If you live close to LA, you might want to audition to AX Idol this summer. Anime Expo this year is held on July 1-4 and they have a competition called AX Idol. There are two sections in which you can participate: singing or voice acting. Many VAs such as Cristina Vee started getting known through AX Idol. She didn't win though but they were certainly interested in her so now she does voice acting professionally! So even if you don't win, you have a chance of being discovered so give it a try!
