  • Taxing the middle class will not solve the problem! Create solar panel factories or wind or wave alternative energy plants thus creating more employment. Make alternative energy appliances cheaper for the ordinary man that's what needs to be done to cut our carbon footprint. If the carbon tax is your first & best solution then God help us all!

  • This tax is supposed to fund the switch to cleaner fuels yet the lpg rebate on cars has been cut back massively and will prob keep dropping and the cost of lpg has doubled with the new legislation put on it and there is talk of the carbon tax being applied to the lpg further pushing up the price so why would anyone bother to convert!

  • Type "George Carlin and global warming" into youtube, watch and enjoy! Good old George telling some simple obvious facts.

  • SHE IS FULL OF IT. This is a modernized scam of the old "pay taxes to the church or burn in hell" re-engineerd into "pay taxes or burn alive on the planet". Her so called 50% contribution to tax cuts are based on a cut of an "increase", also where does the other 50% go? Don't get suckered Australia you're the first guinea pig. Those companies that pay will just increase their prices. REJECT THIS. DON'T BUY anything with a Carbon Tax that is the answer. It will hurt them more than it hurts you.

  • This is how it works: Some super rich profit makers will make billions of dollars from this carbon non-science. Someone is pulling Gillards and Brown's strings. They introduce a tax after winning an election by deception. Power companies and most Industries will have to hand over a carbon tax. They will keep on with their normal activities so carbon will still go up in the air. Then they will just shift the expense of the tax onto the consumer who will end up paying for this tax.

  • We need a price on Carbon Dioxide.

Since the last election a lot has happened. There has been the Qld floods. Plumes of CH4, a kilometer in diameter, have been observed escaping from the Siberian shelf. This has been a main fear of the environmental lobby. What was formerly an abstract fear has now switched to reality. CO2 induced warming is melting the arctic ice and releasing CH4. CH4 is between 20 and 70 times more virulent than CO2.

To prevent a major catastrophy the Government must act now.

  • And where do the companies and homes, businesses and offices, charities and hospitals, schools, etc. etc. get their power from when this carbon tax raises all of our power bills?

  • @goggycozzle "where do the companies....get their power"

Same place. However an astute power company can switch to renewables. If they do that, they can avoid having to pay the price levied on carbon pollution. You see, what you call a carbon tax is totally optional. Whilst the price on pollution has a relatively large impact on your power bill (that is 10%) its share of a families gross income is next to nothing (less than 0.2% & thats not including the Government's compensation package).

  • The climate models are not actually models you know they are spherical crystal devices that when hands are laid on them a swirling mist reveals what will be happening in the future, failing that the backup system is used which employs a china teacup and some old fashioned tea, not the baggy stuff and voila predictions that would have as much bearing on reality as a climatologist riding the train of plenty.

  • The carbon tax. The sum total of esoteric deceit.

Another Y2K scam. Exponential in scale. Most Australian now agree? Economists and experts agree? The best way?

No Ms Gillard. The Greens and Labour agree. With your closed door, pseudo climate welfare skulduggery. There is only one question that remains: How will our great Australian society recover when Labour and the Greens can no longer prevaricate over our nation ?

    Chicanery. The Labour decree.

  • This is nothing but misinformation

    Plenty things could happen

I could win the lotto, i never do

Thinking i could win the lotto should i spend the money now?

Well i could win the lotto so shouldn't i count on it happening? Of course not!!!

None of this is based on proven science.

    It is all hypothetical.

Since when do we make disicions based on hypothetical scenarios.

We are better and smarter than this!

We need to look at the people who claim these things, and why they are claiming them

  • You are an idiot Julia!!!!!!

The reseach shows CO2 has no effect on climate. If anything its the otherway around. Climate affects the CO2 in the atmoshere. The whole bases of your argument is wrong!

Its people like you that thought the world was flat.

Its people like you that burnt free thinking woman calling them Witches.

    Whats next???

People like you should be shut off from the rest of the world

  • It won't work but it will cost money? The rest of the world isn't moving? It's too little too late?

Tony Abbott has you alllllllllllll brainwashed.

  • @ummjw

Carbon stays in the atmosphere for up to 150 years anyway.

