  • Anybody know what games were at 0:19 and 3:04?

I'm also trying to remember a game that i'm sure was on the BBC micro but for the life of me, can't think what it was called.

It's a Train game. It was on a single screen with several circular tracks all joined in different places with track switches. The goal was to keep all trains from crashing, moving them into and out of the different circles of track via the switches. Levels got harder with more / faster trains. Around the year 1984-1986.

  • (top-down screen like a birds-eye view of a maze)

  • 3:41 Stryker's Run, by Chris Roberts. Went on to do the Wing Commander games.

8:32 Ravenskull, developers went on to found Reflections, did the Driver series of games.

  • I'm amazed there were 100 games available for it.

  • @TheCarambah More like 1,000 I think -- I have a Retro Gamer somewhere with a figure, but can't find it now. It was a much better games micro than many people give it credit for.

Nice collection here -- most of my favourites are in, though no Bubble Bobble. (Okay, it wasn't actually released at the time, but...)

  • @Loganberrybunny I used to play Cybertron Mission and Elite on the 64.

  • Can anyone remember the name of the game that comes in at 9:10? Cheers

  • wots the game at 3.45? that games amazing!

  • @andy9966 Stryker's Run, Superior Software.

  • Great vid brought back lots of happy memories, would love a list tho :)

  • Love it!

There's only about 3 in there that I couldn't name for sure :p

  • Oh shit Galaxian, Defender, Snooker, Cylon Attack..

    Citadel was nails.

  • What was the game at 3:09? I used to have a BBC Micro when i was a kid and it had about 40 pirated games on disks. They even had a menu on the disks to load them up. Tempted to get one off ebay now..

My favourites were Thrust, Repton 2, Frak!, That sequel to manic miner i cant remember the name of... *exec !boot

  • @wetherhills I think the game at 3:09 is BMX On The Moon. The sequel to Manic Miner, meanwhile, was Jet Set Willy. A further sequel, Jet Set Willy 2, also appeared on many platforms, including the Beeb. Hope this helps.

  • Sweet compilation and choice of music. I reckon I've played about half of them, and I'm surprised that you included Gunsmoke near the end. I thought it was one of those fairly obscure games :-)

  • Loved this. So many i had forgotten any chance of a List of games tho?
