ;~;

  • this was too much for me to take in when i was a kid

  • @abloblo2 yes it was

  • talking to freind; Freind:Yeah, Im really into nickelback right now Me: YOU WERE MY BROTHER! I LOVED YOU

  • This is even better in the Blu Ray Version xD

  • I HATECHU!

  • Funny thing is, if you ignore all the books, games and stuff he technically fulfills the prophecy in Return of the Jedi when he kills the Emperor since the Jedi were all but extinct. Thus "balance" in the force is achieved with both sides in ruin. Wonder if Lucas intended this or I'm reading too much into it...?

  • @TenchuXmusic back then he wrote a compelling story, so he probably did intend for that. i know star wars is aimed for kids, but imagine if it werent. there have been directors to make some REALLY awesome movies / tv shows with a little bit of gore, slightly more violence, creepy / tragic music and ofc a good plot. (supernatural springs to mind, or Elfen lied v.v)

  • manly tears have been shed.

  • the song that popped in my head celebration time

  • he did bring balance to the force!Yoda and obiwan VS vader and the emperor 2v2 Rule of 2 lives on! until luke fucks it up but then obiwan dies and makes it 2 again till today dies

  • Obi-Wan: Your father wanted you to have this (light saber).

    Luke: Really

Obi-Wan: No not really its a trophy when I left him to die.

    Luke: What?

Obi-Wan: Come with me to Alderan, or I will make something of yours into a trophy.

    Luke: OK

  • I know the Jedi have their beliefs but the least he could have done is put his friend out of his misery.

  • Most powerful scene in all 6 movies.

  • @akas1255 wat

  • @RegulatedMilitia

    You heard me!

  • If I recall coreectly i genuily cried when seeing this

  • why the fuck he didn't kill him?

  • This scene was so sad. actually cried lol. saddest scene in the whole saga if you ask me.

  • When he screams out "I HATE YOU!" one can tell that he is utterly enveloped by the Dark Side. What the blazes is there NOT to like thereat? It is perhaps the only line which Hayden could convey with the right kind of emotion!

  • I promised myself I wouldn't cry... DAMNIT!

  • thats why i burned my brother , cuz he became into the dark side of the force, poor idiot :(

  • this part was good apart from the "I HATE YOOUUUU!!!"

  • anakin got his arms chopped off like 3 times. ouch

  • so just shut up

  • @SuperHeroMania yeah, but if Obi Wan didn't leave Anakin there and took him back and convinced him to be good again and Anakin did, then what would be the point if 4 5 and 6? They made those movies first, remember? So if Obi Wan helped Anakin then that'd just make no sense what so ever. This is meant to fill in the gaps and match up perfectly to 4 5 and 6. So shove it!

  • That must be a real pain to fight against his best friend and see him turn into the dark side.. this scene is so sad :(

  • this was one of the only well acted/well scripted parts in this whole movie

  • @CTcowboys I actually agree with you here

  • @AstronautJ shut up, it just a movie u faggot

  • @Beccaelmado yeesh, don't take it so personally, it's just an assumption and he brings up some really interesting thoughts on philosophy here

  • This part made me ball my bloody eyes out and it racked my brain for days

    :,( poor obi wan...

  • Jedi are supposed to help those in need. Certainly they aren't trained to leave anyone, even a Sith Lord, to die if the fight is over. Why did Obi walk away and leave Anakin to die in agony? Surely carrying him to medical attention and trying to convince him to let go off his anger would be the thing to do.

  • @AstronautJ He would still be killed after killing all of the jedi i suppose.

  • @Veggis92 The Republic doesn't have a death penalty.

  • @AstronautJ After he nearly destroyed the whole Jedi Order and killed children?

  • @BloggersMisintention "Dead men cannot atone for their actions."

The way of the true Jedi in so much as I understand it, is to always show mercy and to forgive those who have wronged. In this case, Ankikan was no longer a threat and clearly needed help. Obi even gets angry and yells at his fallen friend.

  • @AstronautJ because it would ruin the original trilogy like if obi wan helped him then the originals wouldnt make sense

  • @sonictheheadhogteam I'm not talking about it in the context of the movie series. I'm saying it's odd for the events to happen this way.

I understand they needed Ankian to fall this way, but they chose to make Obi both ignore a helpless man dying in agony and get very emotional. That's just silly and entirely opposite to the way Jedi act. At least make it that Obi TRIED to help, but was stopped or something.

  • Gives me chills.

  • This is basically the only scene from pre Episode IV worth it's weight in salt. Everything else is just meh.

  • Definitely the most saddest moment in star wars history.

  • @Ando9233 THIS IS ALL PALPATINE'S FAULT!!!

  • @Ando9233 Episode 1.

