AFP, stop lying to your viewers. Israel rejected the EU statement on Jerusalem. European countries have no right to interfere in Israel's capital city.
Israel was not "allowed to exist" by anyone. Israel had to fight for independence from Britain, by killing many British soldiers. The Europeans did everything they could to destroy Israel, so there is no reason for us to thank them.
I know being a citizen your opinion here will certainly differ but you gotta see how its wrong to keep trampling the palestinians and then wondering why they attack through terror.
israel never welcomed the EU draft. On the contrary, they condemn a draft that declares half their eternal capital as belonging to a people that didn't even exist 300 years ago.
If this draft is recognised, this will only encourage Israel to speed up it's building on East Jerusalem. Current restrictions will be taken off the table and full building will commence.
Im confused, if palestinians didnt exist 300 years ago, then who lived there? israel was established in 1947? so in ur theory who lived their? marsians?
Im afraid there are more just like him. Im neutral in this conflict, but using a book that was written by man and presenting it like hard evidence is bs.
Before the Ottoman Empire, there were many other empires that conquered the land. But First real kingdom in place was the kingdom of Israel. Held by the Israelites, who were back then a grand majority.
Many have fled after Assyrians conquered the land. The Jews (descendents of the tribe of Judah) then conquered back the land, only to be retaken by the romans in 200 B.C.
Judaism is only a name given to a religion that exists in 11 other tribes of Israel.
According to Israel Finkelstein and Neil Silberman, authors of The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred Texts[2], the idea of a United Monarchy is not accurate history but rather "creative expressions of a powerful religious reform movement," possibly "based on certain historical kernels."
it was not the united Monarchy that was put into question, but rather some of the Bible's legends, such as jews being inslaved in Egypt. There are some new findings that suggest Jews lived as residents with same rights as Egyptians and who decided to leave while giving their name extra power.
I personally don't follow the sayings of 2 authors who will try anything to sell their stories and put in doubt the official theory, recognised by all scientists, supported by PROOF for the past 200 years
And secondly, 98% of todays "israelis" dont have anything incommon with ancient age israels except religion. Most jews of today israel are from soviet union who came there after WW2, some of them even before ww2 but you see my point?
Many studies have been made on this subject. ALL have come up with the similar conclusion:
54% of jews today are Ashkenazim. The grand majority of them have no genetics in common with the Khazars as many doubted.
Most families ending with Cohen were found to have direct descendency from the same 120 differnet people, Believed to be the 120 priests who were in charge of maintaining and praying inside the Temple.
The other 40%, Falasha, Yemenite, Bnei Menashe, have nothing to do with Russians.
My great great great grand daddy settled in what is now Jerusalem in the year 4million B.C from Egypt (I said it so it must be true)....Therefore, I own the place and would not allow anyone else to live here...regardless of other millions of people who are living here and have been settled here for at least a couple of hundred years
You are so dillusional...You completely disregard the fact that Jerusalem is a sacred city to so many other people.
a) My joke is very similar to your statement- (switch the words 4 million with 3000)....Since you're claiming to have founded Jerusalem 3000 years ago..
b) The fact that you replied to my post (and the way you replied) shows how stupid you really are!
c) There is no use in arguing with idiots like you....In fact, the reason why there has been no peace and probably won't be any peace in this world is because there will always be dumb people like you! You belong in the sarah palin I.Q category!
a) I never stated Jews founded Jerusalem. I did mention they inhabitted it 3000 years ago, after it was conquered by king david in 1050 B.C.
Palestinians were farmers, bedouins and merchants coming from all corners of the Middle East. (most appeared after the conquest of the ottoman empire, though some came during the Sassanid and Caliphate conquests too)
b) If you think I'm stupid, that's your problem. Whenever you run out of excuses, you end up insulting and try to stop the conversation.
YEA 3000 FUKIN YEARS AGO!!....There have been so many people who have settled in that land since then!! Therefore Jerusalem shouldn't be the land for one race only!!!...Why don't you get it through your head....North America was settled by the natives for 1000's of years right up until the 15th century, when it was conquered by Europeans...Now N.America is full of white people, black people, natives, asian people and latinos...No single race can control the land!!
Jerusalem and Israel is a land for one race only!! (the jews and it is controlled mostly by ex-european jews)...Regardless of the fact that so many other people live there!!You need to comprehend the fact that Jerusalem is HOME for many other people apart from Jews....Instead of supporting Israel on this matter you should support Palestine (which is although majority muslim, it does not call its self home for muslims only) Before Israel, Muslims, Christians and Jews lived in peace in Palestine.
When did I say it can not belong to other religions? Muslims, Jews, and Christians still pray there as they wish. I was simply replying to your message of Puhovac who said Jews never existed there beforehand.
And how do you think Judaism appeared in Europe in the first place? It is the result of the Roman exile that led to a disperce of the jewish people. Their faith has remained the same.
Please fix erroneous title, Israel does not "welcome" the EU stance on Jerusalem, nor does this video give any attempt to suggest such an outrageous claim. As for the person in the video saying the EU's talk "clears the way for Sweden to set the borders of Jerusalem"...reminder: Sweden is not the boss of the sovereign state of Israel, or its capital Jerusalem.
Agreed- Israel certainly would not welcome a stance that divides jerusalem & fails to take into account facts on the ground ie Jerusalem has expanded since 1967 and 200,000 Jerusalem jews now live beyond the Green line
I think the EU has just ruled itself out as any sort of future mediator in ME conflict by its unrealistic stance on Jerusalem & the Jewish community that have settled beyond the Green line.
Your government begs to differ.

israel was only allowed to exist after the secon world war because of the staes and a certain eu member, great britain.
it was a huge mistake to do so but too late for that now i guess. the people of israel should be thankfull they have a nation at all!

israel was wiped out of existance thousands of years ago.
after the second world war israel was "re-created" in the middle east by the united states and britain.
israel shouldnt even exist and this huge mistake made by these two governments has lead to many deaths through terrorism.
what if an super power came into north america and forced us into a corner returning everything to the native americans?
at least that would be recent history.

Religion at its best. I'm going to Neverland to be with Tinkerbell. At least I'd be in an actual paradise instead of fighting over useless land.

As i have understand from the HOLY BIBLE THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD, JERUSALEM belongs to ISRAEL and is therefor a Jewish capital.

95% of the land was a desert 300 years ago. Nobody lived there, appart from a few nomads who were officialy under the rule of the ottoman empire.
There was no state called Palestine, nor any people called Palestinians at the time.
There WAS however, for the past 2700 years, a nation called the jews. They represented a minority back then, but they were always present.
upsilone19 2 years ago
So then the land is nomads land. There were no israel also at the time remember that nor any israelis.
There is no nation of jews, judaism is a religion like any other. To call jews as a nation is like calling christians a nation.
Keyword here: Minority! We have a small swedish minority in Finland for ages BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT THIS IS THEIR land :)
See my point here?

Also google some pictures of Palestine in 1948 and see how desert the land was. It was the jews that made the desert bloom, not Arabs.

4 million B.C.? good joke. Homo sapians only evolved some 400 thousand years ago.
Jerusalem was first built by the Jebusites. Today, an extinct tribe.
Jews have all the proof they need to show that they are the only existing people today who have inhabitted Jerusalem long ago.
If you say you lived there before the jews, proove it.
