  • i dont get this video. plz explain sum1

  • shit is gay

  • @furiousaaron

So why would you bother watching it? Your shit is fag shit.

  • Lol now i will download The Happening..

  • i think its about an artist that doesnt care much about life and tries to ignore what goes on around him but at one point he no longer can ignore and starts to apprecate more and more the small details others take for granted

  • @I'snt this talking about how blind people feel? Have to touch to know wut it is? :o

  • Drugs much?

  • I dont get this lol

  • um..........i don't get it but ok.

  • wooow...

So thats what it kinda feels like when you're blind? This is verry touchy...

  • URGH WHY IS UTUBE NOT WORKING!!!!

  • it's about stopping prejudice... imagine if everyone in the world was blind. How would be people be with each other, everyone would help everyone else... when before... the seeing didn't help those who needed him till he was in their position...

  • I relly dont get this! Why cant he see? What are all the people doing on the street???

  • I feel like im at the age where i should understand what this means... but maybe im to ditsy b'coz i dont understand it lol .. Oh Well !

  • this is amazing....

  • Really deep animation, but a bit creepy, reminds of Jose Saramago's "Blindness" novel

  • love this

  • i dont get it. whats the white stuff and why cant he see

  • @kaytaywazzzhere Stigma. Those Jenova guys gettin everybody sick and stuff

  • what an awkward but suitable animation style

  • 4:18 Awkwaaaard!

  • this is deep n stop bein so negative yall

  • 4:25

    gayyy

  • @sheep2slaughter don´t you think that that was definetly not needed??

  • @PX465

    i was kidding, lighten up.

  • What's the name of the first song?

  • With the addition of the theme of "preoccupied or oblivious artist" (who seems interested in portraying only himself), this is very close to Saramago's novel Blindness, which was made into a pretty good feature film a couple of years ago.

  • Videos like this have several interpretations. There's no definitive answer when it comes to art: it's how you see it.

Personally, I see it as art is blind. When you start something, you can never really know how it will end. When things go bad, and I've been there before, the thing - its a monster. Destroying you, who you are. Then, you meet that one person who pushes you through - makes it all ok because you're not alone anymore. You're not the only one.

  • use your other senses to make and experience art.

  • Moral: Know that life is important, be nice and supportive not selfish.

I love these videos because they tell morals.

  • so cuming in your eye's makes you blind, o.k got it

  • José Saramago, ENSAYO SOBRE LA CEGUERA.

  • @Tioiuju I thought the same.

  • About the man on the street (for people who are confused): He had just gone blind, as does the artist later on. But then, the man on the street didn't know what was going on. He needed comfort, and he was searching for the nearest possible candidate TO comfort him and tell him things would be okay. The artist was closest to him, so the man went to him. Little did he know, the artist is not a caring person, and he turns down the man.

  • You can't understand what someone's pain is like unless you experience it too. You also shouldn't take things for granted. Always appreciate what you have and consider yourself lucky because someone else always has it worse than you.

  • nice way of playing with the concept of the white colour and purity and the dark colour the artist is in in the beginning. Everything around him has become defamiliarized when he exited his dark chamber. Its about our inability of communicating and escaping our own "dark" habits and where they lead to eventually.

  • wow

  • Both of the top rated comments are ludicrous and have nothing to do with the animation.

  • @SmileyFaceEmo What do you think it's about?

  • Everything in animboom's channel are really creepy

  • I think it was him embracing tragedy & seeing beyond himself..making him see things he normally cowered from.

Which opened his eyes in a sense & the tears came out like paint.

Before he ignored it & it hindered his abilities to express his talent because it was so narrow and a repeated process of only drawing himself.

When he embraced it, a new canvas with other peoples stories were beginning to appear to him.

At the end he hugs the man because he was the one that pulled him out of himself.

