@Cardio1027 Hehe yeah I know what you mean. Though suddenly I'm hearing a lot of Katy Perry in dentists and doctors...not good. God bless you Gerry. And this video should really lose that Fast Dhow Bono Estente Chrissie Waddle opening bit!
i still love this song (When I was a KID), I thought he said You know he's NEVER gunna STOP moving, cause he's rolling, he's BEEN ROLLING STRONG, (instead of He's rolling, he's THE ROLLING STONE) It DOESN'T matter, it's STILL a GREAT song
I love this song. It's a shame they don't make music like this today. You can hear the heart and soul the artist put into it. This is one of those songs that will stand the test of time.
One of my all-time favorite songs of all time, and I'm only 17. Like some people have said here, this songs brings chills down my spine, I cry everytime that i remember that he is no longer with us. I could listen to this songs all day, the saxaphone is the best part!
i find myself humming and singing this to myself throughout the years ... when i hear it ... it sends chills down my body .. that's how powerful of an imprint this songs left on my soul. loved memories of my youth in the 70's..........
I wish I had discoverd Rafferty's music sooner. Right down the line has always been one of my favorite songs and who dosnt love baker street. Had no idea it was the same guy untill about a month before he died. He is gone but his music remains for a new generation to discover. Thanks Gerry for the music and the memories. Salute.
i'am hearing a greatest song of the world and i cry......cause he was died yesterday, i remember when i was young at yunior high school, i was running back to heaven...it's mean back home...
good bye Gerry, may God welcome you with open arms, you brought such great memories to millions of people. I remember hearing this song since I was a child. Say hello to Jimmy, Elvis and Dimebag.
I actually have a tear in my eyes because this man died. His music was my life's story. Especially Baker Street......another year and you'll be happy, but you're crying now". That says it all.
RIP Gerry. Another one of the greats gone...but never forgotten. You have been one my favorites since the 70's. Your music will live on and on, thank you !!!
You bet!! He was the best. I loved everything he did and still have original tapes from back in the 70's. Another great one has left us. Wish young kids could appreciate him but unfortunately they don't even know his works.
@TheNeroXIII , I was in college in the 70's and still have over 200 albums and tapes of all the great bands. At my wedding we played Al Steward and Jerry's songs. I just love their style.
@mmaus44 Michael Mind did a remix of this song, even though the remix is little old for the clubs, i remember people went crazy when the sax started to play. But on the YT-commentfield, all people do is complaining about it being shit and a disgrace to Rafferty. Yong kids appreciate his work, but in a different format and i wish people could see that.
It's not greasy, dumbass, its the uploader, and it's Spanish, also at the end to say, hope you have enjoyed it, so no insults please buddy, and he can say whatever the fuck he wants, my friend! later mate!
@Lrdvltr why do you have to say something as divisive as that dont you realize this is a spanish person honoring gerry rafferty a white person...moron
my dad had a bust up with gerry rafferty and billy connelly when they were in a band called the humble bums. when they came to Dundee in scotland think my dad said it was the 70's . well before this song. was number 1 in 1978 i think....
