  • I'd hate to choose between Davros -- the egomanaical genius bent on universal conquest or dustruction through his genecidal creations, the Daleks -- or The Master -- another Timelord, also bent on universal conquest or destruction -- but as he is the same race as the Doctor, I think he's the kind the Doctor fears he himself might eventually become. But Davros' priority is exerting his will over the universe through the Daleks; The Master's priority is exerting his will over the Doctor.

  • Who's the man at 0:05?

  • I'm a tad surprised The Master didn't crop up..he seemed very upset when he died..

  • Maybe I should ammend my question: who, in your opinion, is the Doctor's greatest enemy -- Davros, or someone else?

  • @jamalshookup theres 3 candidates in my opinion. Davros, a complete maniac who seems to have modelled self on Hitler+who created next on my list, the daleks, one of docs real fears, really representing pure hate, violence, racism or speciesism, everything he's against. Their Nazis basically. But i think his worst enemy would be the Master, simply cos so alike. Used to be best buds, real similar personalities at end of the day+EQUALS. He is the moriarty to docs holmes, he IS the ultimate nemesis

  • @jamalshookup what do u think?

  • Just curious: is Davros the Doctor's greatest enemy?

  • What is davros saying at that last part?...''Because he dare not...outershe'' what?

  • @dude13zo "The Doctor. The man who keeps running, never looking back because he dare not, out of shame."

  • @Nitrinoxus Thanks I have been needing to ask that question for 4 years now....lol.

  • @dude13zo Oh, you're quite welcome.

  • IF they actually showed all the people who died for the doctor, it would probably last an entire episode.

  • @TheMrCFH :( Yeah.

  • This was the scene where I fell in love with Davros. He wouldn't be satisfied with his victory, without breaking the Doctor in the most vicious way possible; that's the mark of a sociopath, and Davros is easily among the best of them.

A brilliant scene, for a brilliant scientist. We love you, Davros.

  • @Nitrinoxus Couldn't agree more. His calm demeanour makes his words all the more poisonous. When he's composed & deliberate, he moves with the force of a charging rhino.

But when he gets over excited (e.g., his dialogue with the 7th Doctor about the Daleks sweeping away '...the impotent race of Time Lords', or later in this episode, when he laughs maniacally that nothing can stop the Reality Bomb), his loss of control shows, & everything comes apart. He's his own worst enemy -- not the Doctor.

  • @jamalshookup Quiet villains are best, I think.

Well, to be fair, nothing short of a deus ex machina could've stopped the detonation. Unfortunately, a DEM is exactly what stopped the detonation.

  • We really need to bring back the companions that really break the Doctors Heart. A scene where the Doctor and Susan Foreman reunite would be heart-brakeing for all the audience.

  • The saddest part? These are only the deaths in the tenures of two out of eleven Doctors.

  • Would have loved to see Adric, Dalek Sec, Lytton, Sara Kingdom and Katarina

  • This is just the tenth doctor, Like in the eleventh hour where the Atraxi show the doctor all his reincarnations.

  • This was the worst episode ever

  • what is the music called

  • @MrAnomaly44 Dream of a normal death

  • can you put the full clip? i'd love to see it again. =)

  • it is incredible how people die

  • Who's the woman at 0:10?

  • @sarcasticnoodle94 Ah, nevermind, I remember. ^^;

  • Has anyone else noticed that Gwyenth the maid from season 1's The Unquiet Dead didn't appear in the clip?

  • @LightLife4 she didnt show up because she was in the ninth doctors episode and these clips are all 10th doctor

  • @kirbycathy Actually there not, not all of them. From Jabe (The End of The World) to Lynda (The Parting of Ways)were the ninth doctor. It's from Sir Robert (Tooth and Claw) onwards that they were all tenth doctor clips.

  • @LightLife4 oh lol :-)

  • What has he been running from all his life? A question. Doctor Who? Doctor Who?! DOCTOR WHO!?

  • so umm....did anyone else think that davros had one too many "final victories" in this episode, i swear he said he had his final victory like 6 times in this episode.

  • @JustinBeiberFan132 Dream of a Normal Death by Murray Gold.

  • This is why David Tennant is IMO, slightly better than Matt Smith. The emotion and pain in Tennant's eyes is just too real. While I firmly believe Steven Moffat is slightly a better writer than RTD, it is this scene that makes RTD almost (but not quite) on par with Moffat.

  • @HopelessInLife1990 All equal to me, but this is why the Eleventh Doctor hates himself, partly anyways.

  • @MegaAstroFan18 So... RTD and Steven Moffat are equally good? After all the lives lost, wouldn't you hate yourself?

  • @HopelessInLife1990 Yes, RTD and Moffat are equally good.

