i have twin girls...and they recognize the new Dora...i believe TV is not the same no more..for example. Barney was a favorite for me growing up, but he was also cancelled! I just hope that the parents came still educate kids and say, "they only look like that on TV!

Some of the ppl talking for these characters are already grown so there is no change in the voice. They just want to make these children grow up fast with superficial values that will cause them to want to live a life that they should want to live until these preschoolers are actual teens. Sad! I think changes like these are what destroys memorable shows. I was part of the generation of Hey Arnold, Rocket power, Rugrats, etc which were in IMO epic shows. What made those shows memorable were the creative story lines & originality which could be appreciated by any generation, thats what makes it a classic. I think Nick is trying to fix something that was never broken. I honestly think most of Nicks stuff is garbage but thats My opinion. =]

I must say I like the desgin for the older Dora though yea, a lot of great shows like Rugrats have been killed with...making them older "All grown up" and its been running for a long time, so maybe they should end the show because after a while it'll be Spongbob and they run out of new things.........and I'll be pissed if they get rid of Boots.

for years and years over, the girl that does Dora's voice has gotten older and so has Dora. I think it's a sign, because my 3 year old cousin died two months ago and she loved Dora to death (No pun intended), and after that happened I heard about the Teen Dora. y woulld you make a 5 yr old character geared towards 5 yr olds, a teen? the new dora is very pretty, but there was nothing wrong ith the old dora. i wouldnt be suprised if the new dora gives lil kids self esteem issues. old dora: realistic, adventerous, chubby lil girl. new dora: skinng, fashionable, teenage girl. these little kids arent gonna know that they cant look anything like the new dora until theyre at least around 12 years old.right now, they still have all their baby fat.
