Did you just dig in any random spot or had the location been methodically calculated out with your many years of experience and your vast knowledge of gold prospecting being put into this one spot? . . . . . . :P
Well... the whole valley flattens out in this spot, which is a good sign. Mainly I picked this spot to dig my hole because it's a fair distance from the creek that runs down either side of my 'island'. That gives me a chance to a chance to pump out some water and get deeper. I figured if there is any gold here, it's going to be down a little ways... seeing as I was finding pinecones burried about 2 feet deep in a test hole just up river.
Nop, I dug that hole myself. Access to the location is very difficult and I dont think the gravel pays well enough for any sane person to put any serious work into the location... but nobody ever accused ME of being sane! ;)
weird looking sluice, you might want to try a highbanker. you haven't really shown if you're getting any color, if you are keep up the good work. great video.