There is nothing this carbon tax, or any emissions trading scheme can do.

    This is a scam.

  • @goggycozzle Well it's not that simple.

Gee, maybe did you think that slowing it down might help? And I don't know where you pulled those figures from but we know that the Ozone layer has the ability to regenerate, but for the last one hundred years or so hasn't been able to because we keep piling shit on to it.

Now granted, Australia's contribution is minor, but at least this tax will prepare our industries, set up the carbon markets, and ready us for a future when this will be the norm.

  • Comment removed

  • @ummjw

Atmospheric CO2 has nothing to do with the ozone layer.

There is no longer a conclusive link between atmospheric CO2 and global temperature rises. Atmospheric C02 has risen over the last five years while the global temperature has stabilised

But even pretending that there was a link, at a maximum of 150 years atmospheric life for Co2, there is still nothing ( of even pretend value ) that this carbon tax can do.

  • @goggycozzle You're correct your explanation is a scam!

Whilst CO2 may stay in the atmosphere on average for between 200-300 years it does not wait 150 years before it starts to be sequestered. As soon as people start to either reduce their consumption or to reduce emissions the price on carbon will be having an effect.

  • @RasPesher

Like a butterfly flapping its wings on the other side of the earth type effect?

  • @goggycozzle At first the difference will be slight but over time the gap between our current practice and the business as usual scenario will widen. Not only that but the effect from each year (wrt CO2 in the atmosphere) is accumulative.

Don't forget that many other countries are either on board already or will be coming on board with CO2 reduction programs..

  • @RasPesher

'...the effect from each year (wrt CO2 in the atmosphere) is accumulative.'

Yet for five out of the last ten years the global temperature has not risen.

No longer is there a provable link between atmospheric CO2 concentrations and global temperature.

Atmospheric CO2 is therefore an excuse for an underhand unstated agenda.

Most probably the agenda of the largest corporation in Australia, BHP Billiton, and the worlds largest Uranium deposit, BHP's Olympic Dam uranium mine.

  • Why does her voice just sound so pre-programmed??

  • Julia Gillard promises no one will be worse off under a carbon tax. This is the same politician who said we would never get a carbon tax.

  • @goggycozzle Are you sure that Julia Gillard made that promise? "No one"? Really?

An article in the SMH seems to say otherwise: Prime Minister Gillard defended the limited compensation (for the carbon tax), saying there was "no money tree," " the budget has got to add up.''

  • @RasPesher

The public is being asked to believe her promise that no one will be worse off, when the whole point of a carbon tax is to increase the cost of electricity to the point where nuclear power becomes viable.

In Australia this means an increase of 300% I believe.

To then 'promise' nobody will have to pay this increase is just plain wrong.

  • @goggycozzle You haven't even listened to the video that you are commenting on! Julia Gillard did not make the promise that you say she did. Furthermore you say that you are not even referring to the tax increase that she was referring to in your imagination scenario, but one based on false information that you have pulled out of your rump.

Do you realise how silly that sounds?

  • @RasPesher

And what figure would you offer for our electricity to become expensive enough for nuclear power to become viable?

  • @goggycozzle We are definitely not on the same wavelength here. As I understand it SA has the highest reliance on renewable energy and the lowest electricity prices in Australia. Whilst an individual wind generator may be subject to local wind conditions, a network of turbines scattered over an area the size of Australia becomes much more predictable and reliable for use as a component of base load. If wind turbines are cheaper why use nuclear?

  • @RasPesher

As I understand it wind can only meet baseload energy demand for about ten percent of the year.

If wind and solar was already cheaper, there wouldn't be a carbon tax.

My point is that this tax is a way to sneak nuclear energy in through the back door.

  • @goggycozzle "If wind and solar was already cheaper..."

Yes wind and solar already are cheaper for some applications. That is why SA with the highest reliance on renewables has the lowest electricity prices. It is well known that the fossil fuel industry is running scared of competition from wind turbines. The fossil fuel industry operates front organisations to protest the building of wind turbines. They bus protestors into local rural areas from outside.

  • Comment removed

  • @goggycozzle CONT...

