Metro 2033 core i7 GTX295 1920x1200 Visual Effects

Hey guys I got a question, I just wounder if I will be able to run games like metro and crysis on full graphics if i got this setup:

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-2600 Processor 3,4 Ghz

RAM: Corsair Vengeance™ DDR3 1600MHz 16GB CL9

Graphic card: ASUS GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB PhysX CUDA

@Kebaben2000 it depends :D

if you are going to play on 1920x1080 then you wont have enough on a gtx 560(because 1 gb memory isn't enough,and the gpu itself wont be strong enough)

if you want decent fps for these games i would recommend sli 470/570's or a oveclocked 480/580 ;)

I used to play that way for years. Finally I just got tired of certain games not being able to reconfigder with the use of the R button to being forward. Just took some getting used to, but yeah, I prefer it now.

Resolutions such as 1920 x 1080 and 1920 x 1200 do not need Anti Aliasing, It has little effect on visuals, and a larger hit on FPS.

Anti Aliasing is meant for fixing jaggies on lower resolutions to compensate for texture compression

we also have to look at the size of the screen.

when we are talking about LCD monitors with 22'' or more, even if you configure to HD resolution, you will still suffer because an observed low quality pixels.

About this game..

i have to admit, it is a little strange.

my video card is GTX260, 4 gb RAM, C2D 3.0 ghz . as i thought until this moment, my computer is "not bad", but when i setting this game to the maximum video options, i see much lags and it is impossible to play.

whats ur gtx 295's temp. sit at when playing this game at 1920x1200 direct x 10, high, aaa, x4 filtering? cuz i think i'm on the verge of finally discovering my gtx 295 to possibly be defective in temp. those settings i listed above, my card gets to 105c temp after about 10 mins of play...if yours doesn't get that high with those settings then i know my card has a problem and i didn't even know it for the longest time...piss me off.

Good graphics. If this games was well programmed it should Run on high settings using a 9800 GTX with no problems.

I use this computer to do a lot of cuda application that recwire hi amount of processing power. I also try some time to make my own cuda application they are never amazing but i try lol. but the core i7 helps with every thing.

I have this game for both pc and 360 and they are both amazing.

My pc spec

Intel core i7 extreem 4 ghz

Ram 24 gb of 1660 MHz

Nvida Geforce GTX 480 in sli

2 ssd 250 gb hard drives in raid 0

I would recomed trying the gtx 480 they make this game run amazing.

This game is just rediculous, even on dual gtx480s its not smooth! Still looks juicy though :p What kind of frames do you get without AA and fraps? Thinking of torturing my 5870 a bit....

Wow you have a beastly pc! MrSkafo recording in real time at that resolution with the graphics settings he's at in 720P puts alot of strain on the cpu gfx and ram so it goes to show we're still far away from recording 60fps 720P or even 1080P if that day comes. Maybe we can but I'm not willing to spend 10K plus on a damn pc that can LOL
