For example: scientists don't know why dorsal fins collapse, "only" five dolphins were recruited as "Flipper" and swimming with wild dolphins has actually been shown to be damaging to the animals.

Preservation does not require exploitation. This crap should really have stopped in the 70's. The reason they have flopped over dorsal fins is because they can't swim straight enough or fast enough to keep it upright with the flow of water, and after a while it falls to the pull of gravity. If they took you from your family to be put in a small tank and made to do tricks and jump in jacks like you are in prison they are worked to death and they go get another killer whale. How humane is that we can kill them but we act as if a killer whale would not be stressed and kill a trainer?
Don't get me wrong, I am not glad the trainers have been killed or hurt but if you are going to work with these enormous captive animals then things like this will happen and will happen again. These animals are depressed and acting out in frustration of being locked up. Elephants will do the same thing. they are gentle giants but sometimes will attack and kill their trainer. Free Willy!

I went to Sea World in Canada as a child. If it was your birthday you could go down and kiss the whale on the mouth. As I walked down and got close to the whale, I panicked and ran away...I'm so glad I did because that whale could of dragged anyone in the tank...including me!!!!

This circus was known for its cruelty to elephants. I had a sign that read: "IF YOUR CHILDREN KNEW, THEY WOULD CRY." The same is true concerning the plight of captive marine mammals. Tillikum was also blamed for the death of a mentally disturbed man that snuck in to his tank after he hid in the park till it closing. He was found dead the next morning "draped" some say over Tillikums back but an autopsy later proved that the man died of hypothermia.
While I COMLETELY disagree with keeping orcas in captivity, your information about Tillikum is a tad misleading. Tillikum did kill a trainer but he was not the only one involved, 2 of his female tankmates also contributed and he at the time resided at a park that did NOT allow the trainers in the water with the animals. The trainer slipped and fell in to a tank of orcas that where not accustomed to human company in their pool.
Wow...I do hope you know that most of what you are saying about Sea World's Tillikum is a lie...#1 Tilly is STILL used in the shows...#2 Sea world does not starve their whales or dolphins to submit into their doing...I dont know where you are pull that crap out bc but you need to go back and research on Sea World. I love this! I agree with pilotMP- humans aren't going to stop until nature itself puts us in our place. there are so many people out there who worship the dollar, when in all reality, we should be respecting nature and give her the same respect she has given us- LIFE. I think we all should live and let live, and i agree that dolphins and whales and all creatures are our brothers. when was the last time you looked into the eyes of a helpless animal and felt its pain??????

I loved your video; but as bad as it sounds. Human beings will never stop with practices like this. A human being is obsessed by mùoney and it's own profit.
Only the day nature will strike back and we will lose everything (and lot of animals and nature will die as well by our mistakes/which we are already doing), than they will see what whe had, what whe did and how litlle brains we actually have.
Who is more evolved? The one who changes nature to his will or he who changes himself to nature?

I heard that after the recent tillika accident they are cancelling killer whale shows in Orlando and in California. I don't know if they really did close them down for good. Any help?
I know of a very large community of people that will definately help the cause. They are great lovers of wild animals but not in a bad way. The furries would be more than happy to help free these poor creatures.

they say that the worlds deadlyest animal is the great white shark i say the worlds deadliest animal are us...the humans we are the problem animals go extinked orcas are endangered and need help not captivity (jail) they are just like us but they are fish mammals actually we are basicly eating ourselfs and basiclly entertaining ourselfs one day there arnt gonna be dolfins or orcas they are all gonna be dead and its unfair to them i say they should just go to the north pole were noone can findthm

Hi, What a shame there aren't rules by now to outlaw this sort of captivity.
I believe man as yet has next to No understanding of what other animals, feel and know. And when we find out, we will be ashamed. Remember, these other creatures also have 2eyes, a nose, a mouth, and they have a heart. No different than us. The difference is, they are all far stronger than us; equipped to do their choir without attachments or the need to enslave. Money makes us stupid.

Oh my god. I wanted to go to sea world but now never. They are so mean and I just would go there to help the animals but I can't somebody should do something. The animals must feel so sad but they have to live, even they don't like it.

I posted this video there earlier today. Would love to post in on the SeaWorld fan wall, but tend to get beaten down when I do try to bring awareness to them. Surely it's time to stop this madness. In that regard, the Tilikum/Dawn incident, woke up a group of humans who have been sleeping walking for far too long.

Great video. I am sure it will receive more hits since someone was recently killed by a whale at Seaworld. It wasn't the animals' fault. I hope they don't kill it.
When will we as humans learn that, wild animals aren't supposed to be in captivity.

Tillikum was also blamed for the death of a mentally disturbed man that snuck in to his tank after he hid in the park till it closing. He was found dead the next morning "draped" some say over Tillikums back but an autopsy later proved that the man died of hypothermia.

While I COMLETELY disagree with keeping orcas in captivity, your information about Tillikum is a tad misleading. Tillikum did kill a trainer but he was not the only one involved, 2 of his female tankmates also contributed and he at the time resided at a park that did NOT allow the trainers in the water with the animals. The trainer slipped and fell in to a tank of orcas that where not accustomed to human company in their pool.

Wow...I do hope you know that most of what you are saying about Sea World's Tillikum is a lie...#1 Tilly is STILL used in the shows...#2 Sea world does not starve their whales or dolphins to submit into their doing...I dont know where you are pull that crap out bc but you need to go back and research on Sea World. And their shows are different each time for the whales and trainers...my ga people need to stop pulling crap out of their asses and telling the public lies.