The front umbrella organisation is known as Australia Landscape Guardians. They then set up puppet organisations to protest wind turbines. Puppet groups such as the Waubra Foundation. A group which appears to have no local Waubra resident on its Board but operates out of a postal address in SOUTH MELBOURNE, the same postal address as the Australia Landscape Guardians.

  • @RasPesher

Wind and solar don't supply base load current year round. In those other periods ( which is about 80% of the time ) there will have to be other non-renewable power. Which is coal or nuclear.

With a carbon tax, this tilts the economics in favor of nuclear.

My chief concern is this carbon tax will amount to a subsidy for nuclear power plants.

That this carbon tax is in fact a trojan horse for the nuclear industry.

  • @goggycozzle "Wind and solar don't supply base load"

    Do you know why?

Currently it is a price consideration not a physical constraint; if built wind and solar can do the job. Carbon sequestration has not met its promise. Going forward, coal is not really an option (due to global warming and ocean acidification). At the moment wind power is cheaper than nuclear so the carbon tax is not a Trojan horse..

  • Comment removed

  • @RasPesher

"..wind power is cheaper than nuclear..."

Wind and solar are sporadic, seasonal and only potentially predictable.

They cannot efficiently form the backbone of electricity generation.

    The technology isn't ready yet.

You assert that 'wind and solar can do the job', would you also volunteer reviewable costings so that the taxpayers can see roughly how much more they will be forced to pay for exactly the same thing as they are already getting now?

  • @goggycozzle Pricing carbon has NOTHING to do with nuclear energy. The point is to make it cost money to pollute. Once the polluters have to pay, they will reduce their emissions. Nuclear will never be viable in a massive, sparsely populated country like Australia.

  • The plan won't work unless the whole word puts in the carbon tax, also they fear a recession, it's not going to help if all us Australians have to pay more taxes is it ? everything will become more expensive including export to other countries so they will not buy from us, they make us pay but continue to burn fossil fuels everyday. PATHETIC !

  • @baconified Firstly let me say that I did not vote for Julia at the last election. I am not blindly following Julia. Your implication that I am a sheep is a LIE. YOU BEACONIFIED ARE A LIAR. Also you had implied that Julia was lying in THIS VIDEO not at some other time. Rather than back up your claim with substance you have equivocated instead, substituting a different claim; one of trustworthiness in general. I am sure that for all politicians you can find something to quibble about.

  • @RasPesher

You are hilarious. LMAO. Night night lil sheep.

  • @hmjklsyp Not having a personality is a good thing, if it is anything like yours.

  • @baconified You can stand in the corner with your dunce hat on, all you like. There will always be a wanker somewhere yelling liar, liar, liar. You obviously qualify!

  • Julia, it takes courage to save not just the country but the world. Go girl!

  • The thing is I'm all for removing pollution from our air,

Australia Labor and Green Party take note: CARBON DIOXIDE is NOT pollution.

We are not heating up the globe but some pollution is making us sick, please reduce the carcinogenic elements in the air we breathe. Hint " its not co2".

  • @TOMCATALEXANDER You have half a good point.

Unfortunately we don't burn pure carbon to produce CO2, instead we burn coal. Coal powered electricity generation in Australia doesn't just produce CO2 but the majority of other toxins too. Hint " it's coal."

  • @austr8lia well put!

  • It takes great vision to introduce a carbon tax that is required to combat climate change.Regardless if you are liberal or labour, it takes leadership. If we do not save the planet then there will be no food or water for us to drink or eat. She is a leader of her time.

  • Magic mushrooms must be in abundance down canberra which is no big deal but for fuck sake keep this air head and her whacky crew off them.

  • No, the big companies won't find innovations at all, their not going to spend that kind of money in a hurry. Not when they know its cheaper to just move offshore, this bunch of clowns really have no idea.

  • CAABON TAAAX

  • Those of you who are condeming the carbon tax policy open your eyes.

Green house gases are damaging our environment and we owe a duty of care to save it. what better way than carbon tax. This tax will be paid by large organisatiion who pollute the most. As a result some products might inflate in price. So what if it does, just consume less. Think of poorer countries who cant even afford to buy medications and die as a result and here we are thinking of consumption. Selfish in my view!!!!

