i have some red on my skin and i have used so many others kinds to cover it this is the only one that has ever actually covered the red i am loving this pallet.
I started out using this palette with my fingers and then with a flat concealer brush and thought it was utter crap. It just wasn't transferring onto my skin very well. I recently tried using it with the Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman deluxe crease brush which is really dense, and gently buffing it into my under-eye area. It works a million times better and the thin texture keeps it from caking. Try it with a fluffy dome brush before you throw it away!
The lavender shade helps to minimize the appearance of yellow tones, such as a bruise that may be going away. I have this same palette and I don't really care for it either. Thanks for the review!
I'd love to hear your opinion on other Hard Candy face products! Such as the Glamoflage concealer and Welcome Matte powder. I have yet to find a drug store powder I really really like, and I'm curious about Hard Candy's, I've read good reviews.

Maybe if you applied the yellow color corrector to the darker pigmentation under your eyes and then applied the concealer color it might work better. I can't guarantee that for sure since I don't have this pallette, but it would be worth a try.
I LOVE hard candy make up,,I love the designs and just everything about them. As for this palette though,, I'm still undecided :// The applicator brush they give you is SO cheap, ugh. Very disappointing..
I also have this concealor...it's crap. They are very thin and coverage is almost non-existent. You're right about the different consistencies. The bottom middle one is very greasy and "sweats." The creamiest one is the darkest one but it still isn't worth buying. I'm not impressed with any of the Hard Candy cosmetics at Wal-Mart. I'm dissapointed every time I buy one. I won't be buying any more.
wish i had watched your review earlier, i got this for the pink in the palette because it's supposed to correct dark under eye circles.... but i got the palette and the pink is soo thin, it doesn't correct anything, LOL...
i kind of thought the pink was more of a highlighting cream.. i'm not totally thrilled with it I've found way better concealers maybe not packaged quite the same but I couldn't figure out why the textures on these was so off and i agreed you on the use, and I felt kind of let down.

@paulababe1985 I have tried the primer for months now and I LOVE IT!! Its so light dries quickly and the size of the tube is huge for the price. I purchased mine for $8.00 at Walmart. I will purchase this product again for sure..
@paulababe1985 texture isn't super smooth but i think it covers well. for like $5 i thought it was pretty good and i used it to cover pimples and the coverage is full. hope i helped!
i literally wanna buy this n just use it for the container. just wash out the product because obviously its crap- and just use the case for.. i dont even know but its so cute lol so i wanna do that XD

Have to say I disagree with you and I really like this product. My dark circles aren't that bad, but I do have red blemishes and lots of darker scars, which is why I love having all 3 correctors in the palatte. I can tell a difference in the consistency of the bottom shades as well, but I mix them all together, so it really doesn't matter, and sponge it on so it won't disappear
I disagree, I think that if you blend the yellow with the tan concealers it will cover up your dark circles. You said you don't like the idea of using the green, but it will absolutely counter act the red and bring it back to a neutral color. It's basic color mixing. Red + Green = brown, Dark circles are actually purplish and Purple + Yellow = brown, and then you can lighten or darken them with the tan colors.
you use the lavender color to brighten up parts of your face.like your cheekbones,under your eyebrows, or if you run it up and down your nose it gives the illusion of a longer nose.
I noticed the same things that you pointed out in the hard candy concealer palette. The 3 skin-toned shades were very different textures and the green looks white when I put it on my skin. Even though this was a "fair" palette, the skin-toned shades still seemed white based, almost too light for me, even the darkest shade. Great review!
the pink is suppose to cover dark spots, but to be quite honest, I don't really understand the concept of multi-colored concealers... I just use my LA Girl concealer and it works perfectly on me with any problem I might encounter (spots, dark eyes, etc). Would you do a video explaining it and showing various concealers? I would be so thankful!
also the brands your comparing it to like bobbi brown and kate von those are high end companies of course they are gonna blow hard candy out of the water but i think if you are looking for a affordable concealer this is perfect i barly have any thing to conceal maybe thats why i love it so much but i really do love it
If your looking for a nice creamy concelear for cheap e.l.f's normal line do a concelear stick thats really creamy and pigmented :) i love your videos!
I like the yellow one actually. I've found that it helps with the discoloration on my eyelids, I do agree with the others though. I've found that they don't cover up very well. I do sometimes us it if I've had a lot of sleep the night before (I'm a college student and I work full time so I don't get a lot of sleep :-/) I do feel that this would be great for teens though, but I think I'll stick with my Benefit Erase Paste ;) I like Hard Candy's lipglosses :D
You don't need any make up at all. AND YOU KNOW IT You are too pretty and SMART, beautyful voice tone. You need man like me... I'm gonna fill that need you have for attention. May be you just like make up a lot, Like Nefertiti... but in this life... You don't need it. But your vocalization of course is Xcellent. Make a video about another subject. Written for you, won't be hard because you organize your (verbal) notes pretty good.