  • @Ando9233

    you're trolling right?

  • @Ando9233 Sadder than episode 1? I mean just it's existence.

  • @Ando9233 Bitch please, in movie history,,,

  • @Ando9233 you forget the death of qui.gon jinn!!!!

  • just watched the movie XD

  • this scene alone is one of the reasons why episode 3 is on par with the original :)

  • When I saw this scene in the cinema I cried at a movie for the first time. ^^

  • As much as I hated the prequels, this scene was touching. Hayden Christiansons acting was (for once) spot on and Kenobi's reaction to him just brings me to tears.

  • Anyone know what song of the soundtrack this music is?

  • @ousooners5193 The Immolation Scene

  • @jonus63 much appreciated

  • Obi Wan: You were my brother Anakin!... I Loved you!

    Me: Heheehhehehe

  • Hermoine: Hey! She's only interested in you because she thinks that you're the chosen one.

Harry Potter: But i am the chosen one..

    Anakin: Bitch Please!

  • It looks like their in mordor!!

  • this shit fucked me up man this is so fuking sad

  • Yea I was 25 years old at the time this came out, and yes I cried.

  • @xThemalemodelsx

i was 15 when this came out, and remember it was so intense. I'm 22 now, and still is.

  • You were the chosen one reader! it was said you would like this comment not dislike

  • OOPS! Sorry "

  • "You were my brother! How could you date Padimé ? You've given her children, but who'll raise them after her certain death??

  • :'(+++++++++++

  • I never understood by Obi didn't finish him. Would have been easier than letting him suffer there...

  • @IrrelevantSquid its against the jedy code to atack somebody who cant defend himself...

  • To all who say gingers don't have souls, I will direct them to Obi-Wan Kenobi. The most badass ginger in the entire universe...too damn bad he's fictional.

  • why do they always forget obi saying " THEN YOU ARE LOST"

  • You were the chosen one!!! It was said that you would destroy the sith, not read this in my voice!!!!

  • SHUT UP ITS MANLY MAN TEARS!!!! :,,(

  • I love you? obiwan is obi gay :3

  • @TheEdouchiha Obi-wan loved Anakin as a brother, or even more like a son to him.

  • @Sporetacularful Is only a joke =3

  • 0:17 your fathers lightsaber.... this is the weapon of a jedi knight

  • @Mattkilcoyne Yeah i love how they drew the two films together by showing Obi-Wan taking Anakin's saber. Kinda cool

  • you were my brother anakin

  • I bet that guy who he beat in the pod races is really laughing it up now..

  • @Ian2forget Sebulba. dont ask, ive seen these movies wayyyyyyyy too many times as a kid o_O

  • @Da1337Man ...kids are growing up on the prequels? It's worse than I thought. Oh no, oh NO.

  • ewan carried these fucking shitty prequels on his back. he was one of the main reasons i even liked 3. this is one of my favorite star wars scenes ever.

  • @MrBurgundy76 why do people even dislike the prequels? theyre awesome

  • @philicheese1996 im not even gonna get into this again, but im glad some people can enjoy them.

  • @philicheese1996 3 was pretty good, but if all the scenes had been like this in the prequels mark hamill fanboys would have shit to say. sorry, but his performance in 4 5 6 were... bland. no emotion to them, its like he just read his lines from a sign way back in the distance on the set in the same monotone voice. i dont wanna offend his general acting abilitys, im sure hes good, but... (read above)

  • Meh.

  • it's only fictional.. it's only fictional.. do not fucking cry...

  • Tis but a flesh wound!

  • This scene and the one before the fight are so sad :(

  • Wow, way to take 'feel the burn' to a whole new level dude :p

  • Everytime I see this I ask myself ... he didn't pushed him over ?

  • What if Obi-Wan sent Annakin in the lava?

  • what did annikin say?

  • @MenschOhneBeziehung i hate you

  • @MenschOhneBeziehung I hate you...

  • i can´t remember the taste of strawberries anymore....

  • @kerolification

    Frodo Baggins?

    ahah

  • Every time i think about Joba Chamberlain i hear this speech. He was supposed to Succeed Mariano Rivera. now he will be lucky if he has a job in 2 years. (but yea it's more fitting for Lebron lol)

  • I crieed sooo much T.T

  • A really heart-wrenching scene, but I have to nitpick a little. I think Hayden delivered the "I hate you" much too quickly. He should have dragged it out a little more, maybe added some shaking to make it more dramatic. If he truly loathes Obi-Wan, he should show it more. That's all I have to say.

  • @Valiordruid nah, i think he did it just right without sounding like some crackwhore going PMS'. when you truly loathe someone, like he did, you do anything in your power to not show them that you're in pain. dont ask how i know x_X

  • Isn’t this what Francis Ford Coppola said to George Lucas in 1977?