  • @SABRIINA156

A painter paints himself, but doesn't do the eyes. He goes outside, a lot of stuff happens to him, like getting forcefully hugged by a depressed man. Suddenly, he starts to "bleed" paint. He slowly becomes his portrait, which doesn't have eyes. He is blind, and tries to remember the things that happened to him before he became blind to go back and paint the eyes. He finds the man that "attacked" him, in a way, and is so thankful he hugs him.

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

If you can do all of this without breathing you're a good pot smoke

  • i don't understand it . can anyone explain this ?

  • Ouch! that really hurts at 4:01

  • It makes me remember the work of Saramago and the film based on his work "Blindness".

  • SARMAGO and the film Blindness

  • HAHAHAHAH! i think this video is neat. but after i watched it over and over i laughed at the 2:53, the blank stare at 2:57 and when he hits the pole. also how he looks when he touches his eyes! lolz. but thts just me

  • poor man this made me..cry :( i should be glad im not blind...

  • @OURWORLDROXS ...You should be glad?...You mean you're not? :P I think the artist is trying to express that he or she feels that most people are blind. It's a symbolic kind of blind lol :P And I think that in a way, the video had a strange sort of....happy?....ending of self realization and probably an inner commitment by the artist in the vid to live his life better, so maybe he's not such a poor man after all. :) I agree though that it was pretty sad :/

  • this makes me want to cry

  • ich versteh das irgendwie nicht... xD

  • When he goes outside there is a medic attending to a sick man, but he just turns his eyes and walks the other way. He doesn't really see much of his surroundings. When a man grabs his leg, he can only push the "creature" off him without empathy for the ailing man's suffering. And walks away from him. But when he himself is struck and debilitated, he is given the gift of empathy and the ability to connect with people around him.

  • The white juice, for people who keep asking, is a science fiction made-up stuff for the purposes of this video. We don't know what this strange disease is or why everyone on the street is suddenly struck with it. At the top of this film, our guy is alone, in his loft, not answering the phone, avoiding people, and so self-important he is painting his own self-portrait. His focus is so self-involved. When he goes outside there is a medic attending to a sick man,...

  • Me recuerda mucho a "ensayo de ceguera" de jose saramago, podria pensar incluso que fue basada en este libro

  • give a supporting hug when somebody needs it, you will get it back when you need it someday.

  • Comment removed

  • Score one point for Israel! I need to go to this school.

  • whats this gooey stuff....maybe ill figure it out if i put it in my eyes....

  • @gothica1985 milk? lolz...

  • dont get it...is he homo??

  • what is the name of the song on the beginning?

  • chale no le entendi ni maiz ¡lo juro!

  • The ending is the best part

  • what was the white stuff??

    was it blood???

  • @CHEESEisYUMMY4298 paint i think :P

  • I think it just reminds us that its nice to get a hug every once and a while :)

  • some people cant be kindhearted and leave other people to suffer and care about themselves and who will help those coldblooded people !? no1. but thats what they think until som1 ho accualy cares helps him and the person who needed that help and nvr helped anyone in the first place was pleased, releafed!, happy, emotional and guilty all that the same time. THANK YOU ANIBOOM!

  • wat is the white juice?

  • omigod creepy and sad

  • wat is the white juice?

  • im so confused :(

  • thats not young

    thats creepy O_o

  • in the beggining i thought they were zombies!!!awesome video btw

  • you don't know what you've got till it's gone

  • כיף לראות הערכה לאנימציה ישראלית!

    כל הכבוד :)

  • כיף לראות הערכה לאנימציה ישראלית!

    כל הכבוד :)

  • he thought he didn't need others, that he could live a lonely world, till it came to him.

