Which amp do you prefer - the venus 5 or the venus 6. Not sure if you tried the venus 5. I can't decide between the two and my amp dealer only has the venus 6 in stock.
I know. It's really hard to tell the differences without actually playing and sitting in front of the amps.
I think if you want a higher gain hard rock tone, then the Fandango is better. It definitely has more gain and more clean headroom on the second channel.
The Venus 6 would be my choice for everything else. Since it's class A it has a more responsive feel and it just sings. It also has more versatility via the footswitch. The Venus 6 is my favorite amp right now.

Both rock, but the 5 is 50 watts and is 6L6 based. The 6 is 35 watts and 6V6 based. I favor the 6 though.

I'm playing through the 1x12 open back combo. The 2x12 is just there for show.

Are you using the closed back 2x12 cabinet or the open back cab?