You use pink to cover white spots you mau have on your face or to make othwer concealers more pink-ish. You can mix the yellow to other concealers to make them more yellow-y and you can cover red with it. if you go to cover blue with yellow, it gets green-ish (not good, of course) If your undereye circles are more brown or purple you an get some improvemnt...
You look really young and fresh without all that makeup and liner on. You look your age here. In others you look over 30, sorry if I sounded rude. Maybe you just don't realize it.
I think she looks nice all the time. She generally wears just the right amount of makeup. But everyone has different feelings about things and that is what makes the world go around. Personally I feel she looks age appropriate and her age or younger in most of her videos.

I agree. I have this pallet and I don't think it does a good job of covering anything. When I first put my brush in to use it I thought it would be a great product by the concistancy, but when you put it on your skin it just blends in to nothingness. I'm glad I found this review, I actually considered buying this the other day. Then I noticed the color-correcting shades were kinda shimmery and they don't over skin-tone shades that are light enough for me.

Just pat & blend that pinky-lilac color on your undereye circles, then pat the skintone concealer over it. I have this palette and I was surprised that it worked pretty well. =) ~sky~
Pink concealer is theoretically supposed to counteract bluish and purplish tones. You are supposed to apply it and blend well and then add a regular skin tone concealer over it. But in my opinion, if you are not a pro, don't even attempt it. Also there are many pro makeup artists that feel pink really works.
I don't really know the fundamentals of makeup. I just wear it and if it looks good I keep wearing it. But I would like to know if you could find the time to make a quick video on all you know about the colors of concealers and what color covers what. I know you ask for ideas, and this is one I'm interested in so I was taking this op.I'm not a big internet looker on searching for internet opinions on specific tips and stuff, I just follow the person I can rely on. I kinda like the green one. Its is greasy but I have dry skin. My skin is wicked red and I put it on my cheeks before my foundation. I use the yellow under my eyes. And I dont know what the Hell the pink is for???
I saw these at my Walmart and I was thinking about getting them but then I noticed I could get three stick concealers for much cheaper then the HardCandy one so I went for it, I'm glad I did. The stick ones (I forgot what brand they are) work great for me and I'm glad I was looking to save money at the time because judging by this review it would have no worked for me at all.

Pink can be used as a highlighter. You can use it on the tops of your cheek bones (if you place two fingers at the corner of your eye, that's the place), running it from the corner of your outer eye up to the eye brow, and/or placing it in the labial area of your face. Try it out.

I agree w/u totally. I think the only reason I bought this palette in 1st place was it is so cute--the look of the palette is (as you say) adorable; however, product itself=terrible. I bought the medium, my normal shade; all 3 shades of brown are too light for me. The pink, green & yellow do absolutely nothing. It is too light in consistency to do any type of concealing. I have found that almost all of the Hard Candy products I have purchased have been disappointing.
I agree 100% with this review. I wanted to love this palette and ending up being disappointed. The NYX concealer in a jar is definitely the way to go for the less expensive brands.

