wojtasqn, I applaud you greatly on this. I could have never thought of a more perfect combination. This is even better than Alex Grey with Tool. This could be my favorite YouTube video.
TOOL idealnie pasuje.
This guy was absolute great, i think he painted like this because of the war period he lived, so sad, but this explains his pain even if he never wanted to talk about the real content of his artwork and avoided the analysis of them
You could be right. But it seems waaaay too trivial to explain his art just by war sufferings. I would suggest a wider perspective.
Beksinski reminds us: we, humans, are mortal. Each of us will die in the end. Our bodies will decay and our minds will disappear forever. All stars will vanish. Finally, everything will END. Everything.
Or not?
And that is the question Beksinski's art poses.
It is not a new question, but still the most important one.
if they taught art like this back at school i would have taken a huge intrest instead of crummy old van gough and flowers in bloody vases. isnt it always the way though.
ok, let me rephrase and say through my perspective i see nothing of intrest in van goghs artwork. Perhaps thats because of the way i was numbly and bluntly introduced to it through education, but more likely its a style and fancy. everyone has their own opinion.
I like that this person had an opinion on Van Gogh. It may not be five stars but it felt honest. Maybe this person felt there wasn't much to learn from Van Gogh. I can relate. That is not to say that I don't greatly admire his work. I love It. But one has to admit he dosnt achieve the dimension this guy seems to be able to capture . I can go on and on. The thing to remember about Van Gogh is that he broke the mold when it came to expression. This guy seems to push the limits of thought
well ... now you are grown up more or less .. but back in the school years you would say this is shit. Good that you didn't see it in school because now you can appreciate it's true beauty =] and Van Gogh stuff is different ;) Beksinski was a very sad man ... and very unhappy ... you can read his biography or even interview on his web... I don't know if it's in english ... but you can read out of it that he was very sad man
i became a fan of anti-beauty

Great song.Great lyrics.Great painter.All great!!
So crucify the ego, before it's far too late
And leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical
And you will come to find that we are all one mind
And capable of all that's imagined and unconceivable
So let the light touch you, so let the words spill through
And let them pass right through
Bringing out our hope and reason
Before we pine away......

Hold your tongue, kid, Van Gogh is one the few painters that you don't wanna talk shit about.
Tastes for everyone but calling Van Gogh crummy for his subjects is like calling Shakespeare a faggot because he didn't do science fiction.