  • @MegaAstroFan18 basically it hink they are both writers of the highest calibre (they are writng the greatest tv show of all time affterall) and are equally good but in different areas. judging by what iv seen so far of thr Moff's tenure he can do complex story archs a bit better than RTD but RTD can do complex characters a bit better than the Moff. i mean i really like Amy, Rory and RIver but as characters they haven't (yet) in my eyes become quite as nuanced as Rose, Donna, martha or jack were

  • @HopelessInLife1990 u also have to contend with the fact that the tenth and eleventh Docotr's personality is altered as well as with all the Docotrs. i can't imagine 11 or 9 becoming as emotional as 10 is here. i can imagine maybe 5 or 8 doing it tho. basically 10 was arguably the most human of all the Docotrs whereas 11 is more alien (just part of the regeneration process). I think that was a good idea frankly do a complete 180 with 11 like 10 did on 9 so its not imitating. love em all

  • I really hope they bring Jenny back someday. she was an awesome character. at least make a spin off about her. and while you're at it make a spin off about the space pirates from the 11 doctor episode with the siren.

  • @TheValiantBob this is why de who is the ultimate tv show you can make a spin off of EVERY story pretty much. i hope Jenny comes back too. i mean c'mon the Doctor has aDAUGHTER out there somewhere. i was half convinced River song was going to be Jenny since the moff himself persuaded the writer of the Docotr's Daughter to NOT kill her off at the end (and by that point i think he knew he was going to be taking over). It'd b awesome if she returned cos with the 11th Dr is practically her age

  • What is the music title for this??? It's been bugging me for too long!!!

  • @MrACJohnstone It's called 'The Dream of Normal Death' by BBC National Orchestra of Wales Feat. Gaby Leester and Jaqueline Shave, if that helps XD

  • the bbc wouldn't dare do all the deaths from 1963, if they did, the whole episode would be about clips of people dieing in the doctor's name, like Adrick (duno if I spelt Adrick right) in one of the clips.

  • @Doctortrek1 A few wouldn't go amiss though... maybe the more memorable ones, like Adric, Katrina etc

  • Jade. Controler. Lynda. Sir Robert. Ms more. some people from LINDA. Cpt Jack.

Chan tho. Astrid. Luke. Jenny. Melody Pond. the hostess

  • Love how Jenny's death has the sound of the gun being fired unlike all the others that are silent it shows that Jenny's death had a greater impact on The Doctor then all the others

  • Doesn't river song kill him

  • @richcampoverde dude no wtf river song might be his sodding wife

  • Whos the one at 0:03

  • @KlngSimon she was in 9th doctor. series 1 (2005)

  • I believe these people died for a reason, they didn't die because of the doctors looks or charm they knew what the doctor was capable of a man who is capable of saving an entire planet in the blink of an eye and they knew that from the very moment they looked into his eyes that he was capable of so much more then they were ever

  • why does nobody remember the poor little servant girl from 'The unquiet Dead'?

The girl gave her life to stop those gas spirits from taking over the earth ;(

  • @kiaoken Gywneth

  • @kiaoken To add insult to injury, they mention her later in the TARDIS, but doesn't appear in the flashbacks. She's called Gweneth, by the way.

  • David's acting is so good here. He doesn't even say anything but he's fantastic.

  • @Cyberleder ,mmmmmmmmmmmm yes true

  • How can ANYONE say that with multiple moments like this this was a bad episode.

  • i counted 16 lol

and luketkin how would you know all that it hasent happened yet and you cant find it out anywhere :S.

  • no 17 people died 4 the doctor

  • about 15 people died 4 the doctor

  • if davros was here i would punch him for making the doctor remember all the people who gave their lives to him. I mean look at the doctor at 0:07

  • @10thdoctorwhoandK9 dont do that to a cripple!

  • @10thdoctorwhoandK9 Actually he every right to do that to the doctor co's lets face it, everytime time something kicks off after a situation he's always the first to run off. If someone runs away after a situation they were involved in and chooses not to look back or talk about it it's normally because they don't want to face up to what they've done. In this situation Davros had him cornered and he couldn't run off, he had to face the music.

  • @10thdoctorwhoandK9 you'd punch a cripple?

  • @10thdoctorwhoandK9 Well Davros did have a point. Those deaths featured in the scene were in one way or another down to him. He could have talked them out of it or physically stopped them but he didn't.

  • That was the saddest scene ever, im crying right now... sniff...

  • who is the man at 00:05

  • Sir Robert, the owner of the Torchwood Estate in Tooth & Claw.

  • thanks

  • i know

  • never mind that, who the bloody hell is that blonde that got shot at 00:20?

  • lynda with a y

  • lol no i knew it was jenny, his daughter

  • that blonde is the doctor's daughter didn't you even know that

  • I cant beleive u dont know! that was the doctors daughter!!!

  • its Jenny the next doctors companion she finds matt (new doctors and travels with him) one of the episodes they visit gallifrey by accident and the doctor has a mental break down.sshe is also the doctors "daughter" clone.

  • ill hold u to tht if it doesnt happen

    sum1 is gettin castrated :L

  • @dinosaur77777 He is from the second episode with david Tennat he is the husband of a maid in tooth and claw

  • Indeed Poor Doctor always losing his friends and family

  • Sigh, all those people he lost, who died for him. :(

  • @PirateTillTheEnd

yea- but I would honor to die for the Doctor, the world and the universe needs the doctor always- for all the things he done, and how many times he saved so many~ the Doctor, now and always

  • @PirateTillTheEnd I wish they had shown some clips from classic episodes.eg Adrics Death.
