I have to object that being friends with a girl beforehand helps a relationship. First off, when you are going out, you're each others best friend anyways. Secondly, have you ever heard of love at first sight? Third if your talking about being just friends that would not really help if you wanted to bring the relationship up to the next level because you guys would be friends and fine with being so. It would be kind of awkward to be good friends and then after a period of time, start going out.
