Screw the "tell him in Mexican" line, the best line is Lance's "Hey, hey, what the hell!?" Keep in mind, Jerry Jarrett rarely gave Lance and Dave a head's up about the angles so that was likely semi-legitimate surprise on Lance's part. He knew something was coming, but probably didn't know exactly what.
Just thinking, Idol has probably done more to Lawler than any other wrestler. This incident, the head shaving match, the posting with Tommy Rich, and the vial of substance thrown in Lawler's eyes in the Tanaka match !
I remember this I had tickets and actually have some photos taken during this event. As far as Austin Idol, He lives in or close to Pensacola, I have spotted him at the Home Depot in town.
Yes.. That is deffinately a young Eddie Gilbert.. Possibly back when we was being called Tommy Gilbert Jr. This was a classic. Ya just knew, there was someone under that mask, someone out to get The King...
Ummm. the guy in the mask was Austin Idol.. not a Mexican. Lance didn't know. So, he could've actually had an interview and told him to get out of here. LOL He didnt need Hector. (It's a joke. Lighten up.)

what the hell are you saying? since it was austin idol and not a mexican, that has confused lance into thinking the spanish language is the mexican language? try to avoid getting drunk or stoned before posting youtube... thx
@pimpacious yeah. its a classic line ! For 3 minutes 'ol banana nose keeps up the pretence of tolerance and "hands of friendship"...but when the fun starts it all evaporates....hilarious stuff !
Does anyone remember the time Hector came out with a pinata? He blindfolded Lance and had him hit it repeatedly. Eventually, flour came out and got all over Lance's Baxter suit. Lance was livid! Funny stuff. I wish someone had that video to post.
Austin Idol! He lived in my hometown for awhile [Pensacola, FL] when I was a kid--a friend of mine knew his son. He's like Superstar Billy Graham--came along too soon in the business, if he came along now he'd have a world title, no doubt. Oh, yeah, dig the disco-riffic TV theme song, lol.
That is some great footage. As time went on Hector made one of the best heels I ever saw teaming with my ol buddy Carl Styles (under a mask)and using Hector's hot sauce on his opponents. Great Memphis memories.
The key speaker slurs way too much, lawls!

Florida did an angle very similiar to this with the Assassin posing under another mask presenting an award to Dusty Rhodes.
