I uninstall the old version of Flash Player and install Flash Play 10 like the site tells you. Still can't view the video. Sound is OK.

Beta doesn't worked for me either, sadly I've just been avoiding any channels that have Beta since I can't see the vids on them. Maybe eventually I'll get around with some experimenting to see if I can get the Beta to work.

I have been having flash player problems for a LONG time. I reinstalled the adobe flash player and that seemed to fix my problem for the most part. Thanks for all the info.

I had problems with flash player for a long time also and simple re-installation was working until I was permanently switched to the new beta and couldn't revert. Then I discovered the UK and some other users have been going through this since 10/11 and some people have to go through a whole process like I did of uninstall through zip and reinstalling...

1. Open IE7 and deleted files, cookies, forms, history, passwords and Delete All (overkill)

2. clicked on Security Tab and clicked on Custom Level and scrolled to Run ActiveX controls and Plugins and changed radio button to Prompt.

3. Reset security level to Medium (from Medium-High) and closed IE

4. Clear Private Data in Firefox

5. Disk Cleanup

6. Disk Defragmenter

7. Download "uninstall flash player" from "troubleshoot flashplayer instillation" site in Adobe product support. Adobe TechNote 19166

8. Restart

10. Run "uninstall flashplayer"

11. Restart

12. Download unzip file of flash player from "troubleshoot flashplayer instillation" using Firefox (using IE Laura got a message "internet explorer blocked this program from running in an unsafe manner"

13. Restart

14. Run "install flash player zip file" using Firefox. Adobe TechNote 14157) restart

15. If using Norton (or other firewall) turn off ad blocker, popup blocker, privacy control (let Firefox do that work)

16. Unplug any USB ports that may take bandwith (webcam for example)

17. Restart

18. Run YouTube on Firefox

19. Plug stuff back in

20. You may have to restart a second time to get it to run after all this

...he is and he tried but at the time it was only affecting partner videos and he admits he's not a technical person. I thought it was cool that he replied to my emails so quickly and was concerned.

Nope. No problems here. Looks like you've got the basic diagnostics covered. Cleanup/defrag/checking Flash updates/etc.

I recall having to download a codec pack to get one of the other video sites to work properly, a while back.

A lot of people are having problems. I had downloaded a codec pack to do videos a while ago and initially wondered if that somehow created a conflict. This is a known YT problem with flash player, similar to one I had seen with another site over a year ago with an online security feature and flash player.

I had similar problems, but I just had problems connecting to 2 specific servers out of all that youtube has.

I think you addressed after I left my comment but The issue maybe the browser... Firefox 2.+ or Explorer 7.+ seem to work as well as Safari...Not a big fan of the new layout yet but it will get there...Someday...