I don't like this palette at all. Not only was the coverage poor, it became clumpy with my foundation. I was rather disappointed in the Hard Candy line as a whole. In addition to this palette, I purchased a bronzer, a blush, a lip gloss and a mascara. I won't repurchase any of them or try anything else. Thanks for doing this review. I use the "Get Even" from Benefit but heard of Bobbie Brown's concealer. I will have to check that out. Also, the yellow powder from Clinic really works well at concealing.

I find that your other lighting tends to yellow out and doesn't make the colours from your makeup show up true to life... So I'm not trying to be rude, i really love your videos!
I didn't like this either, glad to know it wasn't just me. I'm disappointed in the quality, I really like their other products though (Especially the sparkle liner). I've found the best for under eye darkness is the yellow NYC cover stick, for me anyways. It's smooth and works well with mineral powder too, which is a must for me. Great review as always!
ya...a few of the concealers in there reminded me of Eyeko concealer..that is in the books...its ok..but greasy...It's like certain labs can't find the difference between cream--non-drying to powder..and greasy...lol..
I find I have better luck with concealers in a tube...I don't want one that dries to powder finish..looks horrible under eye area..NYX is ok..but it sort of does that too...But it is good for those who don't have many fine lines..and only darkness..works well for that..:D
I like this palette...I dont love it but I do use the Yellow around my eyes every morning and I love it.....I have almost hit pan on it and the other colors I have barely touched : / mine all feel different too

also the brands your comparing it to like bobbi brown and kate von those are high end companies of course they are gonna blow hard candy out of the water but i think if you are looking for a affordable concealer this is perfect i barly have any thing to conceal maybe thats why i love it so much but i really do love it

If your looking for a nice creamy concelear for cheap e.l.f's normal line do a concelear stick thats really creamy and pigmented :) i love your videos!

I like the yellow one actually. I've found that it helps with the discoloration on my eyelids, I do agree with the others though. I've found that they don't cover up very well. I do sometimes us it if I've had a lot of sleep the night before (I'm a college student and I work full time so I don't get a lot of sleep :-/) I do feel that this would be great for teens though, but I think I'll stick with my Benefit Erase Paste ;) I like Hard Candy's lipglosses :D

You don't need any make up at all. AND YOU KNOW IT You are too pretty and SMART, beautyful voice tone. You need man like me... I'm gonna fill that need you have for attention. May be you just like make up a lot, Like Nefertiti... but in this life... You don't need it. But your vocalization of course is Xcellent. Make a video about another subject. Written for you, won't be hard because you organize your (verbal) notes pretty good.

Pink can be used as a highlight, in my color corrector i just use it as a pre-highlight color for my inner corners, then usually put a white over it.

You use pink to cover white spots you mau have on your face or to make othwer concealers more pink-ish. You can mix the yellow to other concealers to make them more yellow-y and you can cover red with it. if you go to cover blue with yellow, it gets green-ish (not good, of course) If your undereye circles are more brown or purple you an get some improvemnt...

I think she looks nice all the time. She generally wears just the right amount of makeup. But everyone has different feelings about things and that is what makes the world go around. Personally I feel she looks age appropriate and her age or younger in most of her videos.

I agree. I have this pallet and I don't think it does a good job of covering anything. When I first put my brush in to use it I thought it would be a great product by the concistancy, but when you put it on your skin it just blends in to nothingness. I do like their lip stains though, and their face primer. Thank you Emily for your review. you are always so helpful. =)

I'm glad I found this review, I actually considered buying this the other day. Then I noticed the color-correcting shades were kinda shimmery and they don't over skin-tone shades that are light enough for me.

