Hats off to Ray and the crew for giving us such an awesome song. It's one of the first
I pull out of the hat when I have my acoustic sitting around the fire. People love it!
This song is a jewel!!! Thank you Ray and Trooper for giving us this one! Timeless songs are hard to come by and this one is timeless! Everyone can relate!

This has been my favourite Trooper song forever, but it would appear I got one of the lines wrong. I always thought the first line of the 3rd verse was, "Cruisn' from a sunny port" but now, I realize it is "Cruisin' on a sardine boat"! Woulda never guessed that! lmao!!!
I used to sing this song to my son when he was 6 years old playing with his pirate ship complete with a 'crowsnest' for the first mate to shout from. He would giggle at me and soon try to sing it himself. It would crack me up everytime.
Ahh,good ole westcoast rock n roll...thanks for posting this, one of the best songs of a generation where music was just a fun passtime, music was music and the passion for just playing and jamming to create something special,a lost trait in music today,Music isn't always about money...thanks again for posting this, sends me back to growing up on the North Shore(Lynn Valley)60's and 70's and all the great music that came out of Vancouver at the time..so many great bands and fun times
My name is Richard Gordon and I am an English teacher from Houston Texas. I was expelled from Canada in 1987 but the one thing I really miss is Trooper on the local radio. I was recently caught hitting-on some of my students but the school governors are so outdated and draconian, they just do not understand that I have needs. Trooper rocks!
This song reminds me of what it's like to be a human being... Why? I would be a crazed killer cause people make me sick. But, when I listen to this song and take a step back and think I am like the captain, and I could care less...
I always chill out on the beach to this song !!!! Always been a part of my summer !

This song sounds a lot like "Ride Captain Ride" by Blues Image.
