@tstatech Between you and I... I suspect the motor slipped in its mount. I didn't pull the motor/blower assembly to split the hairs. It was easier and faster to adjust the squirrel cage. It was a warranty call from a menopausal stuporintendant. I just did what I could do as quickly as possible to stem the bleeding because I had a boatload of calls to attend before my day was over.
@fetisov02 I leaned on the wheel a bit when I spun it manually. That blower wheel shouldn't be damaged because I did the initial start-up. It sounded fine when the blower spun up after the call for fan. Glad you like my videos. I'll post more after my 'vacation'.
If the damper was connected to the 'open' terminal, the damper would be powered up (and it would close) when there was a call for heat or AC.
Those dampers are shipped in the 'open' position. Power is applied to close them. The servo motor can be relocated to the other side of the damper assembly and the default position of the damper plate changed to 'closed'. The motor turns in one direction only when powered up. An internal spring returns the motor to the default position (not powered up).

@mikie2501 I'm barraged with those political sayings. It's almost unbearable here in CA with the taxes, fees, regulations, etc. Various elections and voting measures are going to shake this state up in the next year or so. Much better business climate in Texas. "You can't keep down The Fort. Fort Bend County, Texas". Huge advertising campaign we're hearing in SoCal.
I remember I use to work on a 35 year old Lennox Multizone system in a library when I was employed with a University almost a year ago. Anyways I remembered that I changed out a dead modutrol series 70 motor to a series 90 and then all of the sudden, something went screwy with the analyzer and all zones failed to full heat. I then remember checking out connections for hours and hours and what happened was the connection for the 24 VAC to the anayzer was poor. And I never even touched that board?
I remember I use to work on a 40 year old Lennox multizone system that was in a library when was employed with a university and the stories I can tell you... Those old dinosaurs have a mind of there own sometimes. I remember one day I was changing out a dead modutrol series 70 to a series 90 and then all of the sudden all zones failed to full heat and without any reason ( I wired up the motor correctly) And it turned out to be a loose connection on something else.
@mechanicwarrior20 I hate working on older stuff because it takes a while to get familiar with its workings and quirks. Most newer components have diagnostics on board to help the tech pinpoint the problem. AireFlo circuit boards are famous for coding out "pressure switch stuck open/closed" when the real problem is a wire to the limit switch on the blower housing is disconnected. The first time I saw this problem, it took me 10 minutes to trace down the schematic and figure it out.
Another great video, have not had the pleasure yet to work on ZONE , but parts houses are pushing now !!! My buddies company are installing them now , he says they are not that hard to install once you get a few under your belt...
@fritzhvac Those zone systems work very well. They're intended to lessen problems with stratification in two- and three story homes with a single HVAC system. Most builders don't like the cost involved with multiple systems if they can avoid it. One 4 ton system is cheaper than two 2 ton systems. Zone it and save some money.
@eggman9713 I haven't the foggiest. It kinda makes sense that the 'chirping' smokies are alerting that back-up power (battery) is low or dead. My brain has tuned out the background noises that are common of jobsites. It's kinda like how I couldn't hear my ex wife's nagging.
@mazzmari My feet are always clean when walking on finished flooring in a new home. Being backcharged for cleaning fees is not a good thing. Cover'em up with booties, take your shoes off or be sure that your treads are dirt-free.
yes it was i spoke to him about it before alot of the homes he does are new homes but have no power for a long time before the sale so the batterys run low on the smoke alarms.
You have a lyrical way with the English language. Don't let a female hear you talk like that. Lol.
I commissioned a Goodman for a friend a while back. The wheel was shipped like that from the factory and the set screw was very tight. Strange.
Was the set screw tight or loose? Did it come that way or did it happen over time?

even after you adjusted the wheel, it sounded loud, almost like the wheel was damaged? i enjoy your videos btw.

why not just change out their blower motor? it would've made your boss happy.

@SteezyProductionInc Why replace a perfectly good part? It's a waste of time that I could spend doing paid service work.

what if the damper was set to open the way it was before you fixed it for a reason?

good job ! btw what a dick superintendant.

@67tr876 Thanks. I believe the superintendant was actually sporting a vagina. I didn't request visual confirmation because that would've been creepy.

I shoulda offered that superintendant/stupor-intendant a tampon. He whined like a little bitch. Our office has him pegged as a troublemaker.
I hardly hear the 'chirping' of those smoke alarms. It's a common sound in new homes that have recently been powered up.
PutSome5tankOnIt 2 years ago
@PutSome5tankOnIt Is that because they usually havent put in a backup battery yet?

even with power to the home the builder should fix the low batterys.