Just pat & blend that pinky-lilac color on your undereye circles, then pat the skintone concealer over it. I have this palette and I was surprised that it worked pretty well. =) ~sky~

Pink concealer is theoretically supposed to counteract bluish and purplish tones. You are supposed to apply it and blend well and then add a regular skin tone concealer over it. But in my opinion, if you are not a pro, don't even attempt it. Also there are many pro makeup artists that feel pink really works.

I don't really know the fundamentals of makeup. I just wear it and if it looks good I keep wearing it. But I would like to know if you could find the time to make a quick video on all you know about the colors of concealers and what color covers what. I know you ask for ideas, and this is one I'm interested in so I was taking this op.I'm not a big internet looker on searching for internet opinions on specific tips and stuff, I just follow the person I can rely on. I'd like to improve.

I kinda like the green one. Its is greasy but I have dry skin. My skin is wicked red and I put it on my cheeks before my foundation. I use the yellow under my eyes. And I dont know what the Hell the pink is for???

The pink shade is for correcting yellow undertones. It's more for an olive skintone.

I saw these at my Walmart and I was thinking about getting them but then I noticed I could get three stick concealers for much cheaper then the HardCandy one so I went for it, I'm glad I did. The stick ones (I forgot what brand they are) work great for me and I'm glad I was looking to save money at the time because judging by this review it would have no worked for me at all.

I had this product and took it back to Walmart. I had never taken any type of makeup back to a store, but I felt this product was a joke and such a waste of money. Too Greasy!

Great eval, I just ordered two items from your last video, the LA girl fineline pencil liner is OUT OF STOCK!! Do not know this site, hope that doesnt mean long. General note to anyone, did I hallucinate or did someone show a mascara that was totally round at the end, i believe it was Maybelline but not sure, any ideas, please help. thanks and spread the word. I think we all watch the same people so will put a note on all lol.

Pink can be used as a highlighter. You can use it on the tops of your cheek bones (if you place two fingers at the corner of your eye, that's the place), running it from the corner of your outer eye up to the eye brow, and/or placing it in the labial area of your face. Try it out.

I agree w/u totally. I think the only reason I bought this palette in 1st place was it is so cute--the look of the palette is (as you say) adorable; however, product itself=terrible. I bought the medium, my normal shade; all 3 shades of brown are too light for me. The pink, green & yellow do absolutely nothing. It is too light in consistency to do any type of concealing. I have found that almost all of the Hard Candy products I have purchased have been disappointing.

I agree 100% with this review. I wanted to love this palette and ending up being disappointed. The NYX concealer in a jar is definitely the way to go for the less expensive brands.

I don't like this palette at all. Not only was the coverage poor, it became clumpy with my foundation. I was rather disappointed in the Hard Candy line as a whole. In addition to this palette, I purchased a bronzer, a blush, a lip gloss and a mascara. I won't repurchase any of them or try anything else. I wish I had waited for reviews on this range before I purchased any. Thanks for your review Emily!

Thanks for doing this review. I use the "Get Even" from Benefit but heard of Bobbie Brown's concealer. I will have to check that out. Also, the yellow powder from Clinic really works well at concealing.

Hey there :) Thanks for making this video! By the way, I think this lighting is a lot better than the one you usually have in your clips... I find that your other lighting tends to yellow out and doesn't make the colours from your makeup show up true to life... So I'm not trying to be rude, i really love your videos!

I didn't like this either, glad to know it wasn't just me. I'm disappointed in the quality, I really like their other products though (Especially the sparkle liner). I've found the best for under eye darkness is the yellow NYC cover stick, for me anyways. It's smooth and works well with mineral powder too, which is a must for me. Great review as always!

ya...a few of the concealers in there reminded me of Eyeko concealer..that is in the books...its ok..but greasy...It's like certain labs can't find the difference between cream--non-drying to powder..and greasy...lol..
I find I have better luck with concealers in a tube...I don't want one that dries to powder finish..looks horrible under eye area..NYX is ok..but it sort of does that too...But it is good for those who don't have many fine lines..and only darkness..works well for that..:D