  • the most gutt wrenching moment in star wars history :'(

  • should have said no homo after i loved you. lol

  • @Appleiseaten It was homo intended

  • i cried when i saw this scene but i go with obi wan, anakin how could u!

  • im sorry i first saw this movie it almost left me in tears but my mom called then ruined the whole feeling

  • This is what all of cleveland was saying, when Lebron left

  • Can hear a wee bit of McGregor's Scottish accent when he's shouting. N'awh.

  • The Peaceful Is Willing To You The Past Is My Brothers What I Love Is You

    -Ratio Is The Situation

  • You were my brother Anakin.. I loved you.. now watch me walk away instead of giving you a humane death while you catch on fire..

  • @jalspaugh3 I always thought that too, but bitch has to get all disfigured somehow.

  • Technically, he DID bring balance to the Force, now there's only two jedi (Yoda and Ben) and only two sith (Vader and Sidius) so the JEDI are the ones who made it unbalenced in the end...fucking jedi

  • @DeathDealer1997 The Jedi interpreted the Prophecy wrong so they grew and grew and grew and the order grew to a point where balance needed to be established.

  • @DeathDealer1997 Balance in the force doesn't mean they are going to sit on a seasaw, it's not literal balance, they mean harmony.

  • @DeathDealer1997 I have said that all along

  • @DeathDealer1997 the Obi-wan was like "Hell no. I'm going to unbalance this shit. Luke you wanna be a jedi? XD"

  • you where they choosen one your were my brother in arms

  • I cry every time I see this scene :*( especially when Obi Wan says, "You were my brother Anakin, I loved you."

  • you show him yours back, he teach you with his sabre

  • i ate u!!!!!!!!

  • episode 3 was a sad movie.

  • I HATEEE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

  • Obi Wan was a massive troll. He must've hated Hayden Christenson as much as the rest of us did. Probably why he let him burn alive instead of killing him off. lol

  • How the hell did this get in my related videos?

  • Comment removed

  • @Geeksta1998 sorry I ment to say I'm sorry for him up to a point I don't think I want to see anyone burn alive and yes he did get what he was asking for ges sorry

  • i Cry FUCK

  • Comment removed

  • I think darth was a jerk for killing those hopeless kids but in a way I feel sorry for the guy

  • @springbuk100 you feel sorry for him a guy who has betrayed his friends trusted a guy who had kept the bigest secret in the hole trilogy(the guy is the emperor) and killed 99.9%

of allknowen jedi sorry but i dont know how you can feel sorry for a 2 faced brat

  • @Geeksta1998 I feel sorry for him because of the way he was being manipulated, controlled out of his fear for losing Padmé, the way the council treated him making him feel unwelcome, etc.

  • ... :(

  • As Riley Freeman would say, "Yall n*ggas is gay"

  • EPIC MOVIE IS EPIC

  • scheiss drauf ob einer von euch deutsch kann, aber das ist eine der emotionalsten filmszenen aller zeiten!

  • ok, alternative ending. So instead of letting anakin burn to death, obi instead cuts off his robot arm and keeps him as his limbless pet in a small glass aquarium for the remainder of their lives. When obi is nearing death, he releases anakin into the tattoine wilderness where he would become the apex ground predator and the sworn enemy of krayt dragon. Anakin and his species would thrive by burrowing in the ground.

  • @natesdevices Oh Jesus that's creepy.

  • @thenewpollution2 i think it would be hilarious, like when obi brings luke to his hut he can say "theres your real dad luke!". Then there would be no darth vader and obi and anakin could spend their years working it out, though obi would go broke on kibbel.

  • iii achooo!!

  • i just and watched all starwars movies... i always wanted to know what was so good about them and now i know... this scene is the best scene i have seen in any movie ever

  • @assomarglar Right!?!? That's what I said...

  • Coming out of Obi-wan

  • :'( makes me cry.

  • One does not simply become Darth Vader.

  • I never understood how Obi won could stand there and say how he was his brother and he loved him, and then watch him BURN ALIVE. It was so out of character, and very unbecoming of a jedi. All he would have to do would be to extend one hand and pull him up. I wouldn't do that to my worst enemy. At the very least I could give them a quick death.

  • @zacthebold Obi-wan is a pacifist and the only reason he was able go as far as he did was because Yoda forced him to. He was a coward for letting Anakin burn to death down there.

  • :(

  • possessed

  • One of the most emotional moments of the whole movie. The end of Anakin and the TRUE birth of Darth Vader!

  • this is by far the best movie in the world!

  • Best scene in movie history. Truly.

  • @KuuskEinar lmao @ your comment and @ the 10 people who liked it

  • the word darkness has never had so much passion behind the word
