This is a great live TV performance featuring four fabulous musicians who could all sing and play beautifully. I have always associated Susanna with that beautiful black Rickenbacker guitar she usually plays, and I am surprised to see her playing a Stratocaster here, but it's all good. 27 years later, and I just remembered how much I love the Bangles. Thanks.
How many of you think this song is meant to be prophetic and describe something that will happen during END TIMES before Judgement Day?
The Demise of Rome and the Vatican, performed by the so called false savior, the Anti Christ? How many think the AC is actually Jesus and that Rome will try to make everyone believe he´s not the REAL Messiah by referring to their own product: The Book of Revelation? How many of you know that Knights Templar found the Holy Grail and that it contains info on how
@99Karloff to timetravel(visiting parallell universes where time has gone further then in our time)?
That Rome got this info when they tortured Jaque deMolay, the Knights Grandmaster, in France 1309
and that they have tried to figure out a way to avoid their own destruction since then?
By writing The book of revelation for example. All I can say is: C O U N T Y O U R D A YS ROME(the babylonian whore). The king of Judah is coming, and he will punish you and your homosexual demons!!!
@dsfddsgh Yeah, some of that hair is a little big. But I'll take that shit over the crappy flat haired minions today. Every teen and tween (and some of the moms) have boring long flat hair that all looks the same. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Great song awesome..!....But I just gotta say a few words about the fashion statement here...Vicki Peterson looks like she raided Duran Durans closet....and Susanna looked like her grandmother dressed her...the bastards wouldnt show Michael up close...shes hot..they all are...
@NonStopRocker ha,ha..I guess Vicky took the wardrobe from "The Goonie" video, I still think she had a great body. The pearls on susanna didn't match her outfit.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Coolest girl group ever. And this tune is one the main reasons why. Great rock and roll from a no-joke, no-gimmicks foursome in this early live clip. Their live vocals were always fantastic.
Amazing vid and amazing band, the only thing that annoys me is that the camera NEVER shows the bassist =( why not she is amazing and hot as they all are.
Oh well at least we get good glimpses of her during live concert videos =)
The improvised guitar break and tambo! So cool. No one dare pull that on live TV back then or now. Everyone always performs the studio versions of everything these days. The Bangles are such good live.
Seinfeld's "Puffy Shirt" episode was in 1993, so it took 9 more years for societ yto turn its back on shirts like that. "It was the 80s" is an oft used refrain to explain fashion choices like that.
"All Over the Place" had a great sound. I saw them around this time with the Hoodoo Guru's as an opening act. The Bangles rocked way harder than most people expected, excellent live band.
ah mickey, goddess of bass......but shiver me timbers wot the bloody hell is vikki wearing? long john silver meets the thing formerly known as prince?
I love this version; better than the studio cut. Only thing I can't figure out is, what the director had against Michael Steele (bassist). She was the one who had my heart fluttering, and the director keeps cutting her out of the frame! Bastard!
@berserkley The Bangles have always acknowledged their roots and in turn wrote and performed songs true to themselves and their talents. Compared to where they were when they started to today is a drastic change, but they always perform as professionals which they are and always provide a crowd pleasing performance including this song.
@berserkley I Know! That son of a B I T C H! Michael was the coolest Bangle of them all and he just had to leave her out. He was just jealous of her.
@berserkley Haha. Probably the producer of the show was a good friend of the Runaways manager Fowley. He had promised MS, she had blown her only shot at stardom when she left The Runaways. I´m SURE he was really annoyed when the Bangles took her in, just before their first album release. LOL, It´s VERY funny actually:-D
@rjpancerniCAUSA Kinda funny to see Susanna playing a Fender instead of her signature Rickenbacker. Vickie has gone back and forth between the Les Paul and a Strat during her "career".
My wife had the same cut back then (part of the reason I asked her out was that she reminded me of Susanna). The best part is that the fashions change, but it is still great music.
This was from a letterman aniversary show and it just blew me away.. I was an instant fan ! I saw them from the second row in a small venue in portland Or. and they put on the best show I have ever seen ! The place went crazy !!