  • @austr8lia I wish the British public would see the same sense as you guys, Labor ruined the united kingdom, Labor governments ruin countires

  • @austr8lia British Royalty? What are you on about? Not that mad conspiracy theory?

  • @topologyrob Mad? You're mad. Too naive to believe anything 'out of the ordinary', or something you don't want to hear. It's very real.

  • @milkwasabadchoice131 We could protest by organizing a national day when everyone turns their power off at the meter box effectively reminding them who the cash cow really is and that they have already sucked it dry. Enough is enough. Turn off all the crap and read a book. Better yet cook a meal on an open fire in your backyard instead of the stove.

  • @sonyfier i meant like a site or organisiation or some group i can join that actively organises itself and regualrly acts out as a large group

  • @milkwasabadchoice131 I'm not aware of anything yet myself. If you find something pass it on.

  • @sonyfier Will do man, Im searching all over trying to find somthing

  • As long as Aus gets better Internet I couldn't care less who runs out country

  • "GIVE US YOUR MONEY, Mwahahahahaaha!!!"

  • Fracking is 1000000000000000000000 times worse for the environment than CO2, which we exhale...

    FUCK THE BREATHING TAX!

  • The only two things that will end the planet is nature itself or nuclear weapons not a cow shit or horse fart. What caused the extinction of the dinosaurs and the ice age ? There were no cars, factories or pollution back then.Nature did it. Australia's carbon emissions are minimal compared to the rest of the world. You sold your sole to the Devil just to become PM.Your party are puppets to the Greens. Now we have to pay a bullshit tax because of you lame policies and screw ups.God help Australia !

  • WHY is it Carbon credits are up for Austion by GRAYS online today. Being sold by a sydney solar company with verified credits underwritten by US & UK finance companies. As well as promoted by some dubious Inidan operators. Not forgetting the verifying company has members such as Coca Cola, Nike, JP morgan, Bank Swiss + More. yep all credible scientific authorities to ENFORCE GLOBAL SCAM TAX.

  • All I want for Christmas is November 2013. Please Santa!

  • This bitch has trolled all of Australia.

  • Australia is the first to sign the declaration of a new era which will change the course of civilisation as we know it.

  • Traitor. Sell out. Keep your lies and propaganda to yourself. Many of us are aware of the hidden agendas and how we got to this point. More people are waking up and using their brains again despite the distractions and minefield of lies and subterfuge daily. We will fight you at every level we can and will not go quietly. Do the math. NWO conspirators will ultimately fail when the people wake up and revolt and criminals and traitors that hijacked the world for their own gains will stand trial.

  • well julia you and tony abbott worst politicians ever

    manufacturing going overseas

farming going-and allowing chinese veg to goto NZ then sold to us with toxic chemicals

mining you sell coal to other countries in which they burn but the responsibility of carbon is on us

jobs allowing people from NZ to work here and send most there wage back to NZ..WTF look at port botany

jaoling the boat people but treating people overstaying there visa like kings

grow some fuking balls and run the country

  • "The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."

  • Our leaders reduced to hawkers for Marius Kloppers Olympic Dam uranium mine.

  • Lets get Rudd back, fuck Abbot WORK CHOICES WILL SEE THIS COUNTRY IN RUINS. Fucking carbon tax we are carbon based lifeforms dirty you theives!!!!!!!!!!! Not enogh inclusive research and the aussie public just keels over again..

  • None of what she says is actually happening. Even if it was, where is all the money going? Vested interests as usual, I suppose!

BTW, CO2 is plant food not pollution! Their ignorance of true science is appalling. "Liars" does not even scratch the surface.

  • had a look at my bill 1.5t of carbon, $37 a quarter for nothing. The only ways these clowns is to control anything is using our wallet. Any thing people want is taxed more and more. I cant remember the last thing this goverment has done good for the people. Gillard go on Holiday and do nothing , that way you be doing better. What a disgrace of a PM.

  • Lier, lier, hair's on fire.

  • Yay! We get to pay to breathe!