  • this is a young artist, who slowly becomes blind. THINK ABOUT IT.

the people droping dead? thats everything that he sees fading.

and the white stuff in his eyes, thats his see, his colors, his sight, leaving him.

when hes in this "white world"? thats all he sees, but those regular sounds, thats what he hears in the seeing world. when he hugs that man? thats that guy that turned blind too. so hes not alone. come on guys, its easy (:

  • @lbomeally101 They weren't dropping dead. They were going blind, just like him. See the car crashing into the building and the man groping aimlessly? They'd all been blinded (most likely from some type of solar rays) How old are the people posting on here? This is fairly straightforward video with a fairly straightforward message. I can't believe how many of you missed it or read your own stories and feelings into it. Pay more attention to what you're viewing

  • @ritter89 You realize they're allowed to put their own meaning into it, right? It's the point of shorts like these. To portray emotion. Whatever gives them the most meaning, is what the short is about. Solar rays? I think this is more symbolic than that.

  • @ritter89 Videos like these are open to interpretation within reason. The artist tries to communicate an emotional message, but if people don't apply their "own stories and feelings" to the video then it means nothing. And solar rays? Really? I think you're the one who missed the point of the video. Pay more attention to what you're viewing.

  • this is like the movie the happening

  • the clip's intention is to actually strike each one of us to the heart. realizing that failures should be accepted, and shaping our own personality, and filling one's loneliness with your love! it actually had a great impact on me, i don't know to you but i did!

  • I don't think he's that young. xD

  • don't be selfish because you can't live on your own we need others to fulfill our emptiness .

  • I don't understand the people dropping dead all the time thing :/

  • voll traurig! :(

  • ok that was stupid what was that white stuff in the beggining, and why the cows did he scratch his eyes out with it!

  • powerful? that was stupid

  • That was extremely powerful...

  • sadasdasadjahhjdklas

    aniboom concept fail!!!

  • did it get blind?

  • I think i got it...Artist leaves studio goes out where he finds the whole town is under some effect from germ warfare. older guy tries some weird vulcan mind melt on him

  • 2,,,he owns the guy but gets tossed to the curb. he falls, see townsfolk dropping like flies, freaks out pisses himself when allofasudden he turns into a furian.oh the .blinding light,!

  • michiyo 1986 he is his father ,if you hugh your dad your gay ?

  • last part was super gay

    ...sorry...XP

  • i was scared of this O.o becous it reminded me of dieing and it felt like dieing wud b like u would not see anything and u woulnt move on life would just be white and u...u..well u get wghat i ment right? cinda horrible but interesting..

  • He was looking for find his hole to hide in then found someone, he wasn't scared anymore. so it ended their.

  • wow it was great thank u

  • wow! Aurora

  • Very abstract...not sure the true message behind this animation, knowing that everyone has their own view, but I'm not sure what my view is...interesting nonetheless.

  • 5* touching, and amazing.

  • i think its funny how much people care about being accepted by others, who gives a shit if you arent.

  • wow...

  • so many different opinions on this video, and all of them right. there is many ways to perceive this story according to the different situations of all the people making the comments. this man is in a situation just like one of my own (or so my perception tells me) in that he feels lost and alone. confused about the world and only wanting to be accepted. he will cling to any foothold he can find and grasp it firmly, giving him a kind of separation anxiety

  • I think a lot of artists will be able to relate this film to themselves in one way or another. I'm not sure what the actual message is, but, as an artist, I can understand the feeling of chaos and confusion, and especially the isolation. Problem is it's subliminal and something only you experience, or at least the way you experience it is different from the way anyone else does. Being a creative thinker isn't a fun and happy thing all the time. It can be very scary for a variety of reasons :/

  • thats fantastic-and who is issacdr?

  • that was so artistic :P

  • Humans. They're selfish. It's as simple as that. He was selfish, and didn't appreciate life. Then once he lost what he had taken advantage of, life, he realized how precious it really was.

