In MGS 3 all the boss fights with the cobras made me go WTF?! Mainly due to their weird powers and the fact they exploded, but hey it's Japan. Then the final fight with The Boss was pretty sad and emotional.

the first death should have been #1 in my opinion, some of them were really sad and upseting but not hitting the core of "wtf" as number 10 did.

Gears 3, definitely stepped the drama up.