    (sarcasm)

  • Carbon taxes will be the death of small business and corporations, does any1 believe australians will support the bankers tax and their corporations, they will crumble to the ground, Aussies will drop them like a pile of shit, all manufacturing and jobs will go off shore and business will close down across the board. Gillard is a british puppet hell bent on destroying this country, she still receives her golden handshake and million dollar retirement. corrupt lying bitch.

  • COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNISTCOMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNISTCOMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNISTCOMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNISTCOMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNISTCOMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST that's all we need to know gillard, oh i'm sorry i'm sorry, i mean "comrade gillard".

  • We're gonna pay anyway, it's like filling a bucket off water with not holes..

Message: No matter how long we leave that bucket, it will always be the same amount until it's overflowed(meaning; we pay the tax)

Unless someone kicks the bucket or it evaporates but, you get the point..

  • yeayeayea....stop using global warming as a excuse to want to TAX us once again

just because Thatcher, Howard and you say that we are causing global warming, that its gospel, CRAP I SAY!!!

YOU SAID YOU WONT BRING IN THE CT WHILE YOU THE PRI MINISTER LIAR

  • thumbs up if you think Julliar Gillard will get sacked one day

  • lol there is more carbon crap coming from volcanoes around the world. Put the tax on the countries with volcanoes lol. "wink" Tax to breath, drink water, soon you will have to pay tax for having a shit. hmm, I think they already do that.

  • Treason:

    1. (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) violation or betrayal of the allegiance that a person owes his/hers sovereign or his country,

    2. A betrayal of trust or confidence.

Gillard: {Declaration to the people on the Eve of the election]

“There will be no carbon tax under any Government I lead”

    Guilty as charged…

I move for a vote of no conference and for charges to be laid!

  • If only she had said "There will be a carbon tax under the government I lead". No one would even remember her name----

  • @winterka100 i hate her, but i sat back the other day and thought hang on she said "there will be no carbon tax under the government i lead" but in reality its bob brown whos calling the shots and running the show,

  • @MrAussiebogan I was thinking the same thing about Bob Red leading the country, then I realised that no one is running the country. Labor just bounces from one knee jerk reaction to the other,in blind panic, reaching into OUR bucket of money and throwing it into random directions hoping it will land in the right spot. The only good news is,after the next election, we won't see those criminals for 100 years.

  • She's history at the next election. That's the only silver lining.

  • woohooo..... Finally it passed.. great day for Australia. :) only up from here..

  • @forbzy1590 Sure, retail prices perhaps.

  • Well they`ve done it!! TAXED THE AIR WE BREATHE!! Idiots. Strapping a ball and chain to the countries heels as it approaches global economic turmoil. I am ashamed of my prime minister. Bring back Jonnie Howard!

  • @ChaseTheDub

Mate I do feel she knows that the Carbon Tax will sink Oz but she like K Dudd are more interested in thier egos about how important they are.

The funny thing is the Drug Addicts (Greens/cicil libertarians/activists etc) all live in inner suburban capital cities. What is really frightening is while the Conservatives or Katters lot will in due course dig Oz out of all this shit, there is at least 10 percent of Australia (Greens) committed tto the destruction of life as we know it!

  • @Inconvenientruths mate The Green/left wing political parties of the world have been losing ground & influence in North America & Europe over the last few years, that tide hasn't hit us yet, but it soon will. The Greens here are a spent cartridge . Once this next financial crisis hits us, all the bullshit ''save the planet' policies, like the carbon tax, and $10billion ''green energy fund'' will be history, cause people will be more interested in feeding their families than 'saving the planet'

  • climate has always changed throughout global history, weather will always change....we have been leaving the last ice since, well, since the last ice age peaked.....can we leave an ice age without the globe warming?

using a few fundamental facts with some far out political spin is all i see here.

  • Love all the henny penny comments, keep it up fools.

  • Gillard will go down in Guinness world book of records as the world's most laughed about gullible bimbo who believes her own borrowed lies.

  • Julia's Right Package... I can see it now: an epic by New World Order Films of The Future - staring a Julia Roberts Illuminati clone who portrays the cloned Australian Prime Monster Julia Ghoulard during her rein of terror in Australia at the time of the country's peasant uprising and her debilitating accent whilst in the commander's seat during the battle of Armageddon Queensland Next.