  • so he made his self blind?

im not trying to be rude, i'd just like to know.

    very well done

  • i think its about some thing that about life u think that u dont need people to help u with ur problems and u think that people that causes that and u think that u would rather be alone and that u wish that no one to be there for u and u think that why should i help those who in need i only care about my self and about my life people bring problems to me i prefer that i would be left alone and i will solve my problems thats why when he got blind he just could he felt the need of people that life

  • @20dark20 Seriously, learn to use proper grammar. Start with making sentences, not a whole bunch of words thrown together. No offense, but I think everyone here would rather read a nicely built paragraph than some words thrown together.

  • @20dark20 You made no sense.

  • @20dark20 English plz!!!

  • didn´t get it :S

  • what i dont get is why he rubbed it in his eyes

  • Whooie! Nice one!

  • good imagination for struggle .. I like it

  • amazing. this was truly wonderful

  • oooh, everyone at the start was blind, thats why happened the accidents and then the guy came blind and saw how it felt like and it wasnt nice :( or something like that im just putting up my own conclusion :P

  • He has MOOBS XD, and also I dont get it....

  • For those who dont know. The guy became blind ( more like alot of people did ) but wat he saw was wat he could hear and touch thus the bleached objects and the appearence and such. Hope this helps ^^

  • Wow, what emotion.

  • cumcumcum

  • wow wtf lol

  • wow like a deizes

  • i dont get what happend...

  • perfect ending

  • Very nice. I loved the end.

  • It seems a reference to José Saramago's book, "Ensaio sobre a cegueira".

  • wierd but great

  • that scared me XD

  • what in the world does this even mean

  • it requires thought to discern the message

  • In a world of the blind, touch is all you have. But, the touch of the cold and inanimate is no comfort. Don't close your eyes and avoid the gaze of your fellows or the plight of their circumstance, for they are all you have.

  • ur smart XD

  • huh........wtf

  • think

  • umm..... Im a little confused but it was still great (:3

  • think

  • Great!!

  • This kind of scared me O.O

  • it scared the crap of me!

  • It was a little confusing but still it was really good!

  • think

  • This is how a real artist must feel loving and accepting all work. You need to be the art not make it.(finish it 2)

  • i think th meaning is more of he's not satisfied with his work and painted over it, but when he turns blind that's the first thing he wants to see the most. people don't appreciate what they have until they lost it i guess.

  • Cool soundtrack :)

  • the story means u r not always alone

  • this reminded me of the movie blindness

  • haha me too

too bad i didnt finish it :(

  • Maybe it's about how most of the time, young artists become artists because they go through so much strife that they are afraid to become attached to anything or feel anything - This point was exaggerated but got through, with the dog, and the man. The feeling of fearing things without real reason, just the want to be AWAY from them. Then they begin spinning into depression, and make their way back to the surface, to heal and be able to feel. It is the cycle every artist must make.

  • After all,the need to express oneself isn't felt by those who have had an easy path to their place in life. Those who must make their place in the world feel a constant need, whether for love, attention, acceptance, expression. Finally, at the end, when the young man lets go of his fear of feeling, he is so overwhelmed with the feeling of relief, portrayed by his feeling of relief at the blindness going away, that he hugs the person near him. It has a different meaning for everyone, I'm sure. :)

  • it kinda reminds me of the happening

  • very cool...

  • oh i get it...

  • i dont get it

  • i kinda liked the end because the man wanted to hugg the guy but he refuesd and at the end its in reverse

  • Nice animation, has deeper meaning in it. All we care about is self, until we realize that there are more important things to life, one of them is just ability to see outside of your self.

  • i liked the end, how he ended up the same as the man he hugged was

  • Hmmm... 8D

  • I suppose this animation is pointing at how an artist's career path is like being blind. You never know where you end up and I would agree because I am a student artist. What reminds me more of the life of an artist is a railway of a train (you never know where it started and you never know where it ends...)

  • very...touching =p

  • Comment removed

  • ???????

  • what kind of ending was that??? Also at first i thought it was a zombie movie, until his eyes melted... then i was all like whaaaaaaa?

  • Animation inspired by the movie Blindness?

  • ok?

  • I didnt understand