  • Gillard's carbon tax teleprompter script sounds like the ramblings of a repetitive alcoholic brain injured goldfish.

  • Goodbye steel industry

    Goodbye manufacturing

    Hello to higher prices

    Hello to unemployment

  • Gorgeous Julia Gillard.

  • WHY! the carbon tax will do nothing! There is NO absolute proof that we alone are causing global warming... the earth has gone through and will continue to go through warming and cooling periods, you are not helping the world with your ridiculous shenanigans Julia, just because you are prime minister does not mean you have an obligation to change policy... focus on the economy while you still have the position.

  • OMG Australia's most stupid P.M. at 0:55 she actually says that "Global Warming" will effect the Great Barrier Reef adversely...OMG if the temperature and the sea level both rise then that would make conditions better for coral reefs, she is such an embarrassment.

  • 70% plus Australians do not support gillard, but she must think that 70% Australian's are stupid and cant see whats good for them. There is no accountability is Aus politics, she will stuff the country and the next PM will say sorry but that was not my fault but the fault of the previous goverment. We can survive a lot but not the Gillard/Rudd stupidity, Gillard listen to what people are saying they are not as stupid as you think they are. Please don't destroy Australia.

  • @chklitttle Yeah and her nose is big too.

  • What the hell will tax do to save the environment?

  • The government now charges for BASIX (Building and Sustainability Index) certificates required for building or extending your home, they used to be free, this will rake millions for the government every year.

  • Thank you I am joined today to LIE, BULLSHIT & TAX you fools ! More bushfires, more drought, more death & destruction!!!!!! Stop the killer CARBON, TAX the TAX payer & give the money to a New World Government, Bullshit!

  • Chase the Dub everyone is going crazy and hating Julia cause the media says so .. in that case before u go on pointing the finger looking for who's the bad guy is maybe u should read up on what exactly the carbon tax is ... how it will effect individual Australians...and look at both side of the fence and what tony and julia has to say about it .. do your research before u open your mouth and make yourself look stupid..

  • Ok, She hasn't lied about anything. Yes, she said that there would be no carbon tax. And she hasn't put on a carbon tax. She has put on a carbon PRICE. Carbon Pricing is when big business polluters have to pay each ton of carbon pollution that they have made. It has nothing to do with Australian families paying a tax. It is just Big companies paying for every ton of carbon pollution that they make.

  • 6 days before the election she said there would be no carbon tax....therefore carbon is tax free...when is the class action starting about this carbon tax?

  • Dredge the sediment instead of tax the people. The polluters would not have been allowed to pollute if you had balls to make pollution control work.

  • @FeelFree3 We wanna stop burning fossil fuels tho yeah?

  • Well done Julia, Climate change is real - lets do something about it!

  • She sounds like robot when she talks, anyway, the carbon tax is a scam and she is a liar, but what else is new.

  • You can't have a REG DOG with a BROWN tail. Carbon tax is simple more money for the government less for us and NO CHANGE to the environment

  • There are already lots of taxes in Australia compare to many other countries. For example about half of the petrol price we pay is for tax. The average petrol price recently is $1.5/L which means $0.75/L is paid for government tax. If they ignore the objection of Australian citizens and pass the carbon tax, they should a least lower the petrol tax.

  • Yes...it's very simple people...just do what you're fucking told and believe us that we'll charge the large corporations...while giving them that money back 10-fold in bank loans which they don't have to ever pay back...it's simple...now bend over.

  • "You'll be better off"

Means you will be worse off

  • the polluters will pay and hand on the cost to the customers.

Grow up woman ! get a life and realise !

Australia is doomed with the Green Labor Alliance. Vote Katter's Australian Party

  • what about in five year a Tax Return we be unheard of?

  • I bet 1:50 was the moment a collective swear-word was spoken by the TV audience.

  • Science is end.......

  • So basically whats being said here is that all large mulitnational corporations are about to Leave Oz and set up in third world countries.. But don't worry Ozzies as soon as you are living in a commusist third world country they'll come back to pick over your dry bones ...lol Nice

This woman looks EVIL ! !

  • 'Julia Lizzard' - 'The Lizard Of Oz'!

  • @RomanAlsaceLorraine

I think her full name is "Juliar Lizzard"? You mispelled her name, mate.

  • @RomanAlsaceLorraine Don't insult lizzards! Call her pinochio instead (besides it suits her better).

  • that didn't make much sense, unfortunately it wouldn't either for Austrlia to implement a carbon tax as mining exports are more than half all of our exports, think twice, we're already running at a deficit not to mention the high ausy dollar isn't helping. There is no feasible explanation to support this tax. Ross Ganaut his self constructed a graph stating that Australia is producing less than 1 percent of all greenhouse gas emitions, sounds like a smart idea to tax australia? don't think so.

  • David Jones, Target and Pharmacies that sells Cosmetics, Jewelry and Fashion for woman and girls only there's never a day of bad business unlike for other businesses strive hard to keep up with everyone. For young girl or a woman to go out on a day with her friends or herself she will spend more than $500 to $1000 dollars everyday like for Hair dressing and shopping compared to men and boys shop no more than 3 times a week like for visiting the bottle shop or have a drink at the pub.

  • No matter how expensive the choice of purchase at any clothing shop available at west fields Shopping center in Australia Sydney both woman and young girls willingly to pay whatever the price maybe for her to look beautiful. Unlike for men and boys don't spend so much money like woman and girls do. Even though Australia is going through tough time in this Economic crisis carbon tax have pressured business to pay more tax of how much they sell but for West fields have no problem with Carbon tax.

  • Did you know ever since the new carbon Tax applied on every Australian business in Australia. For allot of business are striving are striving to stay functional and running for open business for customers yet there few places where Carbon Tax be at least the worry for places like for West fields Shopping centers, gyms and recreation sports. Customers flock to these places to shop and buy money that flows in like water mainly woman's fashion and cosmetics. Shop's are never empty always full.

  • Julia, do you understand economics? Australia's biggest industry is mining, and what does that require... lots of energy... therfore lots of carbon. Now tell me, how does taxing the most productive industry in our country with a double dip recession looming sound like a good idea?

  • Julia Gillard is a Socialist pig pushing for more control over the Australian population.

The carbon tax is a socialist alternative to wealth redistribution.

This socialist liar is leading our country into the Chinese way of life.

because we all know when we want to look for a shining example of freedom we look towards China.

Your internet censorship, Carbon tax, idiotic socialist goals will not be tolerated for long. The people of this country are not as dumb as you would like to think we are.

  • Federal Treasury analysis shows the Opposition's direct action climate change policy would cost twice as much as a carbon tax for the same reduction in emissions.

  • So I drive 1 hour to work every day producing 500grams (estimate) of CO2 . Now with a carbon tax in place, I drive 1 hour to work everyday producing 500grams of CO2. So how have I reduced carbon levels gobshite?

  • @steak96SAUCE The carbon tax is a concept to bring more income to the government. I am from China, in my country there is also a thing called 'green economy' or 'low carbon life'. Government just manipulate those terms to get more money. They are all bastards.

  • @lkj17 Its bullshit aint it? i aint paying $20,000 + for a green shite car that looks like a dogs breakfast that has been chewed up, spat out, eaten again and shitted out. If this green fucked government really thinks this tax that effects us more than anyone will lower carbon emissions, what kind of government do we operate under? fuck, i can do a better job because i this fatass bitch's job, i will be the voice of the people and make decisions that benefit them not the fat pricks in parliament

  • @steak96SAUCE Well, to look at her side, you could buy a 1.8L car rather than a 4.0L car. The carbon emission will reduce. This measure will not cost you too much and can save tonnes petrol per year.

  • @steak96SAUCE The same one kilometre drive, you may choose to buy a more economical car. So the carbon emission will be lower.

  • @smezec because if bug electric, gas, water companies etc.. get taxed on carbon, we get effected because they increase there prices on general goods and services they provide. So you may think that a tax will reduce carbon (bullshit) but really as a consequence we end up paying more for services and goods

  • So, they are taxing companies that are harming the planet and using the proceeds to give a tax cut to working families and you guys are COMPLAINING about it?! Fucking mental...

  • Some light entertainment for those who feel this government has no mandate! youtube.com/user/funkleberryjam?feature=mhee#p/u

  • GILLARD, U R GOOOOOOOOOOOOONE~~~~!!!!!

  • But no this country dosn't even have a democratic government so they can not call another election because australia has barely any freedom and rights

  • The Governor-General needs to sack this pathetic Prime Minister and call a snap federal election. I've had enough of her confected arrogance.

  • If we followed the US Constitution, "equal protection" would mean something. But the unelected fourth branch of government -- the immense, unaccountable federal bureaucracies -- like the EPA, doesn't give a damn what you, congress, nor I think -- what's fair -- or whether the Constitution authorizes its existence. Which is something to think about long and hard in 2012. It's all about money. You want the EPA deciding where America's money goes? EPA fees/fines are taxation without representation.

  • what a bunch of bullshit

  • Julia is lying. The planet in NOT warming but cooling. The planet has actually cooled in the last 15 years. Further this tax is to make us slaves of the Illuminati, until they control every aspect of our lives. Make no mistake even if Julia is ousted at the next election - the Liberal Party will not get rid of the tax and if they do they will replace it with another tax. Remember no Primeminister is elected, they are selected before elected. The Freemasons run Australia.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 no the planet is warming, the ice would not be melting if it were getting cooler!

  • @RuffianQueenOfRacing I must respectfully disagree with you. NASA's own research has shown that the earth is cooling and this is just another tax in order to make us slaves of the New World Order. This is designed to bankrupt the nation so that we all cry out for a one world currency. Nothing is done by accident, every law and tax that is passed is preplanned for the ultimate goal of world domination.

    JNR

  • Prime Minister Gillard is the first prime minister in decades to look further than her own term in parliament. That takes guts. Climate change will decimate the world if all countries do not take action. Don't listen to Tony abbot, Australia has been left behind in making the required changes. Per capita we are the worlds biggest polluters

  • @patschultz91 ahh ok so a tax that does nothing will lead the way to changing this world?

  • Wipe your own bum, I dont need someone to wipe mine.

  • Liebour Party

  • @jazzysnaps

    Nearly

    Liebour Party, Lieberal Party !

Carbon Taxes Pay For The Financial Crisis.

And You Are Not Meant To Understand.

Because You Are Slaves To The Banksters.

  • @markscott7777777 Exactly my point this so call carbon tax will pay for everything except carbon reduction

    and ti do understand.

  • bailouts for banks and taxes for the peasants.

obey your govt. they love you.

  • take your untrialed vaccinations you fucking peasants.

obey your govt. they love you.

  • the avalanche of youtube uploads that tell us you are a two faced bitch !

must be true its an avalanche.

  • Everybody pinch your nose and repeat after me: "There will be no carbon tax under the government i lead".

  • Power bill* Julia u suck

  • So I'm gonna have to sell my house Thanx to you Julia. Hard enough trying to pay for the cost of living. I live in a country town, 1300 people, no river, no Coles or willies or beach or dentist or eye docs.......yet.......I pay $1700.00 per year in continually rising rates plus water usage($500.00 per year straight up just for having a water pipe) and every god damn thing else. Now a higher poer

  • Seize clean energy future for a nation of 23 million! yes, while two nations, each of over 1 billion ( China and India), increase coal consumption and pollution. Prime minister and Treasurer, you are both dishonest. Carbon is black soot...tell the truth you lying leach, carbon dioxide is a trace element essential to life. Go away Juliar and Wayne, you are both incompetent buffoons. Call an election now and let democracy bury you both and your ridiculous and dishonest ideals.

  • Building the non-profit company will allow the government to have a company that builds exceptional products for australia. It then allows these products to be sold overseas at profit once this is operational. Build from the ground, don't import anything made on the products. Even the steel etc. Although all countries should be doing this.

  • I feel the carbon tax is good, but being implemented poorly. The government has a good opportunity to help the country.

Why not set up a non-profit company that builds wind and solar devices allowing them to be installed extremely cheaply for business and personally.

I realize that this will put large pressure on others within this industry but who are you really trying to help. Greedy people or the average Australian, that needs a better alternative than
